  1. I've got an Oakley Timebomb watch that I got as a gift. I wear it when I go out / special function. Other than that I have a Garmin activity, Swiss Army day/date, and Swatch chrono watches.
  2. Cycling, skiing (getting difficult to afford), golf, yoga, paddleboard
  3. My neighbor is a vet. He preaches about getting a mixed breed dog - lots less issues. One alternative is to look at a local chapter of a service dog training center. Some of those dogs do not pass the final grade outs and become available for adoption.
  4. I was diagnosed with melanoma 15 years ago. Was caught very early - fortunate. Thoughts and power to you Positives You learn a lot about yourself and what you can deal with / tolerate You develop an appreciation for simple things You will love your nurses / doctors (Take care of these folks as they have to work with this every day) When finished with your treatment you will be a proponent for research / treatment PM if you need to talk. Stay strong.

  6. Yes - PVW is one of the "golden" whiskeys. In OH they have a lottery in order to purchase one of the limited quantity of bottles.
  7. Best thing is for the Jests to go a different direction so OSU can beat Jimmy down each year.
  8. Good deal that you have Buffalo Trace on hand. Have to be at the liquor store when it arrives here in OH to get your hands on it. Highly recommend the Woodford Reserve. Another good one, out of Utah, is High West.
  9. I've used AirBnB personally once. Chicago area - 2 nite stay - $80 a nite. Clean, close to the train line, couldn't ask for more. My folks rented a flat in Williamsville for the month of August a couple of years ago. Turned out awesome.
  10. The Schultz and Dooley steins would be interesting purchase.
  11. The change of season (limited amount of daylight) may have something to do with it. Make sure you are getting enough exercise. Monitor / limit the amount of alcohol. Melatonin is a good suggestion. Meditation is a good mechanism to help with your sleep.

  19. Nice read. I would hope though that the young man wrote a personal note to Robert Foster for the generosity.
  20. One should take few minutes and go through one of the catalogs.
  21. Sabres 10th W was one of the early lead notes on Golic and Wingo.
  22. The development of high definition tv has made watching hockey on tv so much better than back in the 70's / 80's. So much easier to follow the puck on the ice. I remember watching the Sabres / Leafs / Habs over the air (Hockey Night in Canada) and the only way you knew where the puck was by the movement of the camera. I do think is it a bit of an acquired sport to follow. Or, where you grew up. Rules wise its a bit of a mash up of soccer and basketball. Baseball on tv is like being put to a slow death to me. I'd rather watch it in person - fresh air, etc.
  23. Here's a link to review - https://www.roastycoffee.com/pour-over-coffee-makers/
  24. Godspeed to your dad Jim. My dad took me on one of his business trips to Cleveland and Detroit when I was in junior high (I think). Anyway, he gets us tickets to Indians and Tigers games. Nice box seats. I noticed that my dad gives the usher our tickets, the usher wipes down the seats, and my dad "slips" the usher a couple of bucks. I didn't say anything - just noticed. And I noticed other men, relative same age or older doing the same thing. Later on I realize that he / they were tipping the usher for wiping down the seats. Now when I get seats at my local AAA ballpark, Huntington Park, or other stadium where the usher wipes down your seat I make sure that I have a few bills available for the ushers. I also observe others in my age range to younger that haven't a clue.
