  1. It definitely does not and that's the problem. This rendering does not look as nice and the roof covers much less. I would have been excited if they just up and copied that stadium but this looks like they said we can't afford that give us something much cheaper
  2. With all of the "wind confusion" the rain won't know what to do!
  3. It was the biggest abuse in possibly the history of this country (not counting the ongoing abuse of welfare, medicare, rent assistance, other long term socialist programs) and not a lot of people are talking about it. I wasn't even talking about the obvious fraud committed by people overseas or by giving false info. Right off the bat that is probably 1/4 of it right there. You could Google the name of a company and get all the details you needed and put false phone number and address, it was really that easy. They were sending money first and asking questions later. Just a total trainwreck of a process from the start. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1279664 Surely you understand that I can't say how I know but I'd wager that 7 out of 10 cases I came across from actual companies were very very wealthy individuals that clearly did not have to sell their 3rd or 4th house to be able to keep payroll going. In fact they were buying more houses, cars, etc with the extra dough. It wasn't hard to inflate the numbers to maximize their payouts either. Popular belief was that the money had to be used on payroll only and that's not true, it was pretty much all operating expenses to keep the business running including rent, mortgage, utilities, operating costs, etc which were much easier to fudge the numbers on. The only people I know personally who needed the payroll money owned restaurants/bars and there were ways to cut hours temporarily and still accept the PPP because technically you weren't laying people off. They definitely didn't need the money and the salaries of those types of employees is already low because they work mostly for tips. Do you think they were making as much in tips with nobody going out during that time? Was their salary increased after getting the PPP money? Absolutely not. It didn't end up in the right hands. Basically it was a complete money grab and I personally know some wealthy folks who got even richer off of this. One guy we know made so much that he bought a 3 story condo with an elevator in FL, a speed boat, and a new Corvette. His income was never impacted because his business was deemed essential from the start but that didn't stop him from collecting millions in PPP! True story.
  4. Although the outcomes of the past 2 seasons are similar to 88-89, the Bills were never considered the overwhelming favorite going into the 1990 season like we are this year. The 49ers seemed unstoppable and the Giants had a great defense. And then there was a bunch of AFC teams in the mix. When the Bills beat the Giants in the regular season it was like ok maybe this team is for real. Then they demolished the Raiders in the AFC championship and meanwhile the Giants knocked off SF but were down to their backup QB and suddenly the Bills are the favorite to win the whole thing. The Bills went into 2022 as the best team in football and haven't done anything to dispute that. It's either them or KC is what it feels like, and on paper the Bills are a better overall complete team. That game will probably be the actual Super Bowl. Josh Allen is top 2 QB in the league and very likely the MVP. Jim Kelly was good but never that good. Montana, Marino, Elway, Simms, Esiason, Moon, Aikman... lots of HOF QB's during that era. Bills also had a top 3 defensive player in Bruce and a top 3 RB in Thurman. Was Kelly a top 5 QB? Maybe, maybe not. Definitely never top 2 like Josh. This year's team is very well balanced in that they have a very good offense with 2 really good HOF type players, a defense with a 1 maybe 2 HOF type players, and then a bunch of very solid guys that do their job. The 90's teams were never balanced in that they had a quick scoring 2 min drill type offense, and then a tired defense that was usually on the field for much of the game so they were never a dominant group. So not a lot of similarities at all. The 90's Bills went to 4 straight super bowls and were never the overwhelming favorite to win at any point except for the week before the first one. This year's Bills team might be the best Bills team ever but that's why they play the games.
  5. Anyone who is not nervous must be new here... Welcome! Please research the 4 Falls of Buffalo, the Music City Miracle, skate in the crease, and 13 seconds, among others. Surgeon general's warning: being a Bills fan is bad for your health.
  6. I would suggest the majority was not. It was highly abused, which has been well documented. I know from experience. A lot of already rich people who didn't need it got even richer. And then to make it so it didn't need to be repaid was the kicker. Like most socialist programs, folks are operating under the guise that people will do the right things in life when in reality people will do the opposite when given the opportunity to cheat the system. The thinking is it's a free handout so even though that person doesn't need it they might as well take it because everyone else is.
