There is no denying that the Pegula's were lured by the big splash effect of hiring Rex Ryan. To say that Rex had no effect on the Pegula's and solely convinced Whaley he is the guy is a myth or fairy tale.

Not sure exactly what he meant by that but perhaps he heard a list of QB's they think are simply obtainable.

Yeah, I heard Romo, no Rivers. He is currently better than anyone else we have access to, and could cover the gap while we draft and groom a QB. He's got 2-3 more years in him I think.

Really depends on the contract but ill take a 38 year old Brees over all other prospects.

Why would Lynn be a bridge to a reset? I'd like to see this offense with a healthy Sammy and an improved defense in 2017, and I see playoffs. Just have to beat the Jets/Dolphins at least once each, and one other team that we didn't this year.

But isn't there an argument to say "Best man up" rather than "Not good enough, get rid of him, oh no...who are we going to start?" I mean if you think we can use the cap savings from cutting Tyrod to make a playoff contender out of this team with a Hoyer, Gabbert, or Kaepernick on the cheap, then that's fine, thats an opinion, but I wholeheartedly disagree with that route if we want to try to be successful, while continuing to look for that franchise guy (mostly in the draft).
