  1. Seeing some of Philip Rivers freakouts during games, I read this in a very angsty Philip Rivers voice. The guy seems very stressed out. Philip Rivers: "Obviously, it's nothing he can't catch up on. But this to me is valuable time, especially at his position. With all of the things we ask for from our receivers formation-wise and all of the things we do like no-huddle, it would be good for him to be out there doing this."
  2. Oh yeah, I can just picture all of those TDs with EJ Manuel and Kyle Orton at the helm. My guess is we would love him and think he is great, but I don't think he would be the spectacle that he has turned into at this point. On the flip side, there may be more drama with him than Sammy has dished out about getting him the ball, and us getting a legit QB.
  3. Dareus plays hard when he is actually on the field, so if he cares that he doesn't get suspended, and is on the field, then both parties will be happy. As long as he doesn't get suspended again, we aren't "stuck" with him. He is a high caliber player.
  4. What are they waiting for? The Pegula's need to get a legit medical staff in here to get stuff done. Not this rinky dink medical staff that waits weeks to amputate. This puts Zay at risk for hopping into the season for game 1.
  5. I'd like to point out that Seattles line isn't spectacular, and I believe ours is much better.
  6. While I understand ties may be the better way to do tie breakers for playoff seeding, I don't think the average person will see this. I think the average football fan will despise so many ties as boring and pointless.
  7. Is it though? Doesn't that mean McDermott was unwilling to value the position as a need? Just playing devils advocate here for when people start making up reasons to hate the current management. LMAO. How can anyone say the Buffalo News doesn't have it out for Whaley? He must've pissed them off royally either at the infamous press conference or in some other manner.
  8. I just want to know if Peterman doesn't work out, is that a strike against the GM/McDermott? Or is it ok that he tried?
  9. There was no upside to cutting EJ. The Bills organization doesn't operate to spite players that didn't work out. They didn't pick up the option and they went with other QBs for the time being.
  10. I think we are done here. You make things up as you go along to insult or belittle the team. I showed you pictures of 3 defenders ready to annihilate Watkins, and you take it as proof Watkins should've taken that punishment to get an unattainable 1st down, just to make you happy. Give me a break.
  11. Pegula said McDermott submitted a list too but that was the extent of his part. From OP: "When we started this process, we -- Kim, myself, Russ was involved, and others -- we put together four or five lists of potential candidates, cross-referenced them, and, you know, Sean was one of the individuals [involved in our search]," Pegula said. "Brandon's name showed up on most of the lists, if not all of them. So from that, and from discussions with people outside the organization, we picked the candidates we wanted to interview. But Sean's involvement was no more than writing a name on a piece of paper, which he wrote seven or eight names."
  12. While they are in there, they better check on his spleen.
  13. I agree, not that I think you disagree, but just in this scenario he has one guy lining him up practically ready to launch at him, another guy about to wrap him up, and a 3rd guy to do a punishing 3rd hit if he is still up - all that for minimal gain is silly.
  14. So you give a coach and gm one year to get their stuff together and turn a team around or fire them? That is more backwards than any choice Pegula has made.
  15. You are simply wrong man. He had 3 defenders in front of him. Thank you for the link, I was looking for it but did not expect to find a full game video. Does the NFL put all previous games on YouTube for free now or something? Or is that not even really the NFL posting those?
  16. Pretty sure that isn't at all what happened. Was 154 yards 1 td not good enough for you? Played like a 4th rounder? Jesus this board sometimes. Granted he was injured, but he plays like an elite receiver whenever he is on the field.
  17. He produces at a high level every time he takes the field. He has been unfortunately hit with injuries. Not the Bills fault or Watkins fault. It is what it is. But its worth saying again, he is an elite force whenever he takes the field.
  18. This was posted in the "cleaning house" thread a week or so ago. I have no problem with it being posted again for people who didn't see it, but lets not pretend that Pegula isn't going to take the words of his respected employees, no matter how much you want to put the blame of 17 years of bad football on one guy because he "must" be the problem if nothing else is.
  19. That's supposedly why the Chargers released him. Drafted 2 guards.
  20. Josh Norman is with the Redskins now. Can't imagine he is harboring hard feelings for us snatching his old GM from his old team. Or am I misinterpreting?
  21. "When we started this process, we -- Kim, myself, Russ was involved, and others -- we put together four or five lists of potential candidates, cross-referenced them, and, you know, Sean was one of the individuals," Terry Pegula said. "Brandon's name showed up on most of the lists, if not all of them. So from that, and from discussions with people outside the organization, we picked the candidates we wanted to interview. But Sean's involvement was no more than writing a name on a piece of paper, which he wrote seven or eight names." http://buffalonews.com/2017/05/12/terry-pegula-explains-involved-sean-mcdermott-russ-brandon-gm-search/
  22. Nope. Terry. They have already started with the "he is out of his depth with these franchises" stories. It won't be long before we start hearing media say "We won't win until we have competent ownership".
  23. Yes, go ahead and define what competing at a high level means to you without getting Pegula's input and then pretend Pegula looks like a fool for saying the Panthers competed at a high level. (All it means is winning seasons apparently.) The Panthers have won their division 3 out of the last 5 years with Beane there and went to a Super Bowl. We can only hope we win our division 3 out of the next 5 years.
