Wow it may actually have been you. I remember the game quite well now that I think about it. It was in fact a very defensive game. Something like 16-17. I scored on a play right before the half. I had the ball deep in my own territory like around the 10 or 15. About :50 seconds left in the half. First play, I ran a dive to make it look like I was running the clock. Second play, I ran the same play but play-action and went deep to Lee Evans. My only other score was a defensive TD. And I kicked a 52 yard FG as time expired iirc. I think it was vs Titans, could have been Ravens . Best defense I had ever played against.

I used to play Madden for $ when I was younger. My older brother would set up these matches with guys he knew from school. Won a lot of money (for my brother). I used to play a lot of ranked matches on xbox live. Claim to fame was I once defeated #2 ranked player in the world at the time. I always played with the Bills with JP at quarterback so I was always at a disadvantage as well lol.

He saw his defense getting walked over and he probably wanted to slow it down and give them a break. However, doing that threw off the rhythm of the offense and we ended up giving the ball right back to them, thus getting dominated in TOP in the first half. Went back to tempo in the 4th quarter and the offense picked up it's stride again.

Wow I didn't realize that. That is a problem. Stems from not being able to generate any type of pressure with our front 4.

For all the bitching I did in the GDT, we actually had a decent shot of winning that game despite all of the negative things. - We played a red hot team, who just went on the road and dominated SF. - Lost turnover battle 0-2 (once deep on their side) - Got jobbed with a few calls (The grounding at the half knocked us out of FGR) We looked like crap and didn't play with juice, but it was still a winnable game. Not happy, just trying to be level headed. Still not a Dorsey fan. Defense has a lot of chinks in the armor, but held their own at the end of the day. Need to rip off 2 or 3 in a row.

I agree. It was not a good time to use the challenge. It may have been a catch, but it was almost impossible to tell if it was all glove underneath the ball. The TO was worth more than the 9 yards at the time. I WANT SOME BUTTS!

Yes that's what happened. What if Von makes the tackle though? Would you still want that timeout or would you still be happy with the challenge?

Well to be fair, I just accepted the bet. I didn't bet Bills. It's my fault for not laying it on someone else.

Explain how an extra timeout isn't more valuable challenging a very questionable catch. You won't be able to.

Not the point. It was an extremely questionable challenge call, at a point in the game where your timeouts are more valuable.
