  1. A 1 hit wonder with a perceived high risk of career ending injury. Beane is getting ready to lowball the crap out of this one
  2. the media likes to make it a story. whatever he wants to do in his own bedroom should be nobody's business. not sure why anyone would care
  3. I was out with a friend of mine (who is a girl) in Orange County, CA a few years back and being the gold digger that she is, she went up to this older guy with a nice suit and expensive watch. After chatting him up she came back and said no luck, he's gay and has a partner (couldn't marry in CA back then). Also they got to talking and he was a former NFL player, played in the 80's and 90's. I didn't catch his name and didn't really care at the time but the point is there are plenty of former players who are "out" and there are plenty of people still playing who are not so I don't see why this is even a story. There's gay people in football? Wow who cares
  4. well they should have so they could guarantee a top QB in the draft. i think they are giving Tyrod 1 last shot and hoping they can still get a good QB in the draft but that's pretty risky since the Jets and 49ers will be gunning for the top QB's
  5. all they would have needed to do was start Cardale Jones. they can play as hard as they want, they aren't winning
  6. haha well the point was that you better have one of the best QB's in the game if you want to win. true, the Pats got lucklier than any team in history with Brady but the point being the QB is so important that you better be drafting one every year until you get one maybe not EVERY year but when there is a draft with good QB's projected to go 1 and 2 you better be tanking to get them. last year there weren't any QB's that fit that description. there weren't in 2013 or 2014 either. this year Darnold and Rosen are probably 1,2 and that doesn't even factor in other QB's who have had a ton of success and are expected to be great pros like Rudolph, Falk, or Allen. there might be 5 first round QB's this year. we better get whoever we think is the best out of the bunch AT ALL COSTS
  7. I'll take my chances drafting a QB high overall every year until we get one! It's so crucial in the NFL game that you might as well not even show up on Sunday without a franchise QB. Check out the list of the recent AFC championshipl winners and see if you can spot a theme:
  8. Luck was a sure thing. Wilson was just getting lucky. Nobody expected Wilson to be this good, he's too short. You are WAY more likely to find a franchise QB at the top of the 1st than in the later rounds. That's just common sense
  9. i've heard the Patriots have the best fans and the Cowboys too because they are America's Team. i've heard the Bills fans are a bunch of idiots that just get drunk and bodyslam each other onto tables. I believe everything I read on the internet
  10. Word from OTA's and minicamp is that Darby has seriously regressed and there are rumblings that Seymour could start opposite the rookie White. They will give him a shot in camp. He is a better fit for this defensive scheme. And Poyer is terrible. You are going to be wishing we had Aaron Williams back there. The defense will be slightly improved just because the line will do much better in a 4-3 but the defensive back situation is certainly not ideal.
  11. that happened one year, i forgot which, and then we won a bunch of games in a row and then we were IN THE MIX so we couldn't tank and then we ended up like 7-9. and the cycle repeats itself over and over again. always picking mid first rounders. too late to get the sure thing franchise QB's and too early to take a shot on one of the longshots that sometimes pan out. in 2013 we HAD to get a QB so we got EJ with a mid 1st round pick even though he was at best a 3rd round talent. the year before the first QB was Andrew Luck.
  12. and are a lower caliber player than Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck imo. those guys were complete luck. Manning and Luck were sure things. we are only going to win 6 games this year. what's the difference between winning 3 and winning 6 if it gets you one of the 2 best QB's in the draft?
  13. haha, we are always "IN THE MIX" that should be our slogan from the last 20 yrs. the Buffalo Bills...we aren't very good but at least we are IN THE MIX. being in the mix is why we haven't been able to rebuild correctly. the Colts hit rock bottom and got Peyton Manning and then did it again and got Andrew Luck. our GM and coach were there when the Panthers did it and ended up with Cam Newton. we have never hit bottom which is why we have nobody
  14. You are missing the point. When the team's stated and advertised goal is to only make the playoffs then what you get is a team that is barely good enough to maybe make the playoffs. Yes it takes some time to rebuild (not many years, look at the Falcons) but if you have a clear vision that we are building a SUPER BOWL team which starts with getting a SUPER BOWL CALIBER QUARTERBACK then you are all in on winning at all costs. We have not been building a Super Bowl team. We have been building a wild card playoff team. We don't have a quarterback so let's be as good as we can with what we have and that's not how you build a team. That's how you build a .500 team that competes but isn't good enough to win. And that's h you get stuck in limbo for 20 years
  15. If they were tanking they wouldn't have brought back Tyrod. Unfortunately what we are doing is worse. We are shooting for mediocrity. We are in the same place we have been for 20 years: Hoping beyond hope we MAYBE make a wild card if we have a miracle season and all of the cards fall right. The Bills are a case study for how not to run a franchise. If you are bad then be bad and get good draft picks and rebuild. If you are good then go for the Super Bowl. There should be no in between. Living in the in between is why we have been so bad for so many years.
  16. but I thought McDermott was the next Marv Levy? he should be top 5
  17. yes this a big pet peave of mine. i start yelling at the tv every time. it's an easy 5-10 yards every time when they play the Pats especially
  18. i heard Fitz can do the rubix cube and his son is a human calculator. perhaps his son will go to Harvard
  19. jeez Chiefs were so close to being a contender but it seems like they are imploding. and we're reaping the benefits... reference:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWk6JcheLMU
  20. yea but can he get us a QB? i'll bet him $1 that he can't (if that's what it takes)
