  1. who has recently? Washington? because they still did pretty well by having Cousins as a backup
  2. i don't think any of the top 5 teams wants to fall back to 12, if they even want to trade at all. move up to 7 now if that helps get a deal done. you can't be nonchalant with the QB position. sitting back and waiting to see how it falls is not a viable option
  3. Tasker: "he's taller than I thought" Says he introduced himself and said good luck. Mayfield had no idea who he was and said ok thanks.
  4. I hope Beane sees this. If he thinks he safe hanging back and seeing how things go then he is wrong. There are other teams that want to move up and they will be aggressive
  5. Tasker says he bumped into Baker Mayfield at the facility. "There's stuff going on and it's going to be a lot of fun to talk about"
  6. Donald Jones out, going to pursue opportunities closer to home in NJ as previously reported. Tasker takes over
  7. With the 67th pick in the TSW Mock Draft, The Indianapolis Colts select: Jamarco Jones - OT, THE Ohio State University Colts continue to bolster their line Virgil, you are up!
  8. This could be good or it could be bad. In this scenario, if Giants then take Darnold then the only top qb left will be Rosen and he could go at 5 to the Broncos if nobody wants to trade with us. Or it could be good if Giants don't take a QB as then one of the top 2 QB's will be available for us. Or it could be really good if the Giants and Broncos pass on QB's. Then we would have our choice. Yes, I realize some people will say "those aren't the top 2 guys, I like Mayfield." Well the fact remains that these are ranked by most people as the 2 top QB's and they don't have the question marks that Mayfield (size) and Allen (accuracy) have. Very interesting. Can't wait to see how this all plays out!
  9. 1. how many MORE trades or how many trades total? there's already been a few trades already 2. 5 3. Rosen 4. Yes 5. Cleveland 6. Darnold 7. Chubb 8. Mayfield 9. Rosen 10. Allen 11. Same answer as 10 12. Allen 13. same answer as 6 14. Griffin (never was a 1st rounder but for some reason is going) 15. Chad Kelly, oh wait...
  10. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAH wait...let me catch my breath... hAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
  11. Gotta fill all of those holes! Then next year have those other holes to fill too.
  12. correct. in his offense, the passes are basically "long handoffs" where you get the ball instantly to the playmaker. it's 1 read and throw and they are usually wide open because well it's the big 12 and nobody plays defense. those plays will definitely pad your stats. add to that where you have 2 receivers who are going in the top 2 rounds of the NFL draft and against that coverage you can basically just throw the ball up for grabs and they will come down with it, which is what many of his passes are. Rudolph is at best a backup in this league
  13. ah yes, football powerhouse Texas A&M Commerce. do you think when he meets chicks he tells them he's the QB at Texas A&M and then they get really impressed then under his breath he says "Commerce" and they are like what did you say and he's like ohhh nothing
  14. Russ is running around saying "don't let him leave the building!" i would love to be a fly on the wall and see what the heck they are talking about
  15. we need a QB of our defense. if we still have a pick 22 then we should get the best MLB on the board
  16. that is only directed to the whiny ones that have been posting nonsense threads for the past few months with nothing to back up their argument other than "that's too much to give up." i am fine listening to informed opinions on the matter. in fact i enjoy having meaningful discussions with people with alternate points of view. it is one of my favorite things to do. i think people would consider me to be very fair and respectful in those types of situations
  17. Rosen was here yesterday, Mayfield here as we speak. hopefully we see some trade rumors heating up by tomorrow. ideally we would get to 2 and get our guy but i don't think Giants want to move out. I think they have have become smitten with Barkley and will want to stay at 2 to make sure they get him before Cleveland. that leaves Cleveland at 4 but they have so many picks in this draft I think they would just take Chubb and be happy with that. Broncos at 5 maybe? if Rosen is still there i think Elway wouldn't be able to help himself. he's a QB connoisseur and he knows a good QB when he sees one. Elway was arrogant coming out as well. that will not bother him in the least. Indy at 6? they didnt' want to trade with Buffalo before because they wanted to stay in the top 10 so why would they now? i keep going back to Tampa at 7. i made a thread a while back about it and apparently there have been some discussions. i think that is potentially as high as we can get unfortunately. the good news for all of the whiny babies that don't want to trade away the entire draft is that we can get from 12 to 7 by just giving up one of our 2nd round picks. so we would still have 22, 56, 65, etc
  18. a 5th round backup QB is getting a raw deal? i didn't know we owed him anything. are you related to him or something? who cares? welcome to the real world where things often don't go your way. if he's not good enough to beat out a rookie QB then he doesn't deserve to play. best player plays on this team. news flash but most highly drafted QB's step into way worse situations than ours. we made the playoffs last year. if you are a top QB you are usually going to a team that just finished with 0-3 wins. i think they will be just fine. have you seen New England's offensive line? you think theirs is that much better than ours? sounds like you need a nap and a blanky. lots of whining going on in this thread
  19. http://buffalonews.com/2018/03/27/play-nfl-draft-pick-trade-simulator-calculator-darnold-rosen-allen-value-jimmy-johnson-chart/ the only problem being is if Cleveland is not interested in dropping that far down. going from 4 when you know you are getting either Chubb or Barkley to 12 where most of the top guys are already gone since no more teams after 5 will be drafting QB's is a big drop. sources online have stated that the Bills have already made similar offers to the Giants and were turned down multiple times. Giants not interested in falling that far and Browns might not be interested either. apparently the deal with Colts was never reached because they were trying to figure out if they were ok with dropping that far and then meanwhile the Jets came in and they only had to go down 3 spots to do a deal with them so that was preferrable.
  20. Jets paid 27% over the normal price. Using the Jimmy Johnson point system, the 4th pick is worth 1800 points. The 12, 22, 65 is worth 2,245. It's almost EXACTLY the same deal. That is the exact trade value it would take to get it done
  21. Rosen at 4. Whatever it takes. I would assume 12 and 22 would get it done. Give them their 3rd back as well if they are being babies. DO IT!!!
  22. Yea I saw this and thought it was complete garbage so I didn't post it. "Your family supports you." Wow groundbreaking stuff there. Any other "hot takes" lady?
  23. I feel like he's having a temper tantrum. He just wants someone to want him. If a team came offering a multi year deal he would un-retire so fast. Maybe we can find a team interested and get some trade compensation for him
  24. Same way we knew with Kelly. Franchise QB, face of the franchise for many years, no doubt about it
