What is up with that Mad Max glove on his throwing hand in that picture? I don't recall him ever wearing that. Or that black elbow pad. His whole right arm looks photo shopped or something. But why? Weird stuff.

I just found out that Kim graduated from the same high school as I did. Thought that was pretty crazy. So in my eyes yes, a fellow Lion is always qualified!!

Does anyone know why the NFL doesn't allow a team to wear more than one style of helmet NCAA teams do? It would be cool to have multiple uniform combo options. Even to wear those hideous Drew Bledsoe Era away uniforms would be cool once every few seasons.

The Allen person project?

I think Allen will be close to what the Raiders thought they were getting with JaMarcus. He seems like he's quite headstrong and has an extreme competitive drive. The true 12 gauge.

Very true. Perhaps they were worried about his durability. Not sure how much Gaines signed a contract for, but I could see where they didn't think he was worth signing to a multiyear deal. Haha yes, just saw the reply before me.. Yes what Happy said.

Most of the time, he was the best player on the field. I don't think he really has top end recovery speed and might be sort of a chess piece on defense. Doesn't quite have the range to play deep in a single high scheme. And that he played a lower level of competition, where he was able to basically out-physical most of his opponents are why he was a day 3 prospect. But he is explosive and a monster. Love him for this defense.

Great fit. Buffalo with E.J. Gaines 2017: 8 -3 / 20 ppg allowed Buffalo without E.J. Gaines 2017: 1 - 4 / 30.4 ppg allowed Not sure if the correlation is related directly to Gaines playing in those games, but he definitely seemed to be a factor in the defenses performance. Taron Johnson has a similar skill set to Gaines and hopefully he can have a similar impact on this defense.

Is it possible he isn't done growing? Another inch or two and he'd be almost 6'7. I have never seen an ILB that tall. Not sure if that'd effect the way he'd be able to shed blocks or anything like that. He'd be like Groot on passing downs though, in the middle of that cover 2.

Solidifying the middle of this defense

This helped me warm up to the idea some. Personality-wise, I think he is a good fit for Buffalo.

I think if EJ played in the Mountain West, he'd look very similar to Josh Allen. I think EJ might even look better.

Watson is light years ahead of Lamar as a passer. More than Lamar is ahead of Watson as a runner. I feel like his game is very much like Mike Vick imo. I do think he's coming out of college a better passer than Vick did and I think when he improves his footwork and gets comfortable in an NFL pocket he could be scary dangerous. I would be ok with him with one of the first round picks. I think he will put up good numbers and put some points on the board. I do kind of worry about him getting hit. 6'3 205 is pretty slim.

I question his football instincts

I want nothing to do with Allen. His game is wildly inconsistent. For every wow throw, he'll make 3 head scratchers. I can't believe he's in the same discussion as Rosen, Mayfield and Darnold. I'd even take Lamar 10 times over Allen.

I could see where they'd want to select Chubb before the Giants have a chance to. I think the Giants could have strong interest in him at #2. With Chubb and a healthy Garrett, that DL would be cooking with FIRE.
