So the Chiefs will basically start an un mobile QB, keep him in the pocket where he will be a sitting duck to further injuries. This is the best QB in the NFL and that kind of gamble would be very foolish to say the least. Won't happen...

So, Mahomes will recover from a high ankle sprain + Patella dislocation and will be just fine in 3 weeks? I bet he sits out till December.....

If the best-case scenario indeed comes to fruition, Mahomes would miss games against the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans in Week 10. With a Week 12 bye, depending on how his knee looks and where the Chiefs stand at that time, it's possible K.C. holds the QB out of the Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers as well to give him two more weeks before returning for December. With Mahomes set to miss at least a few weeks, the AFC West-leading Chiefs will roll with Matt Moore in the short term, until the reigning MVP is ready to go. Patrick Mahomes suffered a serious knee injury during the second quarter of Thursday night's 30-6 win over the Denver Broncos. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback went down with the injury with 10:00 left in the second quarter following a fourth-down QB sneak. Mahomes was tended to by trainers on the field before walking off with them into the Chiefs locker room.
