  1. Pretty dominate last nite. Hope CLE bats can wake up a bit over the weekend - otherwise . . . .
  2. From BBC.com - The biggest merger to be announced this year would combine AT&T's distribution network, which includes 130m mobile phone customers and 25m pay-TV subscribers, with content from the Warner Brothers film studios and the cable TV channels HBO, the Cartoon Network and CNN.
  3. Business pundits indicate that this will be very difficult to clear SEC. Also, debt load on ATT is already off the charts.
  4. I agree. About a game a month.
  5. Pretty coll huh? How many did you eat?
  6. Gung - agree with you on CLE. Their starting pitching is essentially down to 2 (Kluber and Tomlin) and host of relief pitchers to go with 2 closers (Miller and Allen). If Merritt can get through 5 with little to no damage, I see Tito using the same plan as game 3. Rolling out a new reliever until he can use Miller and Allen. GO TRIBE!! C
  7. Add this into the mix of Buffalo cuisine - http://buffalonews.com/2016/10/12/black-sheep-owners-steven-ellen-gedra-take-manhattan/
  8. May roadtrip up there just to take in the fun. City Tap would be my end point to watch the game.
  9. Why not pick up on the other Rust Belt team??
  10. If it winds up CLE / CHI, they may be throwing snowballs instead of baseballs.
  11. Just thinking in a manner of angles / timing, the throw to Woods (or any throw to the sideline where the receiver is running parallel to it) may be the hardest one to make. For any quarterback. The angle, speed, and distance all have to be spot on. Where on other throws, the margin of error is greater because the receiver, and possibly quarterback, can make more adjustments.
  12. The financial hit cap-wise would set Miami back so far. Besides, who replaces Prescott if he goes down?
  13. Maybe by the time he is ready he'll be ready for the Senior Tour
  14. Update from sister in Jax. They were able to get back late morning. Power was on when they got there. No flooding in the house, but some small water leaks in ceilings. Can't tell if they have any missing roof shingles. They have friend that has drone with camera that offered to check roof. Big bullet dodged. Dunes are gone and pier that is about 15 blocks north of them lost about 5 piers and a lot of the decking.
  15. Like they say - You can't fix stupid!!
  16. Got a text from my sister this am - where they are in Jax they still have power. Parents live in the Ocala area (The Villages). Dad said that they had rain / wind, but nothing to be alarmed about. Address to Jax Pier web cam - http://voidlive.com/jax-pier-surf-cam/ I've checked it a couple of times this morning and the waves have not reached the decking of the pier. High tide in Jax area is about noon. See what happens then.
  17. Lets go Tribe!!
  18. Sister who lives about 2 blocks from beach in Jax has moved inland for shelter.
  19. Watched part of it during lunch at work. Hard to keep a dry eye. Hope Golf Channel replays this later tonight.
  20. My Mr Palmer story. My father-in-law respected Mr Palmer greatly as they both were about the same age. So, for my FIL's 80th birthday I thought I would try to get Mr Palmer to sign a birthday card for him. I picked out a nice card and wrote a note about my FIL, the reason for the blank card and a very polite/humble request that he sign it for my FIL. I sent the card and return postage up to Latrobe PA knowing that Mr Palmer spent much of the summer up there to get out of the central FL heat. About a week later in the mail the return postage arrives. I'm nervous thinking some staff member just stuck it in the return postage. I open it up and the card is signed with a short, but nice note to my FIL congratulating him on his big day. I was so overwhelmed that Mr Palmer did more than asked. I gave that card to my FIL for his birthday present from me. He was quite taken by it. I got the card and an old picture of Mr Palmer that my FIL took at a charity event framed. It hangs in his house and I would look at it every time I visited. I'm sure he's looked at it a few times the past couple of days. Cheers to you Mr Palmer and Godspeed.
  21. And you think a computer / satellite will do any better? What happens if someone hacks into the system, loss of power, weather related interruption of signal, bad line of code?
  22. Oh yeah - we really want autonomous driving vehicles. We can't even do this right ourselves. How someone didn't get killed in that I have no idea.
  23. Tough to call. Pre-salary cap v salary cap / free agency eras.
  24. Good to see Bruce and Phil Hansen in good health.
  25. Saw that in paper today. One really has to have some twisted values to be in that state of mind.
