  1. In blue states Roe/Wade has no effect , still economy the main issue for elections. Crime , border we will see. I doubt if Manchin will go with nuclear option to legalize abortion. If republicans win in 24 they could ban abortion even in blue states .
  2. Prior to Roe v. Wade, 30 states prohibited abortion without exception, 16 states banned abortion except in certain special circumstances (e.g., rape, *****, health threat to mother), 3 states allowed residents to obtain abortions, and New York allowed abortions generally. In 2018, 77.7% of abortions were performed at 9 weeks or less gestation, and 92.2% of abortions were performed at 13 weeks or less gestation.[7] By 2020, medication abortions accounted for more than 50% of all abortions.[8] Increased access to birth control has been statistically linked to reductions in the abortion rate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_in_the_United_States#:~:text=Prior to Roe v. Wade,New York allowed abortions generally. Looks like Congress never dealt with laws on abortion.

  4. Trump lunged at Secret Service agent who said he couldn't go to Capitol on January 6: aide The January 6 Select Committee held a hearing to reveal "recently obtained evidence" Tuesday. Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, said that Trump insisted on going to the Capitol despite repeatedly being told he could not. Former top aide to Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Cassidy Hutchinson, made the comments in a Jan. 6 Committee hearing Tuesday. She said that White House Counsel Pat Cipollone warned repeatedly that Trump going to the Capitol could put many people at the White House in legal jeopardy. According to Hutchinson, former Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Tony Ornato told her, "he was under the impression from Mr. Meadows that the off the record movement to the Capitol was still possible and likely to happen." But when Secret Service agents broke the news to him, "the president had a very strong, very angry response to that. Tony described him as being irate. The president said something to the effect of, 'I'm the f-ing president, take me up to the Capitol now." Hutchinson said Ornato also told her Trump tried to "grab at the steering wheel" of the "Beast" presidential limo, and Trump then lunged at the Secret Service agent in charge at the time. https://www.foxnews.com/live-news/jan-6-committee-watch-live-tuesday-hearing
  5. Put Cassidy in the witness protection program and let her sing.
  6. Nancy needs to appoint another commission as long as Liz and Kinzinger are the only republicans again 🙂
  7. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot makes profane attack on SCOTUS at Pride event: 'F--- Clarence Thomas' Lori Lightfoot defended her vulgar attack on Justice Thomas with a tweet: 'I said what I said' https://www.foxnews.com/politics/lori-lightfoot-chicago-clarence-thomas-profanity I think black people are starting to like him 🙂

  9. If it's not the job of the Supreme Court to figure out and interpret the Constitution then what is their job "As the final arbiter of the law, the Court is charged with ensuring the American people the promise of equal justice under law and, thereby, also functions as guardian and interpreter of the Constitution."
  10. You don't say , I was being sarcastic
  11. This is how Trump supporters reacted to seeing parts of Jan. 6 hearing about the MAGA rally he attended in Mississippi https://www.cnn.com/videos/media/2022/06/26/jordan-klepper-intv-trump-supporters-jan-6-hearing-acostanr-vpx.cnn
  12. Well the Red States will need to spend a fortune on new foster care. I doubt they start building orphanages . Not to worry the right wing of the Supreme Court will figure it out.
  13. June 25, 2022 7:18pm EDT Browns' Deshaun Watson disciplinary hearing set to begin Tuesday: report The decision in Deshaun Watson's disciplinary hearing could reportedly come as early as a week League sources told ESPN on Saturday that Watson’s hearing before the NFLPA and the league’s jointly appointed disciplinary officer, Sue L. Robinson, is scheduled to begin Tuesday with the NFL pushing for a "lengthy" suspension. If either the union or league appeals Robinson’s decision, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell or his designee "will issue a written decision that will constitute full, final and complete disposition of the dispute," per terms of Article 46 in the CBA. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/browns-deshaun-watson-disciplinary-hearing-tuesday
  14. Trump , McConnell , republicans it's mission accomplished . At least now all women love you 🤔
  15. Sen. Collins suggests Kavanaugh, Gorsuch lied during Senate testimony about respecting Supreme Court precedent Collins says the court 'abandoned a fifty-year precedent' Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, suggested on Friday in the wake of the Supreme Court’s move to strike down Roe v. Wade that Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh misled her on the abortion issue in testimony and in private meetings. "This decision is inconsistent with what Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh said in their testimony and their meetings with me, where they both were insistent on the importance of supporting long-standing precedents that the country has relied upon," Collins said in a statement shortly after the court struck down Roe v. Wade by a 5-4 vote. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/sen-collins-suggests-kavanaugh-gorsuch-lied Sen Joe Manchin agrees with Sen Collins

  18. Biden did exactly that at his 12:35 address
  19. The bottom line is the Republican politicians have gotten what they wanted.
  20. ‘Alarmed’ Joe Manchin Accepts He’s Been Played by Kavanaugh and Gorsuch “I trusted Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh when they testified under oath that they also believed Roe v. Wade was settled legal precedent and I am alarmed they chose to reject the stability the ruling has provided for two generations of Americans,” Manchin wrote in a statement. The Catholic senator said he’s still anti-abortion but supports legislation to safeguard the rights previously protected by Roe. He said he’s hopeful that Democrats and Republicans can draft such legislation, though there hasn’t been much consensus to do so in the past. https://www.thedailybeast.com/senator-joe-manchin-feels-betrayed-by-brett-kavanaugh-and-neil-gorsuch-after-roe-v-wade-decision
  21. 11/21/2013 The Senate approved a historic rules change on Thursday by eliminating the use of the filibuster on all presidential nominees except those to the U.S. Supreme Court. Invoking the long-threatened “nuclear option” means that most of President Barack Obama’s judicial and executive branch nominees no longer need to clear a 60-vote threshold to reach the Senate floor and get an up-or-down vote. https://www.politico.com/story/2013/11/harry-reid-nuclear-option-100199 No McConnell and Trump did it anyway
  22. McConnell ordered by Trump to use the nuclear option to reduce Senate confirmation vote for Supreme Court Justice from 60 to 50 + VP made the SC Court partisan.
  23. I'm pro life but don't impose my beliefs on others. I would imagine pro choice advocates fund raising to cover travel and other expenses to those who can't afford out of state abortion.
  24. Try finding a electric vehicle to buy , lack of computer chips , massive batteries and the other parts just ask Elon Musk about building the Tesla
  25. The vote was 6 to 3, with Chief Justice John Roberts writing a separate concurring opinion. I would have thought Roberts would vote the other way
