Gung - agree with you on CLE. Their starting pitching is essentially down to 2 (Kluber and Tomlin) and host of relief pitchers to go with 2 closers (Miller and Allen). If Merritt can get through 5 with little to no damage, I see Tito using the same plan as game 3. Rolling out a new reliever until he can use Miller and Allen. GO TRIBE!! C

May roadtrip up there just to take in the fun. City Tap would be my end point to watch the game.

Why not pick up on the other Rust Belt team??

If it winds up CLE / CHI, they may be throwing snowballs instead of baseballs.

All 22 - Passing Yards Left on Table Analysis
BuffaloBud replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just thinking in a manner of angles / timing, the throw to Woods (or any throw to the sideline where the receiver is running parallel to it) may be the hardest one to make. For any quarterback. The angle, speed, and distance all have to be spot on. Where on other throws, the margin of error is greater because the receiver, and possibly quarterback, can make more adjustments. -
The financial hit cap-wise would set Miami back so far. Besides, who replaces Prescott if he goes down?

Update from sister in Jax. They were able to get back late morning. Power was on when they got there. No flooding in the house, but some small water leaks in ceilings. Can't tell if they have any missing roof shingles. They have friend that has drone with camera that offered to check roof. Big bullet dodged. Dunes are gone and pier that is about 15 blocks north of them lost about 5 piers and a lot of the decking.

Got a text from my sister this am - where they are in Jax they still have power. Parents live in the Ocala area (The Villages). Dad said that they had rain / wind, but nothing to be alarmed about. Address to Jax Pier web cam - http://voidlive.com/jax-pier-surf-cam/ I've checked it a couple of times this morning and the waves have not reached the decking of the pier. High tide in Jax area is about noon. See what happens then.

My Mr Palmer story. My father-in-law respected Mr Palmer greatly as they both were about the same age. So, for my FIL's 80th birthday I thought I would try to get Mr Palmer to sign a birthday card for him. I picked out a nice card and wrote a note about my FIL, the reason for the blank card and a very polite/humble request that he sign it for my FIL. I sent the card and return postage up to Latrobe PA knowing that Mr Palmer spent much of the summer up there to get out of the central FL heat. About a week later in the mail the return postage arrives. I'm nervous thinking some staff member just stuck it in the return postage. I open it up and the card is signed with a short, but nice note to my FIL congratulating him on his big day. I was so overwhelmed that Mr Palmer did more than asked. I gave that card to my FIL for his birthday present from me. He was quite taken by it. I got the card and an old picture of Mr Palmer that my FIL took at a charity event framed. It hangs in his house and I would look at it every time I visited. I'm sure he's looked at it a few times the past couple of days. Cheers to you Mr Palmer and Godspeed.

And you think a computer / satellite will do any better? What happens if someone hacks into the system, loss of power, weather related interruption of signal, bad line of code?
-
Oh yeah - we really want autonomous driving vehicles. We can't even do this right ourselves. How someone didn't get killed in that I have no idea.

Tough to call. Pre-salary cap v salary cap / free agency eras.

A Look Back at the Great Bruce Smith

Good to see Bruce and Phil Hansen in good health. -
Saw that in paper today. One really has to have some twisted values to be in that state of mind.

4511.55 Operating bicycles and motorcycles on roadway. (A) Every person operating a bicycle upon a roadway shall ride as near to the right side of the roadway as practicable obeying all traffic rules applicable to vehicles and exercising due care when passing a standing vehicle or one proceeding in the same direction. (B) Persons riding bicycles or motorcycles upon a roadway shall ride not more than two abreast in a single lane, except on paths or parts of roadways set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles or motorcycles. © This section does not require a person operating a bicycle to ride at the edge of the roadway when it is unreasonable or unsafe to do so. Conditions that may require riding away from the edge of the roadway include when necessary to avoid fixed or moving objects, parked or moving vehicles, surface hazards, or if it otherwise is unsafe or impracticable to do so, including if the lane is too narrow for the bicycle and an overtaking vehicle to travel safely side by side within the lane. (D) Except as otherwise provided in this division, whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to one predicate motor vehicle or traffic offense, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of two or more predicate motor vehicle or traffic offenses, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree. Effective Date: 01-01-2004; 09-21-2006 A) - At 830 on a Sunday morning I shouldn't have to contend with a SOB such as this. Damn near killing someone for no particular reason except for being an SOB!! B) - I tend to scout out the routes / roads and ride early in the morning so that I minimize the potential grief for you 4 wheel operators. C) - I ride to the extreme right of the lane as possible. Typically putting the fog line between the right handlebar and the handlebar stem. In fact, that is probably too far to the right to be easily seen. Even with three sets of blinking lights on the back of my bike. I've been to the upper CA wine area and would have to agree with you. There is a time / place / route. That is not it. Off season - maybe. -

I know you all are semi-goading me here - but, I'm not buying. I have the right to the road per the Ohio Revised Code. Let's leave it at that. -

I'll keep all this in mind the next time some SOB buzzes me at 830 on a Sunday morning. Damn near clipped me with the side view mirror doing well over 60mph on a very quiet, low traffic road out in the country.
