They publish many lists during the year of the Law firms, Tax firms, landscaping companies, etc. Get involved in something - local food bank for example. Many companies have employees volunteer some time there and would be a possible network connection.

Bill due Wed. Called customer service about rate consideration. They forwarded me to NFL Sunday Ticket office. Rep there said they could give me 50% off. He then forwarded me to customer retention for some other possible discounts. Explained to rep at customer retention that I was a Directv subscriber since 2000. Wound up getting this year Sunday ticket for free and got $40 / month off the base bill. Happy dance!!
