also, for those in the "we need to get higher to get OUR QB" camp, this just made the value of 2 and 4 cheaper. if you tell the Giants that the Broncos are willing to do the trade for 12 and 22 straight up then it doesn't really make much sense to trade 12, 22, 53, 56, 65, next year's 1st to get only a few picks higher if you are happy with the talent that will be available at 5

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS i'd rather trade here than 2. if their choices at 2 are Darnold or Allen i'd rather they sit back and keep their picks and choose between Allen or Rosen at 5. there's no way Darnold is worth all of those extra picks over those 2 guys

I think teams would laugh at us for giving up all of those picks to get Darnold who is not better than Rosen or Mayfield. At this point I think we should try and get to pick 5 knowing we will get one of those guys and keep some of our picks

other teams know we want to move up and they know we can beat anyone elses offer. if Miami says we want to trade up I would call Buffalo and say can you beat it? knowing that they will

i suppose it could happen but i think at this point it's extremely unlikely unless one of those picks is from us trading up. i think Giants see an opportunity to either get the best position player in the draft or a lot of picks from us and Broncos would be stupid to take the 4th qb instead of the 2nd best player in the draft (or maybe someone they have as #1 in the draft if Giants take someone they weren't high on anyhow)
