  1. I may just have to put those into consideration.
  2. No kids. It's me, myself, and I.
  3. Got thinking during lunch what am I going to do for a vacation this year. Life change has me able to do what I want, when I want. Saw a show on PBS recently about Mt Rushmore and I thought that would be a cool 1 week road trip from Cbus OH. Thinking late Aug / early Sep. I'm also tossing around a road trip to Manitoulin ONT to North Bay (where my family had a cottage for 25+ years) ONT, to Buffalo. Thoughts? What are your vacation plans?
  4. to be shown during draft tonight. https://youtu.be/gDOP5-LqeaI
  5. I think we touched a nerve
  6. So - you're told that the boat leaves at a certain time. You have a watch, a phone, who knows how many devices that have clocks / alarms that you can program and you can't make it back on time. Sorry hope you like seeing the stern end of this boat pulling away!! Saw the same thing happen in Key West. And not just one or two people. Dozens missed the boat (literally and figuratively). Got me thinking about how do you get to your next destination especially if the next place is in a foreign country. Your passport is probably in your room on the boat.
  7. Well played Cliffie.
  8. No - article about him and his battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Dang pollen in this office has made my eyes watery.
  9. I'm using John Deere walk-behind that is about 15 years old. One of the drive wheels does not work and it just started burning oil last year. I've been adding STP Stop Leak - seems to help. Prolly going to be looking for an update in the next year or so once the budget allows.
  10. Do it myself
  11. Good for him to realize inside of himself that this was the best decision. As someone told me recently, "When good things fall apart, better things come together.". All the best to you AJ in the rest of your life.
  12. Small story about Clarke. I was fortunate to get into a number of Tavistock Cup events at Isleworth. I'm at the practice range watching everyone warm up. Someone notices a significant coffee stain on the front of Clarke's white pants. The air turned blue from all the cussing he let out. I zipped back to the house I was staying at and got one of those Tide stain pens, brought it back to the range, and gave it to Clarke's caddie. You'd thought I just handed Clarke a million dollars. Got a thank you, a big handshake, and a couple of signed things. Saw him on the course later in the day and pointed at me and gave me a big thumbs up - no / very little noticeable stain.
  13. Golf Channel showed a shot of him with caddie and David Ledbetter on practice green just grinding out 3 footers.
  14. Something makes me remember that GP does hundreds of situps and pushups everyday.
  15. 2500 sq ft 2 story, 3 bed, 2.5 bath, house. Just myself (divorce). Electric hot water heater, gas fireplace, electric dryer, gas furnace, a/c. Thermostat in winter is set to 65, summer 72. If I remember correctly, the highest bill this winter was in the $150 range. Previous summer was near $100. Both were very mild in comparison to other years. Actually thinking about solar panels.
  16. The comment about the transit was to save time in getting around. If you do rent a bike from the Velib, make sure you have a card with the chip in it. Kiosk won't work without.
  17. Bison. Sabre. Ralph. Punch.
  18. Same here.
  19. Learn / use the transit system. When asking a question / addressing a local always start with "Bonjour". Then ask your question in English. Find a park bench or cafe and people watch. You will not have enough time to do what you want in a week. We used that site as well when we went.
  20. Yes - it is a bit of a chamber of commerce video, but still some good things pointed out. Felt like jumping in the car and driving up there after watching. Enjoy http://www.bestdesignedcity.com/
  21. Thanks for the correction.
  22. What if Greg Allman wasn't a "Ramblin' Man"?
