I think you are missing the point that Cook's next contract will be in the ballpark of Barkley. The Bills could have had Barkley if they wanted an expensive RB. All signs point to teams moving away from that trend. And if so my suggestion is to trade him now while he has high value if it helps us fix our defense KC for instance had a RB off the couch for pennies and no number 1 WR. It seems more likely that the Bills will follow their lead in that regard.

I want to put WR first but they scored the most points in franchise history without one so maybe not. Pass rush has been absent all year and that has allowed QB's to pick on our terrible safeties. We likely have the worst safeties in the league but if you have a good pass rush then they aren't throwing it to the 3rd level.

If it is then it will be blocked by the normal checks and balances. If it's not then good. They need to look at all of these programs and decide which ones are really needed. The days of free handouts are over
