How about your furnace goes on the blinky right when the coldest part of the year arrives and you are 2 days away from going away for Christmas holiday. Luckily, I have a couple of building maintenance friends and the heat exchanger was still under warranty.
Both are right. Between Walden and Pleasant View - east of Central Ave in Lancaster. Right on top of the now departed golf course. The stadium was in the volunteer fire district that I belonged to - Bowmansville.
I don't see anything wrong with having some long term vision, but there are some big potholes (no pun intended) with this. Financially the city, county, and state have major issues. The general area has taken forever to come up with a unified plan for the expansion of the Peace Bridge. Take a drive through downtown. Where would you put it that it would draw stuff other than football games? There is no major entertainment section at that neck of the woods. The city and county have bigger issues to deal with.
Don't just read the job boards. Do some research and find out what other companies are in that area and search their corporate web site for career opportunities. Many jobs are not listed on the job boards. And many of those that are are semi-trash.
Wife and I have vacationed about 6 times at Corolla NC. About as far up the Outer Banks you can go by car. Usually we go Sept/Oct time period. Very few people and the temp has gone down a bit. If you are looking to go somewhere just to veg - that's a good place. We usually rent from Sun Realty.
Glenwood Ave in Raleigh is a good place to go. Not much in Durham - the old DAP (about 10 blocks north of the new stadium). See if you can get into the chapel at Duke and Cameron Indoor (you'll be amazed at how small it is). Franklin Ave in Chapel Hill is good for a cruise.
Plenty of regional and different places to eat at all 3.
I miss Raleigh this time of the year. 1 hour south - Pinehurst.
If you have a specific area that is tight (hamstring, back, shoulder) you need to point that out so that it can be attended to properly. Otherwise, it is a good form of therapy and relaxation.
Ditto on the water, no alcohol. And lots of it.
I was probably within arms reach of Elin at the Tavistock Cup (Isleworth vs Lake Nona club championship) last year. Even though she did not stand out within in the spectators (attire, jewelry, etc) she was very striking. Was very pleasant when I asked her a couple of questions.
Blinco's re-opened recently in a new location after being closed for about a year (lease dispute). Owner (Jim Blinco) is from the Lew-Port area and always has a big turnout / gathering when some team from WNY is in town. Anything on their menu is very good. New location is within 6 miles of the arena. Can't speak for Buffalo Bros. as it opened after I left.
