That's a pretty brilliant way of putting other people's perspectives in "perspective" for lack of a better word.

Could Dennison have been part of the rumors that the Broncos wanted Tyrod?

You want to start a rookie QB this year? -
3 weeks before what? He was on there since the Raiders game. Finally, to end on a somewhat lighter note, two key Bills on the injury report really don’t need to be there. Zach Brown (hand) and Tyrod Taylor (groin) were listed as full participants all week and don’t have an injury designation. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2016/12/2/13805028/buffalo-bills-injury-report-ronald-darby-percy-harvin-sammy-watkins-marcell-dareus

The DC lost to 194 yards of offense, and the OC put up 194 yards of offense. Mostly kidding. Not much could be done with Peyton Manning at that point, and the Broncos defense simply dominated the Panthers.
-
Oh as the Quarterbacks coach! Good catch!
-
You can find Patriots fans on twitter who think Brady needs to go every time he throws a pick.
-
Looks like he was OC in Houston whan Schaub was thought of as decent too. (Granted, Schaub was good the year before he got there too)

The problem comes to the replacement. We cut Tyrod, we need a valid replacement. I could go with Romo or Cousins or some other high caliber QB, but I can't stomach a Kaepernick or Hoyer in 2017. We might as well tank at that point. So yes, keep Tyrod if there is no replacement plan, because he gives us the best chance to win. He is turning 40 in August. Not much longer thank god. -

That's with a $16 million Tyrod Taylor hit. Knock him off and we are up to 11th. Not that I think we should. -
Schopp: Imagining the Bills as open

Well the whole premise is based off the media acting like they are pricks who are entitled to Steak sandwiches and an open forum with Terry Pegula.... -

sounds pretty "dysfunctional". -
You guys are being silly, rebuild talk is all fine and well, but Whaley has been consistent in his statement of "finding a coach for the next 10-15 years" and the long term. He also said we are close now, but those things aren't mutually exclusive. McDermott said he helped build the Carolina defense "brick by brick" and did not say he was going to build this one "brick by brick", just that he had the defensive experience. I'm just not sure how you get "rebuild" out of their comments.

Report: Greg Olson to Rams as QB coach
What a Tuel replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can see this. It is funny how Vic Carucci is pointing out that the Bills OC job would've paid more and that Olson "bailed" on it to stay in California. He does point out that Olson has kids, and might want to prefer California, but there is a hint of "omg he turned down a better paying job because it was the Bills" in there, even though he wasn't offered the job and none of what you said to be found in his posts. -
What was Antonio Brown thinking
What a Tuel replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I don't understand the big deal. I believe I have seen quite a few locker room live streams after big games? Are we really freaking out because the coach said !@#$s? Sheesh. But whatever, Antonio Brown, you can come to the Bills opposite Sammy Watkins, and live-stream our "dysfunction" all you want! -

I thought he went to the Rams. -
2016 - Clear Broncos defense dominates Cam Newton - Peyton Manning passes for 141 yards 0 tds 1 int 2015 - Game ends on a pick in the endzone by Patriots defense at near loss - Tom Brady passes for 328 yards 4 tds 2 ints 2014 - Clear Seahawks defense dominates Peyton Manning - Russell Wilson passes for 206 yards 2 tds 0 ints 2013 - Offensive shootout between what is considered as an "manageable" QB in Flacco, and mediocre Colin Kaepernick - Joe Flacco passes for 287 3 tds 0 ints Its kind of funny to see this thread, and then see what won the Super Bowl the last 4 years.

You don't grant these types of interviews too often. Why today? Terry Pegula: I guess there's been a perception we're inaccessible. But I've been consistent from Day One when I bought the Sabres and then with the Bills, by owning these teams it's about the players and coaches. We didn't buy teams to be visible in the media. We bought teams to keep them in the area and to flourish with them. I let the coaches and the players be out front and be the story. Kim Pegula: We want to make sure that the new coach coming in will be the voice of our organization and make sure we're all looking forward. So we wanted to get a lot of these questions out of the way if need be. They took the interviews to get the nonsense out of the way so that it isn't a distraction. Edit: There were statements by the media that they were inaccessible and not present at the press conference, and that started to turn into a narrative that the media was spinning. Fans even started claiming they were hiding out in Aspen or wherever their plane was at the time. Of course you will argue that Whaley caused the distraction, but I think there would be questions for the Owners either way and they didn't make themselves available. Especially after Pegula firing Rex ahead of schedule.
-
It wasn't so long ago that people were mocking Rex for being the king of press conferences. You are right, Whaley does the job he needs to do, and acing press conferences won't improve the team one bit.
-
You have to look at it in the context of the question. Whaley was asked what makes a rookie HC the right choice this time around? Whaley responded with a statement that McDermott will put the Bills in the best position to maximize player development, and consistently give us a chance to win. He wasn't commenting on winning on its own. He was commenting on why he chose McDermott - because he believes McDermott will both maximize player development, and give us a fighting chance to win on the field. Sounds like a pretty valid path to winning in my opinion. Q: This question is for Doug, actually. Last time around, Terry said that he had wanted Rex because he thought the team was two plays away from 11-5 and they were on the cusp of breaking through so he wanted a better head coach. This time, the interviews were exclusively coaches without head coaching experience before. What made that the right direction this time around? DW: We looked at it this way: to win in this business, it’s about two things. It’s about players and winning. With Coach McDermott, we know that we have a guy that will maximize player development as well as consistently give our ball club a chance to win, and that’s what we were focused on.

I don't think that they don't care, I think that they are over it, and their current actions aren't aimed at recovering from it, but moving past it. So I think we mostly agree, but they aren't dwelling on it. As stated in the Graham interview, they look at this as a distraction that they are just trying to get out of the way so the Coach and the players can be the face of the organization.

He clearly meant you need two things to win, you need the players, and you need to actually win the games. I think we can all identify that part of the reason we didn't make the playoffs was because in 2014 and 2015 we failed to win games that we should have. You'd think that Bills fans would like the fact that the GM is saying "we don't only need to set ourselves up to succeed with the talent, but we need to execute and actually win too, and only then will we be a winning franchise." But nope, we regress to shallow potshots. How are they definitely not? I guarantee that they do not look at this as a roadblock to the success of the franchise, and more as an annoying distraction that they would have rather went right, but they will move past it just fine. Terry Pegula's comments reflect that, and Kim Pegula's comments support that they wish that it would have went better but they are moving past it.

Just saying, the first 2 pages of this post were pretty ridiculous. Talking about propaganda and damage control by providing a pretty standard interview about the new coach and key players - and one they have done before with many previous coaches and GMs. It is standard stuff. The Bills org is completely over the press conference and moved on, but people can't just let it go. They have to rave on and on about it even though Whaley nailing the press conference doesn't make this football team better one bit.
