  1. JB - Thanks for finding that. The odd / funny thing about your link is that I was the first one to reply to Guff's post in 2011. Wierd.
  2. Been thinking about it all week. Remember the post from the individual (I wish I could remember his name) that was in downtown NY and the events he went through to get home. Was wondering if there is a way to pull an old thread and pin it to the board - for memory / rememberance sake. Flag went up when I left the house.
  3. I did not see anywhere as to why John Harbaugh was left addressing the media and not Ozzie Newsome (GM) or the owner. Seems to me that this is a personnel issue, not a coaching issue.
  4. We have a winner!! But, do your research and have your number in mind so if they come back with some low ball offer you can counter or walk.
  5. 2 votes for yoga and spending some time on my bike. Also, try Calm.com.
  6. 2 for 2. My annual melanoma exam came back clean as a whistle. #kellytough
  7. Thanks for posting that. Nothing than some fresh air, sunshine, and a bunch of energy filled / enthusiastic kids will do to heal oneself.
  8. Pancreatic, and ovarian, cancer is tough because there is no "true" test for it and usually is usually diagnosed at an advanced stage. The survival rate is poor compared with those for other cancer types. Melonoma cancer survivor here.
  9. Thanks for posting this. I needed a story like this today.
  10. If you were going to make a Mt Rushmore of actors, one would have to be Meryl Streep - hands down. Second would have to be Sir Laurence Olivier. Now it gets hard. Tight race between Marlon Brando and Daniel Day-Lewis. (I know - I've mentioned 4 right there) Then, a whole host of others - Henry Fonda, Gregory Peck, Paul Newman, Gene Hackman, Charlie Chapman, Tom Hanks, many others that have been mentioned previously. I haven't seen Harrison Ford mentioned.
  11. Lived in Raleigh for 8 years. Saw a lot of changes in that time. I have not lived there in 10 years (man, where does the time go), but if you are working at Duke you definitely will want to be on the west or north side of Raleigh. The traffic slog from Raleigh through RTP to Duke will make you think twice.
  12. At one time, they did. JKelly was a freshman at UM, and local Billy Hurley played for SU.
  13. In case you are interested and in the area, Pippa Middleton is riding in an 8 person team in the RAAM (Race Across America). Progress can be found here - http://www.raceacrossamerica.org/raam/rcracermap.php?s_N_category_group=2&s_N_Race_ID=1&N_webcat_id=1&s_N_Year_ID=38&s_N_Entry_ID=3199
  14. I wonder if this will be more fuel to having my high school (Lancaster) change its nickname.
  15. The Columbus Blue Jackets do a similar thing here. If you are a STH or a mini-pack subscriber you get a credit card size "ticket". That card is scanned in for entry. Problem with that is you are issued only one card even if you have multiple seats on your pass. So, if there is a member of your group running late they have to get a hard copy / printed ticket (assuming you have not communicated they account username and password). Minor issue, but . . .
  16. Nothing - nada.
  17. I heard about this during the morning news. I wonder if he has a thing for a certain type of pool float or just pool floats in general.
  18. Good for you!! Wifey has missed passing it by one point - twice!! Hopefully, third time is the charm.
  19. Some side info on wood from a cheese making supply house - http://www.cheesemaking.com/Wood4Aging.html
  20. The cyclist is at fault. They have to yield to pedestrians, same as cars.
  21. This is not going to turn out very well for the supervisor. And, on a related note - http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/cheektowaga/police-chief-on-viral-racist-video-there-is-possibly-disorderly-conduct-20140604
