  1. haha I saw a funny thing on Twitter that said Boldin saw what the Bills had on offense and decided that achieving World Peace would be easier
  2. Clay was open on the bottom one. If you're even you're leavin' and in that clip he has at least 2-3 steps on the defender so that is pretty open. The top one he throws to an area and that is a good throw. For some reason he likes that waggle throw back play, he hit O'Leary on the same play. When you can put it in the window with the sideline as your friend knowing that only your guy can get to it then that is the right play. I would like to see consistent throws like that from him where he throws to an area knowing that only his guy can make the play. Even if it falls incomplete at least you know it was the right read and the right spot and if the receiver wasn't there then that's on them. If Tyrod doesn't see the receiver there waiting then he doesn't throw it and unfortunately it doesn't work like that
  3. Thanks. Tyrod literally won't throw the ball unless the receiver is wide open so any great stats you think he has is because he's only throwing to wide open receivers, otherwise he's scrambling. That kind of backyard play doesn't work at the NFL level consistently. You might get a few defensive breakdowns that result in big plays but it's not consistent and when it's time to lead the team down the field you can't do it because you are not a consistent QB. Anyhow, back on topic. Eli is a much much much much better QB and I still believe he has a couple of good years left in him. But he might decide to retire before he uproots his family and tries to give it another shot elsewhere, unless it was the perfect situation like it was for his brother in Denver. Dennison is putting him in the shotgun more but it's actually a big misconception that when you are in the shotgun you don't need proper footwork and that's not true. Consistency and timing is all based on proper footwork and when the windows to the receivers are so tight in the NFL, as shown in that article, you need to deliver the ball on time. any openings and the DB is going to recover FAST and that window closes quickly. Timing is the key to consistent QB play
  4. the Giants offense is worse than Buffalo's. Buffalo has 2 pro-bowl caliber OL and a pro-bowl caliber RB. both offenses are bad but for different reasons. our QB doesn't know when receivers are open and can't run the west coast offense. it's 1-2-3 throw and not 1-2-3...4-5..scramble...throw. with a QB that can pull the trigger and keep defenses honest we would be much better off. as long as we have Tyrod, we are going to have 8 in the box and our only hope is that he can scramble for some yards or scramble long enough that someone gets wide open so he will finally throw the ball. read this: https://mattwaldmanrsp.com/2017/09/26/the-nfl-lens-separation/ I hope Cover 1 does a film breakdown of Tyrod one of these days, or maybe they already have. There are receivers open but he literally will not throw the ball until someone is wide open and that doesn't happen in the NFL. that's the mindset of a high school or college QB but he never leared to throw with anticipation. https://twitter.com/twitter/statuses/917889139852398592
  5. WOW you guys want to compare ELI MANNING to Tyrod? yikes. Eli is a former #1 pick, franchise QB, future hall of famer, multiple Super Bowl winner. Tyrod can't even do a 3-step drop, something they teach you in pop warner. he literally needs to SEE the receiver open before he throws and can't throw the receiver open, something you learn in high school. he can scramble around and maybe have 1 or 2 big plays a game but can't consistently lead a 2 min offense. you guys must be joking here
  6. they are trying to win AND plan for the future. winning now is not going to take precedent over winning in the future however. i think they are trying to win the players over and get them to buy in and if you tank i guess it's hard to do that. so they are going to try and win with the little talent there is to work with now but if there's any opportunity to get better in the future that will be the priority over trying to compete now. personally i think it's the wrong approach. if it was me i would have kept Rex and gutted the roster and collected as many picks as possible and THEN get a new GM and let him pick his coach and franchise QB with the #1 overall pick. we have already tried this approach over and over again and it doesn't work. trying to win with a team that's not good enough just gets you worse draft picks and you get stuck in mediocrity for 17 years
  7. Giants have the worst OL in the NFL and now they have no receivers too. No running game doesn't help. Their offense is a mess, not Eli's fault
  8. we are 1 hit away from the Peterman era. Tyrod hurt his chest that one play last game. i thought we might finally get some offense going
  9. Bills will find a way to lose. Football players with extra time on their hands is a bad combination
  10. that was the only good thing that happened that day
  11. remember when Michigan was supposed to be BACK and Big 10 football was supposed to be exciting again?
  12. I'd take Manning, I think he has 2 years left in him and we have the defense to win now
  13. maybe if we still had Andrew Dixon our offense wouldn't be so bad
  14. bring in Fitzpatrick too. also Spiller is still available. we can get Chan to redo the offense. SUPER BOWL
  15. I understand what you are saying. Getting low is more a defensive thing though. DL are taught to fire low off the ball to drive back the OL. The OL don't want to let the DL get to their body though so that's where the long arms come into play. If it's short yardage or goal line straight ahead blocking that's different, you do want the OL to fire off the line low but most blocking isn't pads popping blocking like that. Pass blocking is very much a finesse game where long arms and good footwork matter the most
  16. There's a reason lineman are tall. They have a longer reach to keep the defender from getting to them. Low man doesn't win, otherwise everyone would be 5 ft tall haha
  17. it better not be Dareus AND Glenn for these 2 guys
  18. we need a real WR not a practice squad developmental guy! and we don't need a safety, we could use another CB though
