you can link all you want, i watched the press conference live minutes after it happened and they reported it didn't appear to be ligament damage. get the press conference footage from Aug 5, 2016 and you will see

Peterman = steady and reliable. A sure thing, which will make him a good backup right away. Cardale is too erratic and a wild card. High risk high reward. Not what you want in a backup. You need someone you can count on

Jones looks good, could be the steal of the draft if we actually throw him the ball. Davis is next level but Jones will be a very good pro and maybe the 2nd best wr in the draft when we look back in a few years

my conclusion was it doesn't matter who makes it from the NFC. nobody can beat the Pats. Dallas is on the rise, Seattle is always there, Falcons have a lot to prove if they want to repeat. i remember there were stats like this on Darby saying he was the best corner in the NFL during his rookie year. well needless to say they went after him a bit more in year 2. not that these guys aren't talented and can turn into solid starters, but i think you can find stats to try and prove anything so i would take it with a grain of salt. i am optimistic with Seymour but let's give him some time to develop as a full time starter this year before we annoint him
