Is the new stadium location one that has been discussed in the media as a possibility or is this a completely new location and how did they determine this would be the best spot? There were several studies done and that info has been reported so I am curious if they picked one of those or did their own thing

I like McDermotts drive and determination, but if we are relying on him to be the brains of the operation then we are in big trouble. He comes off like a dumb jock that has watched too many Rocky movies. That's fine for a football coach but don't expect him to make franchise changing decisions like these. If they got rid of Glenn and a bunch of nobodies we would have had an extra 3rd and 4th. It's an absolute no brainer. If they got rid of Tyrod at the beginning of the year we might have had a 3rd or 4th for him too who knows. At that point we would have had enough ammo to trade up to the top of the draft and get Josh Rosen and then sign Bradford or another vet and your QB situation is fixed. Now we get nothing for these nobody players.

Terry must like downtown. He is buying up all of the properties around the arena and developing them. If he's going to do all that and then not build the Bills stadium near that would make no sense. I think ideally the stadium will be in that general vicinity. I have no sources on that other than my own common sense. If they got rid of those Perry street projects and put the stadium on the water there between Louisiana and Southpark, that would just make sense geographically. Traffic is the problem but I thought if they incorporated the trolley somehow that might help. I just think if they could make it work and that whole area became like a Wrigleyville that would be a really big boost for the city and add a lot of development in areas that otherwise might remain neglected

Yes that would make sense. A lot of people including the OP saying that it won't even be in Buffalo and some are eluding to Genesee county which makes zero sense. If it's not going to be downtown then put it on the east side and build that area into something useful instead of the squalor that it's in But it should definitely be in the city of Buffalo. If not then I think they are making a big mistake and it will be a giant missed opportunity

it would be completely idiotic to build a stadium in the middle of nowhere. you think they would really do it outside of Erie county like some are suggesting? that's tax dollars the area wouldn't get. Buffalo real estate is booming and a stadium downtown or on the east side of the city would continue that development and do a lot of good for the city

sounds spot on to me. i am absolutely shocked they did not make the necessary moves to get the comp pick knowing full well they will have to trade up to get a QB. that extra 3rd would have helped tremendously. that really really hurt us and for what? Holmes doesn't even play and Ducasse is a bum. Taylor will be traded if they can get anything in return and Glenn has been on the table to trade this whole time. i think Bills want to add a veteran AND draft a QB with hopes that the vet can play next year and then mentor the kid. all of this sounds believable. now in regards to the stadium...can you please PM me the location so i can buy up some property dedicated to keeping the tailgating traditions alive?
