Daniel Jones isn't good. It is what it is. He was due a contract and it was either pay him or rebuild. Lamar is 1 injury away from being Teddy Bridgewater. He's good because he can run but once he can't anymore he will just be a below average passer. It's only a matter of time. Rodgers will implode if the Jets aren't good. Their OL isn't great, it could go very poorly. Carr will probably be the best of the bunch. He's above average and that division is garbage. 9 wins could get them into the playoffs which is good enough for that team to stay happy.

Giants and Barkley do not reach an agreement on a new contract
K D replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Salary cap and slotting have nothing to do with it. A RB's value is low because there's an unlimited supply of them and there is a limited lifespan. Similar to production type businesses, RB's would be considered consumables. They are only good for so long and then they need to be replaced. If you spent all of your resources on a consumable you would be out of business pretty fast. Teams buy RB's in bulk. Every team has like 4-5 of them ready to go at all times. The usefulness of a RB drops off after that 1st contract. And the use case for a RB is increasingly more and more limited as the league has evolved to a more pass oriented attack. It's not a high value position. *IF* a RB can prove their value (CMC instantly made the 49ers better and adds value as a pass catcher) then they will get paid accordingly. Barkley proved his value but also gets a knock due to his injury history. He only played 2 full seasons in 4 years. If his services were in such high demand you would see teams beating down the Giants door to try and trade for him but they are not. They know they can get 8/10 Barkley performance for 1/10 the price from a rookie. It's just good business. -

If the fry guy is making fries so good that's the reason people are coming there to eat then they will promote that guy. But the fry guy is an unskilled worker that can be replaced in 2 seconds with another unskilled worker and maybe for less money. You must not understand how the world works and I feel sorry for you. Please try again -
Right, you need to take a finance class. You don't know the difference between after taxes and before taxes. Don't worry, most people are bad with money. They purposely don't teach it in school because schools create employees. 99% of this board won't make in their entire life of working what these RB's make in 1 year. No matter what your job is, you are paid based on your value. If these RB's are so valuable as you say, then the team would have no choice but to pay them what they want. The fact is, they are not and can be easily replaced by a younger and hungrier runner for much cheaper.

You need to go back to school or take a finance class if you don't think you can survive on $15 mil before taxes lol

Josh Allen is the Greatest Glitch in Madden History
K D replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't give the real Josh any ideas. He might try that in an actual game -
Boo hoo, millionaires mad they are only making $10 mil per year instead of $15 mil. What a bunch of babies! If you don't like it get a new job, it's a free country. Oh wait, you can't make that much money in a "normal job"? I guess you have it pretty good then! Seriously this is absolutely embarrassing and more people need to call out this type of behavior. You get paid what your value is no matter what the job is. There's literally thousands of people that would be willing to take their spot if they don't like it. How many good college RB's never even get a shot at the NFL? We see it every preseason. Some no name player has an amazing few games then we never hear from them again. I'm sure they would be happy making 1/10th what these guys are complaining about. RB's are a dime a dozen. Chiefs just won the Super Bowl with a 7th rounder. It's not a position of value so you get paid what the market is.

All of these players online complaining about not paying RB's...SHADDUP! If they had value, they would get paid, simple as that. They never live up to the big contracts and they have a short shelf life. You can easily get one in the later rounds and pay them next to nothing. It makes no sense to give them huge deals. It's as dumb as the pay women athletes the same as men arguments. Why? Because you say so? That's not how the world works. If you prove your value, you get paid. If you don't, then you don't! -

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
K D replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Deals like this show such little foresight. Is Hopkins currently a HOF'er? I would say no. 1 Super Bowl and all of a sudden he is. Over the course of their life don't you think a HOF'er easily makes up the $ difference between signing with a good team and a bad team? Appearances, media deals, endorsements etc. Seems like a no brainer to me. We will never hear from Hopkins again now -

Best Bills player to wear every jersey number (0-50)
K D replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Enjoy your Pete Gogolak jersey. Oh wait, nobody in the world will ever buy one but meanwhile Hamlin has the #2 best selling jersey on the team and there's literally thousands of them? 🤔 I'm pretty sure the title said "which Bills jersey to buy for every number" but was then later edited. If not then maybe I'm crazy because that's how I read it for some reason when I originally posted -

Jaguars starting LT Cam Robinson gets only 4 games suspended for PEDs
K D replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
For 4 games *IF* caught you would be pretty stupid not to do PED's if you are a big dude with any shot of being pro. They don't test for it in high school or college then by the time you are a pro you pretty much know the testing window so you can blast and cruise. People think once you are off gear that you lose your muscle/strength and that's not true. You keep a lot of it if you continue to train. There's also a lot of stuff you can take that helps in recovery and healing that I'm sure a lot of these guys take immediately after the season and then stop before the testing window begins. They only test players April-Aug as far as I know. -

Seems like common sense to me. Who would have a problem with these laws? 🤔

They are on local TV. I haven't had cable for at least a decade.

SCOTUS strikes down Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan
K D replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Great news! I'm happily paying my student loans. I don't need the government to do anything except build roads and uphold the law. They knew this was going to fail the whole time, Biden even said so at his town hall. They passed the buck to try and make the Supreme Court look like the bad guys. Disgusting! Could you imagine if the government had the power to just nullify people's debts? People take out loans knowing full well they need to be paid back. If you are a moron then you it's your fault, nobody else's. My roommates gladly took out mountains of student debt knowing it was a low fixed rate and they would have their whole life to pay it back. One bought a motorcycle and another went on crazy spring break trips every year. The government expected me to reimburse them? Lol good one! -
I haven't watched ESPN in years. I see I haven't missed much 😄
