I don't care if the game take too long, just as long as they are called correctly. Ed Hoculi, in my opinion, has one of the best run crews in the NFL.
NFL officials are held accountable for every play in every game. Each game is reviewed by league officals and data is supplied to the crew to help them get better. Playoff and Super Bowl assignments are based from those weekly reviews.
When I was at RIT there was a photo of the skyline at dusk from an elevated viewpoint just after a storm had passed through. I wish I had that. I have a skyline photo of every city that I lived in up in my office except Rochester.
RW: Hey Mike, this is Ralph. I have an idea for a play on the next 3rd and 8.
MM: Hello? [scratch, ruffle, screetch] Is someone there? [eeerck, zzzipttz, mmpth] We have a bad connection. Drop off this line.
My point exactly. Just think of how much money the NFL could have made for charity (Katrina, NFL YET, United Way, NFL Alumni, anything) from picture reprints of that photo op. Potentially once in a lifetime chance.
Why does money seem to always get in the way? Couldn't these two players do it "for the game"? Jeez, $1000 fee, 2 1st class air tickets, hotel, car, 2 tickets to the game, plus other perks, plus other $$$ making opp'ty seem like enough.
One would think that you could put a proximity sensor in the ends of the ball with some type of receiver that runs along the goal line to determine "cross or no cross"?
Speaking of halftime shows, in the Pete Rozell show on the NFL network last week it was mentioned that after the 2nd "Up with People" halftime show Pete said that he never wanted that act again as a halftime show. His intent was that it was too boring.
Heck, any of the old Motown groups are pushing the same age as The Stones, and maybe even more. Don't know if they would have been any more entertaining.
I'm surprised that the players and coaches on both sides even agreed to that commercial. Maybe I'm to superstitious, but I wouldn't have been within 100yds of that thing until I had won it. I thnk that NHL players have some "unwritten code" like that.
I highly recommend anyone with an interest in NFL history to check this out. It was on the NFL Network last night and was pretty interesting.
Programming list does not list it being shown for the next couple of days. Keep your eyes open.
Link to article about Texas A&M seeking a restraining order against Seattle Seahawks from using the slogan "The 12th Man". Wonder why they are persuing Seattle only and not the Bills and the other orgs that use the same or similar slogan?
T A&M vs Seattle
I read somewhere that the beer helps provide a sweeter flavor to the tomato. Could tell a slight differencel, but it helped get rid of some really cheap beer that someone brought to a party.
Melissa,
You can grow just about anything in a container. I've even heard of potatoes grown in a container. The advantage is that the soil gets warmer faster than growing in the ground. The disadvantage is that it will dry out quicker.
The trick that I have found is to get things to grow vertically. Using a trellis, stake, or cage does the trick. Landscaping tape or twine holds them in place.
I did have a lot of success growing a plum variety of tomatoes last season rather than the regular sized ones. They were $1 / four pack castoffs from Home Depot. Almost too many. One trick with them is to prune the sucker stem that grows between the main stalk and branch. The other trick is to add a can of beer (cheap) when watering.
I guess my biggest suggestion is to just try what looks good and buy stuff that has already been started. If it doesn't do well, don't repeat next year. Good luck.
Only 5 of the 14 plants to close were announced. The plant in Buffalo was not one of the 5. The remaining 9 will be determined at a later time.

If I remember correctly, this is policed fairly well at the RBC. Games with Buffalo are fairly well attended by former residents. They even get into the "1-2-3 we want 4" cheer.
