It is not about who is better than Tyrod, RIGHT NOW.
What a Tuel replied to KellyToughII's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is that why there are so many new people? Did it shut down or something? I thought people were just excited about the upcoming deadline haha. Edit: Nevermind, I just looked closer at a few of the other topics. Weird. -

There is a correlation between winning and getting compensatory picks? -

How is San Francisco doing with their loads of draft picks the last 4 years? 2013 - 11 picks 2014 - 12 picks 2015 - 10 picks 2016 - 11 picks This isn't including all the draft picks they traded away, buy 1 get 1 free. Draft picks are great but they don't guarantee success. -

Are we really complaining that the Bills aren't awarded comp picks because they didn't let talented players go/picked up too many good players in free agency? Seriously? -
Where is Karlos now? Also Gillislee had 47 carries over 5 games in 2015. That's it. If you think that he would have sustained 5.7 yards per carry as a feature back, you are nuts. He had 101 carries this year over 15 games. Again different story if we cut Shady and Gillislee was our feature back. I like Gillislee, but man you are surely extrapolating statistics a great deal.

Are the Bills a talented team?

Sammy Watkins ranks #51 in targets per game for WRs. Larry Fitzgerald ranks #10. You can make the 2.8 targets per game difference seem small, but it is pretty big in reality. -

Report: Browns will try to trade for Jimmy Garoppolo
What a Tuel replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, that was the point. The Browns were willing to part with a 4th (3rd cond) to the Patriots for a player they could have lost to free agency. Having #33 may stop them from having to give #12. That's quite a loaded question. Garoppolo is a QB on his rookie contract, not a career backup. Patriots got #34 for Matt Cassel who got to show off the year Brady was injured, and Garoppolo got a similar opportunity this year. I could see #33 which is technically a 2nd round pick. Factor in that its the Browns and if I were the Pats, I'd aim for #12. Also for the record, I don't think Garoppolo is going to be a legitimate starting QB in the NFL over the next couple years, so no I don't think it's a good idea for the Browns. -

I'd agree. Browns have an extra one and like I said above they just traded a 4th (conditional 3rd) for Jamie Collins who needed to be signed to a contract still because he was going to be a free agent. Why wouldn't they pay more for their perceived QB of the future? Why would the Pats take less? -

Haha, yeah, I was mostly joking. But they did trade a 4th rounder to the Patriots for Jamie Collins and he was a free agent. I think they were like 0-8 at the time? Someone should tell them to snatch Manuel up before he hits the market! (Nothing against Manuel, more against the Browns wasting the plethora of picks they've had over the last several years) -

If the Browns want to give away their picks, Whaley should fleece them for Manuel! -
Has a backup qb gone onto greatness somewhere else
What a Tuel replied to judman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If no one has already then I'll say it - Simmer down, the joke is based off of the female comedian Janeane Garofalo. https://www.google.com/search?q=janeane+garofalo&biw=1916&bih=960&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwj_yLbDlPDRAhWEOyYKHWdQAm4Q_AUIBigB I think its a pretty rough question because the phrase "backup qb" is widely undefined. If you include starting QB's that moved on or were replaced then the list gets much bigger, but strictly backups? Not many. -
Them guys.....youse guys.....they guys
What a Tuel replied to HelloNewman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"The process basically is, we're going to sit down with every position coach and the coordinator and the head coach, and they're going to have time to look at the guys on our roster right now, be them free agents, be them restricted free agents, and be them guys that are under contract," Whaley said "What we want to have them do is explain their vision of the player in their system that they're going to run. So that's the process. Then we go from there and assign a value." http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/01/senior_bowl_2017_what_buffalo_bills_gm_doug_whaley_said_about_tyrod_taylor.html Doomed! The nitpicking is reaching levels of hilarity not thought possible. -
I didn't need him to explain it to grasp the idea, and I am not sure why people struggle with this. We are a team on the edge of the playoffs, and maybe one of these years we will make it in, but he wants to build a team that competes consistently, not one that floats around the edge.. I also don't understand why people see a problem with this. It is a pretty healthy attitude to have. It's like playing dumb is the medias way of paying back Whaley.

Mental health? Could it possibly be as simple as Watkins not knowing his mindset if his WR coach leaves? Like glad he got a job somewhere, but damn it sucks he left. You know conflicted, like a normal person. You make it sound like he thinks he will have a mental breakdown or something. That said, Sammy has proven he is worth it on the field absolutely. Just hasn't been on the field enough.
-
Eh, obviously its a loaded question but the idea that not cheating leads to no championships is a false premise. My answer is neither.
-
You don't have to cheat to win. The bills losing isn't because they haven't cheated. I will take the Falcons team in the position they are in right now over the Patriots any day.

Sorry, but I'm still going to miss Hogan
What a Tuel replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does he come with defenses not covering him? I mean come on, the guy was literally standing in areas where defenders just ignored him. The guy has Woods like stats on a team that threw 120 more times this season. Would he have helped once Watkins was out? Maybe. But when Hogan left, we had Watkins, Woods and Goodwin. The upgrade from Goodwin to Hogan just isn't worth the $4 million. -
So having routine knee surgery in January after the season is over is affecting your assessment of his potential?

Like Bobby you are speculating way too much. The NFL penalized the Bills for not reporting Mario's hand injury. You are comparing reports based off of injury's you have very limited knowledge of, especially if they would break the NFL's rules. Suffice to say if the NFL thought the Mario thing fit the description for penalizing the Bills, it sounds like they likely looked into the Tyrod and Woods cases as well and dismissed them. Meanwhile, the Seahawks didn't put Sherman on the report at all, all year.
