  1. maybe but I think everyone knows you are looking for a QB and so the price goes up and you only have like 2 min to make the deal so there's not a lot of time to negotiate
  2. in the example of Mason Rudolph, what will make him fail is that he cannot drop back from under center. he looked like a fish out of water trying to do it at the combine. he would have to be like Tebow where you put him in an offense designed for him to succeed and it wouldn't be a pro style offense. when you don't have experience under center, reading defenses, negotiating the pocket, delivering a pass on time, those types of things are REALLY hard to learn at this point after you have 10-15 yrs of experience never doing those things. it's like a completely different game at that point. the NFL game is totally different in that the windows are so much smaller and things like proper footwork and timing are absolutely crucial. if you aren't on time and your body isn't in the right position to make the throw, you aren't going to be successful. then you get into the more advanced things like looking off the safeties, audibles, manipulating defenses, that would be like trying to speak in french to someone who has never had to do it.
  3. they restructured his deal to where they have an out after this year. they will give him 1 more chance but i think they are thinking QB if one happens to fall to them
  4. or they could trade to 6 and then trade to 4 and then trade to 2 and then trade to 1 and then trade back to 2
  5. there's no way we sit back and wait until 12. Miami is there at 11. there's also wild card teams like the Cardinals or Ravens who could try and trade up. i think if Allen is there at 6 we would be calling everyone to try and trade up (assuming we don't trade up before the draft). I don't envision any scenarios where we end up having 2 first round picks this year
  6. wow look how quickly Rams and Eagles have taken over the NFL. trade up and get that QB Beane!!!!!
  7. i think he checks the boxes of what Beane is looking for. he is his Cam Newton. I think they liked Darnold but he is gone and next big bodied athletic guy is Allen. I like Rosen but something tells me they like Allen's upside and durability
  8. i think it will be Josh Allen no matter how it shakes out. i think that has been Beane's target all along
  9. yea but then I wouldn't have any good stories
  10. I have a scar on my hand because I got drunk and got locked out of my house and tried to break in through the window and it broke and a piece of glass fell on my hand. i wrapped my shirt around it and passed out. luckily i didn't die but because of that i am now an amazing person. look at how many likes I have on the Bills message board!
  11. there is a higher liklihood that Mayfield will bust for being too short than if Rosen busts from injuries. what QB's have been really good but didn't work out because of injuries? not many also, congratulations on winning the Russian election. i hope you don't execute your opponent
  12. this bums me out. i thought we would bring him back on a cheap deal
  13. and so did Steve DeBerg but doesn't mean he was any good
  14. I think... 1. Darnold 2. Chubb 3. Rosen 4. Barkley 5. Mayfield we would be left with Allen which wouldn't be too bad. if you watch the combine film and the 2nd half of the senior bowl you will like what you see
  15. it's too bad we couldn't have gotten in with them on this deal. Bills get 2nd overall pick Bucs get JPP, Bills 12th, 2019 2nd Giants get Bucs 7th, 69, Bills 22, 53, 65 I don't even know if something like that even makes any sense, but I'm just saying too bad we couldn't have worked something out where we end up with 2 and Giants only have to move down to the Bucs' pick 7
  16. yea but then you would have to sit in the car with him for 6 hrs while he talks about himself. "it's all about you Jerry!"
  17. Denver is definitely taking a QB. Jets would take Rosen in that situation imo. We would have to trade up to get Mayfield or Allen (whoever is left) so either way we aren't staying at 12
  18. for all we know they goofed up and he would have been a 1st round pick otherwise
  19. i don't think that would stop them from doing what is best for their team. but that would surely be a slap in the face to Beane who worked side by side with Gettleman for all of those years. at the end of the day you have to do what's best for your team but I think they will give us every opportunity possible to try and trade up before the Jets can again
  20. if the McBeane's are smart, and we think they are, they are looking at the QB depth chart and saying we need a QB that can come in day 1 and be ready to go. of these guys, that would be Josh Rosen. they need to get to 2 to get him. it's the right thing to do given our situation
  21. i'll go out on a limb here and say this will have no impact on whether or not he is a good QB
  22. Hughes or Lawson could be an immediate fit and they both have all of their fingers
  23. i know a lot of people are now saying Chubb is their target but how about Marcus Davenport who should be available at 12? stand up DE who would fit a 3-4
  24. Giants have traded JPP to the Bucs for a 3rd round pick. that might mean they are staying at 2 and grabbing Chubb or trading out and grabbing Davenport
  25. at first i was upset by this news, but now that i am examining the details this might be a good thing. they only received a 3rd so that's not enough to disuade them from trading back and collecting more picks. also, by trading him they are saying we are going to get the right pieces to fit our 3-4 defense in the draft so they will want more picks to be able to do so. at the very least, it says that they checked out the QB's and after doing so they have decided that it will not be high on their priority list so they will be addressing other areas of need and this is the first move in doing so.
