  1. Even this would be better than what they proposed. KC should not come out ahead in any situation. It should be either or. Either KC gets the bye or they get home field advantage and Bills get whatever they don't choose. And any game between Buffalo and Cinci is at a neutral site (assuming KC wins Sunday and eliminates them from having had a chance at the 1 seed). So to summarize: *KC would get bye *Bills get home field *Cinci would be eliminated from 1 seed contention by KC win anyhow but any game between them and Buffalo should be neutral site Simple and fair
  2. So your argument is there were teams not trying to win? I'm sure the NFL would love to hear that. Not a valid excuse. Adding an extra team is good for everyone and takes away the bye which nobody rightfully earned
  3. Right, the Chiefs were not ahead of us. And now they are. They are the only ones that win in this scenario and it's punishing the 2 teams that had to go through this terrible ordeal. Just add 1 playoff team, I'm not sure why that would not be the ideal solution
  4. And Bills went into the game as the #1 seed and left as the #2 seed. So this hurts Cinci and Buffalo and KC comes out on top. The correct thing to do is add an 8th playoff team and nobody gets a bye.
  5. This is not a good solution. So Buffalo and Cinci win in the wildcard and then Cinci has to come to Buffalo? Not fair to them. And KC, who lost to Buf and Cinci, is the #1 seed and gets a bye? Dumb The correct solution was 8 teams, no byes, any games between KC-Buf-Cin takes place at neutral site. Simple. None of this if this happens then this or that. Too confusing and not fair
  6. I like adding an 8th team and no byes. If Chiefs win Sunday then Bengals had no shot at the 1 seed so it's irrelevant. If Chiefs and Bills win and meet in the AFCC then it's neutral site. Simple
  7. So the options for tomorrow are: 1. Neutral site AFCC 2. #1 seed picks bye or home field 3. Add 8th playoff team and no byes 4. Do nothing and it is what it is
  8. Great work and thank God they acted so swiftly. Surprising that the assistant trainer was the one to do it given the lead medical doctor was there as well as other trainers and doctors from both teams. I'm not sure the protocol or how he ended up in charge but just an interesting observation and it seemingly it all worked out well in the end
  9. Buffalo is a rustbelt city, same as Cleveland and Pittsburgh and Detroit (Erie, Akron, Rochester too among others). Once great cities where industry has left and they are now being reborn as something funky almost hip one could say. I wouldn't say Midwest, that makes me think of rural Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska.
  10. Tre was absolutely exposed by the Bengals. They were going as far as to pick on him. Now I'm wondering if teams weren't going after him previously based solely on his reputation. I don't think he will get challenged by anyone the Pats have on Sunday but it's something to keep an eye on in the playoffs
  11. The better solution is...Dolphins lose (very likely with 3rd string QB) and Pittsburgh wins and then we play the Steelers which is equivalent to a bye
  12. If Bills lose and Cinci wins then Bills would be 3 seed
  13. Miami is most likely starting their 3rd string QB on Sunday so hopefully they lose. That would put either NE or Pitt in. Whoever plays those teams is almost equivalent to a bye. And if it's the Ravens without Lamar or a gimpy Lamar then that's not too bad either. So either way Bills and Bengals should be ok.
  14. Bills should rest starters. It's been a long week. NE wins and then we play them for real next week which is the equivalent to a bye week Edit - Nope I'm wrong that would make Bengals #2 seed
  15. That wouldn't be fair to the last wildcard team. Even though they have nearly 0% chance of going to the super bowl, that was us a few years ago and we were just happy to be there with an opportunity to play more football
  16. If it's Bills vs Bengals in divisional round that should be neutral site too imo. We definitely don't want to go back there and we didn't earn the home field over them either
  17. And the Chiefs, who lost to both the Bills and Bengals, deserve it because a Bills player died on the field and had to be revived? Nobody wanted this. I personally think the best solution is give Chiefs 1 seed and have neutral site championship game
  18. Ehh Payton and Brady with Hill and Waddle would be pretty scary. Tua almost beat us twice throwing slants and lobs with more hang time than punts. A competent QB would do well with those weapons
  19. They must think they are getting the Payton and Brady combo they tried to get last year and lost a draft pick over
  20. Do the Bills bring up Cole Beasley for his 3rd and final call up? Or do they save him in case they have to play Cinci week 19?
  21. Cam Lewis is the 3rd safety apparently. Marlowe hasn't even dressed for a game since getting traded for as far as I know
