  1. It is what it is. You need a QB to win in the NFL. Our situation is that we pick at 12 and the best ones are available top 5. Perhaps if they had the foresight to trade Tyrod before the season to ensure a top 5 pick in the best QB draft of the decade then they wouldn't have to give up so many of their picks to get their guy but that is the situation they put themselves in so I would assume have a plan to deal with it. It would seem their plan is to use the extra picks they have accumulated to trade up. Those picks were never intended to be used on anything else if that is indeed the plan. They are just extra draft capital for the sole purpose of getting a QB. They said they wanted to win now AND build for the future. Those are conflicting goals. I'm into working out and that's like when people say I want to lose weight AND get big muscles. You can't do both at the same time. If this is all part of Beane's "process" then he must have a plan in place to get his QB plus fix the holes on the roster. If he doesn't then I think we can agree that he's not very good at his job. Let's see what his plan is.
  2. Rookie QB is 3 yr process. Year 1 is learning, making mistakes, fighting through advertisity. Year 2 is progress and you watch them become a franchise type QB. Year 3 is when you are a contender. The exact plan the Rams are following now. They had no issues trading away their entire draft for Goff and now they are right there with Minnesota as the super bowl favorites from the NFC.
  3. would Conner McGregor trade up to #2? that's the real question
  4. Yea I was hoping he would play around here. That would be pretty cool
  5. I see. I think because you can't trade up in this I think the Bills would have to take a QB at 12 because the next 2 could be gone by 22. I think Cards at 15 are a team that will get a guy and then who knows maybe Ravens, you never know. I'm not a Jackson fan but I think he's more of a sure thing than Rudolph so the pick is ok by me
  6. this is incorrect thinking. you don't gamble with QB, you pick one and then you get him. too important of a position. if they like Rudolph then they take him at 12. who knows who likes who and who is going to trade up to get their guy. too many if's
  7. haha all top QB's gone, 2 to our AFC East rivals, and 1 pick before us they take Rosen? i don't know if they would be around to make the pick, they should all be fired on the spot
  8. the workout schedule for these guys is pretty nuts. fly here, go out to dinner and get slammed with questions, get no sleep, wake up early and have an intense workout, immediately head to the airport and head to the next city and do it all over again. they need time to rest and recuperate.
  9. Yes I think Rosen already may have. I think those are players that have a shot at falling out of the top 5. I think Darnold and Allen are the 2 top guys right now so when I see them visiting I will get excited
  10. Better than Rosen? No. Maybe one of the others. The only thing you can knock Rosen for is his injuries and personality, and even then you are reaching. I've watched QB's my whole life and Rosen is far more advanced as a passer than anyone in probably the past 5 drafts
  11. When I see names like that it makes me think they don't believe they can trade up. When we see Darnold or Allen visiting then get excited because then they know they have a shot at them in the top 5
  12. I'm talking about in general. I take his stats with a grain of salt. People praise him for his stats in the same way they knock Allen for his. Need to go a step farther and examine the tape for the true story
  13. He's not good. Watch the tape. Looks like high school throwing lob passes to wide open receivers. No NFL type throws where you plant and let it rip on an out route. Then watch the combine film and laugh at how a 22 yr old QB doesn't know how to do a 3 step drop. All sorts of awkward and out of whack. Rosen is talking to Aaron Rodgers about how to build timing into the top of his drop depending on coverages and Mason is talking to a pee wee coach about how to drop back from center at all.
  14. His stats are a bit inflated. Lots of bubble screens and quick throws
  15. There will be 5 in the top half of round 1 so sure, there will probably 1 more in the 2nd half. First time 4 will go in the top 10 in history and those 4 could even go in the top 5 if the Bills trade up
  16. With the 6th pick in the TSW mock draft, the Indianapolis Colts select: Quenton Nelson, G, Notre Dame @CajunBillsBacker Tampa Bay is now on the clock
  17. Since it's a QB that is not regarded as one of the top 2 guys it makes sense. Giants aren't picking Mayfield and if you have a good idea that Jets like Allen then you know you can get your guy at 4. It's a risky move for sure but if they do their due diligence and they like Mayfield or Lamar Jackson the best then it is realistic that they could chance it and wait til 4 to get them
  18. Beckham wants $100 million contract or he won't even step on the field and wants to be in a big market. We will trade all that and get nothing out of it. This is like the 3rd topic on this
  19. Ah yes, the world famous Rumble Ponies. I'll admit I hope he gets to AAA. I wonder who the Mets affiliate is
