How much better has Tyrod made our OL look?
What a Tuel replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I question some of the blocking schemes, Tyrod is known for holding the ball way too long. The Oline is blocking best they can in those 5-6 seconds. Its when McCoy is hitting contact 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage when I question wtf the plan was. -
Jags fans are terrified of Bills fans

I need more haha. Not playoff related, but I found this one funny. Never understood why they did their helmets like this. -
I for one wanted Marrone gone. I know many people were hesitant just because we have hit the reset so many times, and with new ownership the expectation was that he would keep the team stable during the transition.

He said he has more than a dozen sources on the Patriots staff that talked to him. But sure if you want to go with the idea that Belichick under no duress, traded away the succession plan to Tom Brady to appease the feelings of a 40 year old QB, then cool. Doesn't sound like Belichick to me though, it sounds like an emotional Kraft type decision to me, but to each their own. Its either that or Garoppolo isn't as good as people think and Belichick knew it. I am still taking a wait and see approach on the QB.

My Letter to The Buffalo News re: Rod Watson
What a Tuel replied to The Plunge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just kind of don't look at it as a different point of view, but as directly insulting the readers. He could have used a different tone and have been fine. But this is unacceptable in my opinion. "We can’t possibly be so psychologically pathetic that having a football team make the playoffs for the first time in 18 seasons becomes the most important thing in town." -

I assume because the Buffalo News has committed a lot of space for it in the past week? Either way, it is pretty presumptuous to assume that we can't concern ourselves with more than one thing at once. -
You don't think that it is shocking or at the very least interesting that the Patriots organization put the desire of a 40 year old QB over their established coach/GM's will who has contributed significantly to their success? Brady will be gone in the next few years at most. Why do that? If it was any other organization we'd be calling it.....shall I say 'dysfunctional'?

Jags fans are terrified of Bills fans
What a Tuel replied to Seanbillsfan2206's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I loved this exchange: Jags fan #1 "Haha the Bills will inevitably move to Canada" Bills fan #1 "But...Jacksonville was rumored to move too constantly giving away home games to London" Jags fan #2 "I see how it works, when you have nothing else to say, bring up relocation talk!" Not to mention the constant Buffalo bashing. As if Jacksonville freaking florida wasn't a humid, bug infested, swampy mess. Also the: When your argument for Buffalo is Canada is ten minutes away your argument is already lost right after their fellow fan says "Its not like Buffalo has something like Orlando an hour away" -
The End of the Nathan Peterman Era...

In other words Tyrod threw to the wrong shoulder but you think it was the right call. Turns out it wasn't cause we lost the game. Tyrod makes the proper throw there and Jones walks into the endzone. This is a theme with Tyrod where his WR's are constantly "adjusting to the ball" because of the inaccuracy. -

If the offense had any penalties in the first half, it was one false start. Tyrod did take several sacks though which contributed to the 3 and outs. Hey if you and the "experts" can look at those drives and say "That's an NFL QB" then all the power to you. To me QB's should be driving down the field and extending drives. Then the Saints game was confirmation that we were getting off track with consistent 3 and outs. Don't get me wrong the defense had a part to play in that awful 3 game streak, but just like Peterman giving the ball to the Chargers through picks, Tyrod was giving the ball to the Jets and Saints through punting and putting the defense right back on the field. No. The WR was running a route towards out of bounds. When Tyrod saw Zay, he saw the direction he was running, and threw it to the wrong shoulder. Zay Jones makes an incredible adjustment while running to even make it a catchable throw. 10% Zay Jones, 90% Tyrod Taylors fault. -

Ball awareness? How about Tyrod having WR awareness? -

Tyrod Taylors drives in the 1st half were: PUNT 3 and out 1:40 drive PUNT 5 and out 2:55 drive TD 8 plays 3:16 PUNT 6 and out 3:35 drive TURNOVER 8 and fumble 2:23 drive If you think that equals success in the NFL then , but I don't. QBs lead sustained drives. I like Tyrod, and at this moment he gives us the best chance to win, but he needs to extend drives. Let's go to the 2nd half, only down 3 points, still in the game and we get the ball to start the half! PUNT 3 and out 1:21 drive PUNT 3 and out 1:20 drive PUNT 3 and out 1:30 drive FUMBLE 4 and out 1:44 drive FUMBLE 5 and out 1:35 drive TURNOVER ON DOWNS 3 and out 0:52 drive TD 10 plays 2:26 drive TD 7 plays 1:41 drive -
Do NY State Income Taxes Hurt the Bills?
What a Tuel replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When they argue that blue states pay in more to the federal government than they get in return, does that include SALT taxes that neither get paid in nor taken out? I never see that clarified, but the Federal government doesn't give that money to the states. They simply don't collect it from tax payers. -

He absolutely did deserve benching and a wake up call. The run game suffers when they know Tyrod won't throw the ball. And no, he did not do well in the Jets game. Constant 3 and outs. He only kicked it up a notch in the 4th quarter when the game was out of reach which buffed his stats. -

Once again this is revisionist history. This game did not have serious playoff implications at the time. The Chargers were 3-6, and would likely need to go at least 6-1 rest of year in order to be considered for the playoffs. They achieved that, but it was not at all likely. -
You are right, not really a prediction, but I was more comparing it to formulas of that type that rate teams based on their perceived skill level based on previous statistics which I often find to be inaccurate when it comes down to actually playing the game which ultimately change the statistics you use to formulate your original opinion of skill level.
