  1. Has Flutie been back since then? He's not good enough to be on the wall of fame but we should have him lead the charge or some way of honoring him so he will lift the curse
  2. JP Losman was supposed to be a bargain at the end of round 1. Just as good as the other QB's but went to a smaller school
  3. I didn't realize it was already structured like that. That was smart of Tyrods agent then and shows I was right. Tyrod would get the bulk of the money up front. No way he lasts 3 years. He is a serviceable QB for the next 2 years and super cheap after that if you still want him but highly unlikely
  4. I think it would make some sense for Tyrod to renegotiate. Get what is essentially a big 2 year contract instead of long term and it would benefit both sides. 45+ mil over 2 years with an option to extend it at a much lower price. Tyrod knows he's not that good and his body won't hold up to running much like Vick. Cash in now. Bills get their guy for 2 years and option to get him super cheap at years 3 and 4 if he ends up being good, otherwise it's easy to ditch him at that point if the contract is front loaded. I'm not a contract guru but it makes sense to get more money in your pockets up front rather than have it spread out over 5 seasons when it's very likely you will be cut at year 3 .:Edit:. Didn't realize his contract is already set up to essentially be a big 2 year contract. Proves I was right. No way Tyrod makes it to year 3 with the way it is set up. That's fine. Keep him and draft your guy and in 2 years cut him loose
  5. He has a family now and he's sick of the younger guys that don't have the drive to win it all. He's putting his body on the line out there and if he doesn't think he has a chance to win it all then what's the point. I think ultimately he comes back for one more year then says he's going to retire...Only to come back again and again. Pretty typical at the end of a player's career to want out then miss it but not want to have to go through camp and all that. Favre did it for like 5 years
  6. I want to see Beasley rip Brady's head off but maybe that's just me! Matt Ryan is on a tear, hopefully they can do it one more time
  7. If Seattle runs it in then Pats haven't won a super bowl since 2005.
  8. I saw an interesting stat that Purdue of all places has had a former player on a super bowl team for the past 18 years! I haven't heard about Purdue since the days of Brees and Orton
  9. Lots of defensive players from a team that was a mess on defense
  10. That's funny coming from someone with Mitch as their avatar. Romo is 1 hit from being in a back brace for life. But if he stays healthy he might be pretty decent for 2 years. Does Doug think the rest of the team is good enough to compete now or are we 2-3 years away? That's the question. Are we building for now or the future? Keep in mind in 2-3 years no more Brady most likely
  11. Tyrod is fine for the next 2 years while a QB we draft either this year or next gets ready. What other options are there? I'm sure everyone can agree the QB we need to win the super bowl isn't on this roster so keep drafting one in the meantime
  12. Haha Tyrod is going to win a super bowl? Did the people that say that watch any football today? The QB's playing had more yards passing at halftime than Tyrod has in the whole game
  13. The Patriots are good at throwing footballs. I read that in the newspaper
  14. Jay Cutler doesnt mix with anybody. That's his problem
  15. What has he done in the NFL for people to think he's good enough to play? Add to that he's an alcoholic and an idiot. You must be joking
  16. "should be ready for training camp" I've heard that one before
  17. Oh please are you going to tell me you are enthusiastic about this choice? Are you doing cartwheels down the street yelling YES we got Dennison!!! It's more like let's see what happens and hope for the best
  18. I was out to dinner so I missed my opportunity to freak out with everyone else. Now that it's sunk in for a bit it's like meh, let's see what he can do. Could have been worse, could have been Olson. McCoy was the one I wanted so I think McDermott oversold himself, or at least the media did by tying those 2 together. Oh well no use worrying about it now. At least it's someone with some experience. Let's see what happens
  19. Gave up our seasons in 2000 and go to 1-2 games per year for free with tickets from work. I think I've paid for tickets maybe 3-4 times off Craigslist so the money isn't technically going to the Bills
  20. Schopp is terrible. How has this guy not been fired yet? Does he have compromising photos of his boss or something? I feel like I need to take a prozac after listening to him whine
  21. It's too late now for option 1. It's going to be an all new offense and all new defense. Expect a down year until we know the plays and have the right personnel. If we were going to do option 1 we would have kept Lynn and just fixed the defense. Now we are stuck with option 2. We have too many veterans and players we are stuck with due to salary cap restrictions to do a rebuild. Do your best to try and win now. If it's not going the right way in 2 years, fire everyone including Whaley and Russ, trade away anyone with value, cut the expensive contracts, and start from scratch. I like what Cleveland did by acquiring extra picks but I don't like who they used the picks on so follow that formula except start with the QB and OL and go from there
