  1. I just crunched the numbers and my analysis shows that Bill Polian is old #analytics
  2. I can't, I'm all in on Rosen. I will settle for 1 of the top 4 if they have evaluated and feel like that is their franchise QB. I will absolutely not accept sitting back and doing nothing. I've been waiting 20 yrs for a QB. I can't wait any longer.
  3. If they trade up and don't get a QB I might be done with this team. I would at the very least take a 2-3 yr break until we get a GM that knows what he's doing
  4. In 3 years we will have all of the pieces you are complaining about. It's a PROCESS. You don't get those pieces first because the rookie QB has to sit for a bit then struggle until they figure things out. By season 2 or 3 is when they start looking the part. So after 3 years all of the pieces you got before getting a QB are moving on in free agency.
  5. If you guys want to shut me up then pray they get Rosen. Otherwise it's going to be me saying I told you so for the next decade
  6. Agreed. for 2018 sounds like they will be focused on running the ball
  7. a tale of 2 cities i was at the home opener and i was at the Saints game. can't believe that was the same team
  8. did we get a QB yet? i've been saying the same thing every draft for the past decade. search my posts in the archive
  9. we are always a .500 team and the common link is that we haven't had a QB. get a QB
  10. ill trade blows with him you guys got my back right?
  11. No they already handed out the comp picks
  12. No wonder he just stood there. I'm not a lip reader but it looks like he's saying "nice hit Gronk"
  13. At least 2 if not 3 are as good or better than those guys. Who are Wentz and Goff? They were nobodies. Wentz was at North Dakota State for a reason. Goff was a much better prospect but certainly didn't set college football on fire and had a losing record. Rosen was the top QB coming out of High School. Darnold was up there but he only started at USC because Rosen decided to go to UCLA. Both were much better prospects and much better college players. And Allen and Mayfield might even end up being better too. Both have intangibles that none of the others possess. This is not a EJ Manuel year where it's like well we need a QB let's just get someone. This is the best QB draft in the past decade
  14. they saw what Gaines was going to make and didn't think he was worth it. so they offered that to Davis instead, who has at least done something in this league to earn it. plus he provides veteran leadership. he's a McBeane type guy in the community and he has been around the game. good role model for Tre White to learn from
  15. There's only 4 real deal good QB's, which is more than most years, but they will be gone in the top 10. People could make a case for any of the 4. I have my own bias but I honestly wouldn't mind if they took any of the 4. At least they are making QB a priority and not sitting back and waiting. I'm done with Tyrod, I don't want a taller Tyrod with Jackson. Their strengths and weaknesses are the same. Maybe he's slightly better or maybe he's slightly worse. I wouldn't be happy with either outcome. With Rudolph, him being good is so unlikely that it's not worth a 1st round pick for me. He is in a bs offense playing against teams with no defense. He basically just lobs the ball to wide open receivers. Nothing I have seen on film translates to the NFL game. That brings us to the top 4. Of them, I think Mayfield has more of a chance than I have given him credit for in the past but he has too much bust potential. Only a couple of players his size have made it and that's super risky. Allen too, I wouldn't trade up very far for him, unless there was a way to get him by only giving up the 2x #1's. Darnold, I'm not sold on his mechanics but he is a football player and he will find a way to be on the field and make things happen. I would trade up for Rosen in a heartbeat and there's a chance he is available at 5 or 6 so if it only costs the 2x 1sts and a player like Glenn then it's absolutely a no brainer for me. When he's in the pro bowl in 2 yrs nobody is going to care what we gave up to get him. So hopefully the order of the top 4 goes like that. Let the other teams take the riskier players and if so then we have to move up and get someone.
  16. i'm sure Eagles and Rams are feeling dumb for moving up for Wentz and Goff. They should have stayed where they were and just picked whoever was available
  17. he's probably the #1 pick, he would only screw it up throwing against guys with stronger arms and better mechanics
