  1. Look into AirBnB. Just did this over this past weekend in Chicago. Hotels in the city were $250+ a night. Stayed in Des Plaines - $75 a night. Just had to drive to CTA station and pay the transportation fee.
  2. Her husband is not doing well health wise and she was spending too much time at the restaurant. JR - Little Dragons is on the radar.
  3. Sandwich (changes between chicken, turkey, ham), maybe a side of something, and some seasonal fruit. My favorite Chinese place closed up recently - Helen's Asian Kitchen. Best dang dumplings in CBUS.
  4. Good example
  5. Really tempted to get out now. Polaris area, Olentangy schools, Alum Creek Res, .... Only problem is what / where to move into. Would love to move into the city but townhouse market has gone off the charts like stand alones. And the townhouse market up by me is no money saver either.
  6. Chef J - what you showed there is stunning. If yours has the view - I'd be hard pressed not to stick a toe in the water. But, where / what would you move into? Market in CBUS is off the charts. Purchased mine about 15 yrs ago at approximately $250K and just had an appraisal figure of $347K.
  7. Was thinking the same thing!!
  8. I think I'm going to be the outlier here, but I would stay. Starting March 1st you haven't given this job enough time to really settle in. Do you know that this is / is not the job for you long term or are you just chasing dollars?
  9. Not near that time yet, but I've been thinking of a portable knife sharpening business. Restaurants, farmers markets, occasional flea market. Some up front costs, but not hard work.
  10. Had a couple of the Vedett Extra White (Duvel) and some Progress Pilsner (out of CLE) this weekend. Both tasty but the Vedett was the better of the two.
  11. Give the board a shout when you drop the kiddo off at OSU. Maybe we can have a beer when you are in CBUS. Did not get to Mt Rushmore last year like I wanted (finances -> divorce). On the radar again this year. Also, parents are renting a flat in Williamsville for the month of August. May go up for an extended weekend for some hometown eating / drinking.
  12. Congrats to PITT. CBJ did not have goalie at his best, missed best offensive defenseman for 2 games. A lot to be proud of and excited for next year. CHI and CBJ both leaked oil towards the end of the season, carried over into playoffs and are now out.
  13. It's unfortunate for the CBJ. Play pretty darn well the majority of the season (last month they were leaking oil) for the youngest team in the NHL. PITT is playing better than CBJ without question. Only hope is to prevent sweep. Have to admit that this Werenski kid is a star in the making at only 19. Check out his twitter site to see the result of taking a puck up under his visor https://twitter.com/ZachWerenski?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor then to come back out and finish the third period.
  14. CBJ had some good pressure at times, but most of their SOG were from outside - Fluery didnt have to work hard on most of those. Need to steal the next one in Pitt to make this interesting.
  15. I'd like to know where in the terms and conditions of the ticket it says that the airline can use physical force to remove anyone from the plane when there is an overbook situation. If you're being an azz to the crew other passengers - let me help you get off the plane. But, for your screw up - NADA!!
  16. So guy in shower is confronted by homeowner. The two yell at each other. Homeowner gets gun from home next door and returns. Homeowner then shoots the guy taking shower. Why didn't the guy taking a shower get the heck out of there?!!? Applying conditioner??
  17. Clemson dropped their swimming program 5-6 years ago. Nephew was on partial scholarship. Bunch of the kids got together and created a triathlon club. Super successful.
  18. Like you couldn't find anything better to do with your spare time?
  19. MN - There may be no "cure". But, what recent research and developments have provided is individualized treatments based on genetics. The genetic mapping thing is where I see the biggest gain. Here in Columbus OH we have a bike ride that raises funds for cancer research at The James Cancer Center at OSU. Last year alone, over 7000 bike riders raised $24 million dollars - all to cancer research. The ride is completely funded by corporate / private donors. There was a great show this past Sunday on CBS Sunday Morning where the entire show was about cancer / cancer research. I highly recommend it. Ghosts and B-Man - Drop me a PM note about the ride. I'm from Lancaster and would consider this in my ride calendar.
  20. Somewhere I have a Talking Proud pin.
  21. My four - Villanova, Arizona, Louisville, UCLA. Steve Alford gets to give IU the finger.
  22. Just a dusting here in CBUS.
  23. They are about 10 years old - yep they've crystallized, but not completely. I warm the jar in some warm water until it reliquidfies. It's not the same though.
  24. My grandfather had a number of them. I still have a number of jars w honey from them. I wish you luck as the bee colony is struggling due to a number of issues.
