Not sure that there's any helping this offense at this point in the season. But if I were to try I would have to start with the running game. This OL is bad. They're feeling the loss of Wood, Richie and Glenn. I know Cordy wasn't available much the past 2 seasons, but when he was in, he was good. Give #45 more carries. I think Murphy's straight ahead running style may be more effective than Shady's stick and move style and put you in better spots in 2nd and 3rd down. More quick hits to Ray Ray. The kid has a pretty quick first step and can make nice cuts. More plays like in the 4th Q in the Vikings game. Could also be a good way to get to 2nd or 3rd and manageable. More jet sweeps/fake jet sweeps. I don't mean like the reverse to Zay yesterday where he picked up 1 or 2 yards. I'm talking about when the receiver comes in motion and the QB just pivots and hands him the ball. Again, someone shifty like Ray Ray or Murphy would be the best choice. Or just throw some eye candy to the defense. Any kind of misdirection to help this OL.

Patrick Mahomes: He is having an incredible season
Bookie Man replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Andy Reid and McDermott should trade pointers on how to build offense and defense and versa vice. I wanted Mahomes big time in that draft. I have a series of texts to back that up haha! He can throw off so many different platforms and has a rocket arm and can anticipate windows. But I also wanted Barkley after his 2011 season.. At least I got one of my wishes ?. -
Has the light finally gone on for Zay Jones?

Solid game tonight. Hopefully he continues to build. Been looking more legit by the week. -
Kyle Williams and Sean McDermott Monday WGR Segments

Even Flacco is averaging close to 300 a game these days. Trying to get approved for that Elite club card must be. And if I could pick any Bill to play a round of golf with, it'd be KW -
How many yards will Anderson have Sunday
Bookie Man replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
DA has been studying this offense for what, a week? Does anyone else find it crazy that he is jumping right in? Didn't Jimmy G wait like 3 or 4 weeks to start playing for the 9ers last season after he was traded? 167 yards -
Bills in White on White vs. the Colts
Bookie Man replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been clamoring for the red, white and blues for years. I'm thinking blue tops and red pants. I'm not sure if it'd be a glorious combination or a hideous one. Either way, I think I'm the only one who wants to see it. At least try it in a preseason game! #RWB -

McDermott hangs up on Schopp and Bulldog

This is news -
The pump fake is an underused weapon. Drew Brees practices pump fakes in his pre game routine. Manipulating the defense with your eyes and pump fakes is something I think OCs and qb coaches should be a big emphasis on, especially when developing a qb. I remember rewatching Superbowl 27 game 1 vs Dallas in slow motion.. no all 22 back then haha, but their DBs closed on the passes so fast and hard. As soon as Kelly cocked his arm, they were breaking hard. And I remember thinking if he just looked one way with a pump fake and came back to the deep middle this other guy would be wide freakin open!

Long hair is not a strategic advantage
Bookie Man replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you can tackle by the hair and it's legal, can and offensive lineman grab a fistful of dreads while he's run blocking? I've always wondered that? I figured if they could, Belichick would have his guys doing it already. -
T Bridge would have been a good get. I could see him being quite serviceable in this scheme. Sounds crazy, but I was just randomly watching Brock Osweiler videos last week. He made some really nice throws and showed decent pocket presence. Maybe it just seemed nice because I'm used to seeing Buffalo qb play. Big guy, big arm and sneaky athleticism. He kind of seemed like a more polished Josh Allen. I know that Brock has had a tough go and people cringe at his name when talking quarterbacks. But I think there may be something there worth looking into. So if they wanted to groom a big armed qb, I would have rather gone the Brock route and held all of those draft picks and would likely be having more offensive success. I liked the draft for the most part. But instead of trading up for JA, maybe go WR, OL or RB.

He bails out of the pocket too soon before it collapses. I wonder if they run a drill like that in practice. Force him to learn to step up while keeping his eyes down field. Needs to be more anticipitory, and be able to squeeze throws into tight windows. Not sure if the last two can be taught the to level to be a solid nfl qb. But I'm being patient. His overall accuracy needs to improve. Hopefully management will continue to bring in competition like they do at all positions and aren't married to him and willing to die with him.
