  1. Tyrod Taylor vs Jets 29-40 285 yards 2 TDs 6 carries 35 yards 1 TD 1st Quarter 1 Sack 4-7 35 yards 18 yards rushing 2 Punts 2nd Quarter 4 Sacks 7-11 80 yards 1 TD 2 Punts 3rd Quarter 3-6 48 yards 2 punts 8 yards rushing 1 Tyrod fumble recovered by Buffalo 4th Quarter 12-20 119 yards 2 sacks 1 fumble 1 turnover on downs 12 yards rushing 1 TD 1 Rushing TD 1 DPI Call on incomplete pass Last 6 minutes of game: 1 sack 9-14 99 yards 12 yards rushing 1 TD 1 Rushing TD 1 DPI Call Its a given that we pass more in the 4th Quarter when we are down obviously, but sooo many short drives and missed opportunities with the guy.
  2. Taylor was not good against the Jets. He built up his stats at the end of the game which he always does. Does very poorly throughout the game and then in the last few minutes he can suddenly throw the ball competently but its far too late.
  3. I will say Peterman is starting this week. The coaching staff is trying out their options before we go into next year and cut Tyrod loose. Need to know if Peterman is adequate to keep on the roster.
  4. Tyrod is not performing in the top 5 of all NFL QB's. This is the same twisting of stats that I myself even fell into when Manuel was playing. Tyrod isn't good enough, and he is only good enough when our defense is hugely dominant. If they aren't then say goodbye to the game cause Tyrod ain't saving us.
  5. Peterman is starting Sunday. Take that to the bank. Honestly. Tyrod isn't the guy and the defense needs to step up. McDermott is trying out existing QB's on the roster before we go in and draft one high next year.
  6. I love Sammy and Woods, but Tyrod didn't throw 300 even with them. Not that that matters at all. Tyrod isn't coming back next year, why is it ridiculous to try out additional QBs?
  7. My reaction is give him the rest of the season. No way do we go forward with Tyrod next year, why not try out who will be here? He gets the ball out quick. Its refreshing watching him throw.
  8. Call me naïve, but I am optimistic for our chances. However wouldn't it be funny if we beat the difficult teams (Chiefs, Patriots 2x, Saints), and lost to the bad teams the other 4, and didn't get in? That would be the most Billsy way to miss the playoffs. I mean at the beginning of the season would you see us: Beating: Broncos Falcons Buccanears Raiders Saints Patriots Chiefs And losing to: Jets Dolphins Colts Bengals Panthers Chargers Which brings me to my final point. Last years schedule is meaningless, so don't bother whining in April about how we have a tough one.
  9. Its almost as if humor is subjective and some people find things humorous and some don't.
  10. One 1st was for giving up a first not a player. One 2nd was for giving up a player we drafted with 2 1sts. One 3rd was for giving up a guy we drafted in the 2nd round. Its ok guys, the front office can botch one. They aren't getting top optimal value for every single trade, and its ok to call them out on one occasionally. I am not unhappy with the trades, I thought Watkins was a mistake, but replacing him with Benjamin fixes that. Dareus we could have done better on. I don't see the point either. Garoppolo has two games under his belt. Why people think he even deserves a deal, and doesn't need to prove it is beyond me. I surely hope they start him the rest of the year to see what he is actually capable of. That's going to be costly to their draft position if he is the former patriot wonder boy though.
  11. Why would Garapollo even deserve a long term contract? Because he was a Patriot that the Patriots wanted to get rid of when they have a 40 year old QB and no backup? Like come on, San Francisco, stupid trade all around. Now they are in the position of having to give a comparably large contract to a guy that has 2 career games under his belt. The fact that the Patriots are even willing to trade him should send red flags and warning signs all over the place. 49ers can get fleeced, but we got maximum value for Dareus lmao.
  12. That's fine. We will just sit here with our 6th round pick and think we sure are lucky someone was willing to give us that!
  13. But no, the Bills can't get high picks for players. Meanwhile teams are throwing around 2nd round picks.
  14. I hate this argument. For one Beane said he was offered the trade, discussed it, and took it. But even if you don't believe him, this argument suggests that every trade that is ever made is at 100% optimal value, because a better trade didn't occur. That is just silly.
  15. The number of QBs we passed on and subsequently freaked out about only for them to slip silently into obscurity is a large list.
  16. That is what I was afraid Carr would do, but the Bills D held strong outside of 2 drives. I would like to see them get to the QB more as I was also concerned with them being able to get to Carr like once all game. As for the Dolphins? Well if anyone watched them play last year (I did quite a bit because a ton of their game times offset with the Bills), they were lucky to win half the games that they did. Every other week it seemed to be some flukey situation that enabled them to win. I don't think they could replicate that this year, and they subsequently went to the playoffs and got beat.
  17. What would we be looking past to? The Saints? I think they will be looking to close the game out and get a mini bye week in.
  18. No we don't. You are forgetting the accelerated signing bonus. How spending $24 million on no player turns into saving nearly $8 million in savings in your guys' minds, I will never know. https://twitter.com/spotrac/status/924098464685977600
  19. Maybe, but he also definitely says the cap hit. And that is the cap hit of Dareus as of now.
  20. $10 million against the cap in 2017. $14 million against the cap in 2018. With the caveat that the Jags take the rest of the contract.
  21. Yes we do. What do you think that dead money cap hit is? So again while we don't have to pay his base salary, we are still paying for Dareus iao $24 million over two years. True savings will take place in 2019 when we aren't paying Ghost Dareus anything. Edit: I see where you a making a distinction between actually paying him and what not. I am speaking in terms of the Bills salary cap. Yes they already cut the check to him when he signed.
  22. I am really tired of this misleading people that we are "saving" money. The Bills pay Dareus's salary. Dareus leaves. The Bills have to still pay a portion of Dareus's salary, but no Dareus. The portion of what people are calling "savings" is the difference between what we *were* paying him, and what we *still* have to pay him. So to sum it up, we are in fact spending millions on nothing but being glad we didn't spend a bit more on Dareus.
  23. Trust me I know. I was referring to the large number of people on this board looking at the box score and writing Sammy off as bad.
