  1. I hear you. Might be worth asking the traffic department. Sorry I don't have a better answer. And don't hate all of us cyclists.
  2. Found this - hope it answers your very good question. Linky
  3. Sorry - 3 things. Surviving cancer. Surviving being laid off 3 times. Riding 100 miles on my bike to raise cancer research funds 3 times. Going for #4 this summer.
  4. Try this site for troubleshooting - Repairclinic.com
  5. Olivier - What about contacting North Carolina Central University (where he went to college) and ask them if they have any information on him? Maybe they can forward your interview request to him.
  6. Na zdrowie!!!
  7. Green grass, sweet green grass!!
  8. Finished 2 Jim Harrison books recently. The English Major (very good) and The Great Leader (good). The Art of Driving in the Rain brought me to tears on a cross Atlantic flight. On Cold Mountain is an excellent read.
  9. I must have forgot to press the sarcasm button.
  10. Probably too early in the season, but the Marine Corps silent drill parade at night is one thing on my "things to see" list.
  11. This scene made me appreciate movies more. Ali's Well from Lawrence of Arabia
  12. Attached is a link to an article about a cyclist getting hit and the legal proceeding afterwards. Yes, the article is written by a lawyer with cycling interests. Take it for what it is worth. Linky
  13. I can top those with this. Had this, Bobby Orr, and Johnny Bench. Linky
  14. That's too bad for Jaws. Informative but did not talk down to the viewers or dwell on the past. I could sense a change in the flow of the crew over the past two seasons.
  15. Granted, it is some cheesy television, but there are some smart "unique" people in the world.
  16. Don't know anyone that does in the hills of NC, but I used to in the Raleigh area. Seemed like every year some farmer would get nabbed by the feds and state boys for running a still.
  17. Geez - don't take it so personal. I like Boston, but I don't like the drivers there.
  18. I bet he used this recipe. Wink wink. Linky
  19. Yes - OH does have an income tax. And, Columbus and certain communities around it have one as well. For instance, I live in the county (Delaware) directly adjacent to the county (Franklin) that Columbus is in. I have to pay an income tax to Columbus as that is where I work. FYI - school funding is becoming a big issue here (much like just about anywhere else).
  20. As a point of reference, I live in Lewis Center. I can get 50-75 miles on my bike and not have to worry about a lot of traffic. I've seen plenty of deer and turkey on my rides. Columbus has a growing cycling community. Olentangy school district is one of the largest in the area and one of the biggest spenders.
  21. Moved from WNY after graduating from RIT in 1984 to the Dallas TX area. Reason - lack of entry level jobs. Company provided me a huge amount of career opportunities that I still use today. Area was ok, but the level of haves and have nots was huge. Plenty of things to do almost every hour with all kinds of diversity. No state income taxes, but plenty of usage fees. 1994 - moved to Raleigh NC to get out of the defense industry. Really liked the area, enough city goings on while being very close to the country. Weather was a plus. 2001 - moved to Columbus OH as my work assignment in Raleigh was eliminated. Very satisfied with living here. 3 hours to my in-laws in Indy. 5 to Buffalo if a trip home is needed. Don't see us leaving any time soon.
  22. This Cruz kid for NYG is showing me what SJ should be.
  23. I feel honored that my high school still retains its completely politically incorrect nickname.
