This is why they have to do it. End of last year defenses were just double teaming Diggs which is why they stopped going to him and he would get upset. They need a good #1B option

I personally would do it. The Bills need to go all in and get their players excited about the season. You would be hurting your team 3-4 years in the future but by then they will be out of their window anyhow with players like Poyer, Hyde, Von, maybe Diggs retiring or moving on. They will need to reset by then anyhow

It seems unlikely they would do this after already signing Harty and Sherfield. They also still have Shakir. If they got Hopkins it was because they already decided not to extend Gabe Davis so at that point why not trade him? Giants would probably give us a solid draft pick for him. Sherfield would be the #3 guy then which makes sense, same role as Miami. And to the people saying it would cost the Bills a high draft pick for Hopkins... absolutely not. It would likely be like a 3rd or 4th rounder which they could get for Gabe as he is on his rookie deal
