Michael Vick was probably the best athlete I've ever seen on a football field. Built like a RB, speed of a WR, arm of a QB. Lamar Jackson is also a great athlete but not built like Vick. A little taller and a lot skinnier. But the comparison is there. He's that "type" of player. Yes, probably better than Tyrod. If the OC wants to run that kind of offense and they draft Lamar (i HIGHLY doubt it) then they should keep Tyrod for another year as it would be a smooth transition

he's Michael Vick. you can take that as a good thing or a bad thing. at one point Vick was the first $100 mil man and was seen as perhaps one of the best players in the NFL. Lamar can have some good seasons at the pro level if you suit your offense to his strengths. he's not going to lead you down the field in the 2 min drill like a surgical pocket passer can but he will have some big plays in the game to keep things exciting

This is true. As an Italian immigrant my grandpa couldn't go to the police because they were racist and corrupt. The mafia protected his rights as an American when others wouldn't. It was often a necessary evil

I would be ok with Rudolph, Washington, and Ateman! Ateman might end up being the better pro. He is a physical receiver that will win a lot of battles. Remember that name, a lot of people are overlooking him for some reason

Rosen has the potential to be one of the greats if he's willing to put in the work. He could be a franchise changing talent. No other QB in this draft is as ready to play. Or you could overpay for someone like Cousins who you know is a mediocre QB. I'd take my chances with Rosen if he could convince me this is what he wants for his life better competitor, better built, better runner, better attitude, perhaps a better leader. as far as throwing a football, he is not as good

I think they will do his measurements behind the scenes so it won't be such a big event as him parading out there in front of hundreds of media guys looking like a shrimp next to the other players. It will come out but they want it to be as low key as possible I'm guessing

apparently he checks a lot of boxes, although i have never seen him play. he could be a sleeper in the mid rounds

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
they will. if Broncos pass and taken Allen (like I think they will) then I think Jets take Mayfield at 6. lots of buzz that Saints want to try and trade up to get him so if he starts to fall to around the 10 range i think you will see teams trading up. no way he falls too far. only way he falls is if he plays in this game and looks bad
-
he's going to be a top 10 pick as it is. playing in this game and getting measured at 5'11" in front of all of the media gasping can only hurt his chances. his agent is trying to protect his draft stock
-
sign a QB, draft a QB. those will be the biggest moves we make. everything else is secondary

can't teach size. when you got it you got it. this could be the guy we need to plug up the middle and replace Dareus
-
good point. i think that's been the key to his success. he's fast but he's not a burner, just very smooth. his super power is his reach and his hands, both extremely necessary as a WR when you are only 5'11"

Daniel Jeremiah's Top 50 Prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft
K D replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
DT and LB - I think there will be a lot of value available at those positions when we pick, especially if teams go QB crazy early on and those guys get pushed down the draft board. Vea, Payne, or Hurst...at least one of them should be available at 21 and they are all day 1 starters in the NFL. I know the Bills are high on Smith the MLB from Georgia but he is undersized for the position in the NFL and could have a hard time taking on OL and plugging holes to stop the run. Evans has more ideal size for the position. Assuming the Bills don't trade up I think we can get 2 very good starters at 21 and 22 -
Par for the course for Mayfield. He makes a lot of bad moves which we will probably look back on and say yea that was a red flag we should have known better. If I'm the GM of a team I'm not putting my future in his hands
-
i think a lot of his fumbles were in the pocket because he drops his arm instead of keeping the ball high. it's going to be a real problem at the next level. edge rushers bending the corner know to reach for the ball in those situations
-
James Washington comes in at pretty much exactly what I thought. 5'10 7/8" and 210 pounds. he just looks like a RB and now we have the measurements that prove what my eyes saw. he had been listed as 6'1". that will hurt his draft stock a little and he could fall to us in the 20's. he's still a very good WR and has long arms and big hands. probably similar in size to Tyrod
-
i'm sure his wife agrees with this assessment if you know what i mean no because he played down south. every game was probably perfect weather. never played in the snow and i wonder if he has ever seen snow. there are only 4 listed less than 9" because you need large hands to grip the ball and success at the QB position is a direct correlation with above avg hand size

TRUST. THE. QB. PROCESS. if one of the guys they like slips i just hope they have a plan in place to trade up just in case. but i think there are too many desperate teams that pick ahead of them that will do what they need to do to get a guy. Broncos, Jets, Cardinals are all more desperate than we are and Browns and Giants would be silly to not take the top 2 guys