  7. Does anybody really think the Pegulas, who own the Buffalo Sabres and half of the waterfront, would pack up the Buffalo Bills (best team and best fanbase in the NFL) for Austin, TX if the taxpayers don't pay for the majority of the stadium? That is just absurd. The Pegulas net worth went up as much as the stadium would cost just this past year. Now bring on the renderings!
  8. Genius Belichick currently brainstorming ways to work that move into the offense so he can take credit for it
  9. Tough crowd. I think the Titans stadium looks nice and blends into the city nicely. Having said that I fully expect to hate ours to death
  10. And then Eichel sold it to Tage Thompson at a huge discount after it sat on the market for a while! Those downtown condos aren't that great, I'm surprised they sell for so much. You can buy a sprawling estate for that price but I guess if you are a young guy you don't want to be bothered with the maintenance. Glad to hear Shakir has moved on, I think he can set up more permanent roots now that he is expected to be a piece of the puzzle going forward. Is he closer to the stadium now? I always thought Cheektowaga was probably too far away with traffic but honestly anything in Buffalo area is like 15-20 min away.
  11. Khalil Shakir was staying at the home2suites hotel in Cheektowaga after getting drafted. Not sure if he still is but if so I'd guess other younger players or guys that aren't sure how long they will stick around might stay there too during the season and then go back home the day the season ends. Guys that own houses (Beane, McDermott, Josh, Von, Dawson, Tre) live in Orchard Park. I've heard of some guys living in Hamburg or Aurora as well.
  12. Up next they have the Jets so it's too bad they just lost their best player because I was excited to see NE cement themselves as the worst team in the AFC East. I still think Jets have a good chance but probably a low scoring, close game
  13. I was excited to wake up today to doom and gloom but all of my Pats fan friends are saying this was just 1 bad game, Pats still have the best coach in football (lol), and are a 10 win/playoff team (lolol). They said they will have a great game plan for the Bills cooked up and are expecting to split with us and if so the division is still in play 😅 As I posted last night, I think NE just made a great case to being the worst team in football. I had the Bears up there and they just blew the doors off them soooo....
  14. Are the Patriots the worst team in the NFL? The Bears who couldn't get past midfield in most other games could have scored 40 but they called off the dogs at the end. How many points will the Bills put up? I have to imagine if we are 12 point favorites vs Aaron Rodgers then we will be 20 point favorites vs Bailey Zappe
  15. I hope those fans that bought a Zappe jersey kept their receipt
  16. End of the Jones and Zappe era both in one night? Belichick is a genius to have both collapses on the same night
  17. I heard Mac Jones was the baby goat. If he doesn't play another down does he go straight into the HOF or is there a waiting period?
  18. Jets gonna Jet. They are so excited to possibly finish .500. What a miserable existence
  19. This soy boy needs to eat a steak and man up. Clearly his testosterone levels have plummeted from years of kale and botox
  20. And Jalen Hurts is like Tua minus the concussions. Those guys just do play-action and roll outs. Neither can do a 5 step drop and hit a guy in a tight window. I wouldn't be holding either as some kind of level of competent QB play
  21. There's a video of Bengals RB Joe Mixon full on punching a girl right in the face and nobody even mentions that anymore. Saints RB Alvin Kamara still has to go to trial for beating the crap out of a guy in an elevator. People seem to have a short memory when it comes to that stuff but the Bills seem to be a lot more conscious than other teams
  22. Time for Matty Ice to be put on ice. The old guard (Brady, Rodgers, Ryan, Wilson, Stafford) have all had quite a difficult season so far. NFL moving in a different direction it seems where it's more of a young man's game and the older guys who want to hang in the pocket are a thing of the past
  23. Zack Moss and James Cook are our only RB's next year at this moment. If there was a RB they thought was better than Motor I'm sure they would try and make a deal. Would they re-sign Motor in the off-season? Probably not unless he took a team friendly deal and they had no other options for RB1
  24. Clearly the real Sammy Watkins was replaced with a reptilian clone from below the flat Earth. The truth is out there 👽
