  1. I don't think it'll take two 2nds. I think itll be something like two 1sts (12 and 22), a 2nd, and a 3rd and they may deal next years 2nd or 3rd rather than this years just to keep current draft picks
  2. Thanks, I found it. http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/03-16-brandon-beane-press-conference
  3. anyone have a working link to the press conference? Can't find it anywhere and the WIVB link isn't working. I feel like you are all conspiring to hide the announcement that we moved up to #1 overall from me.
  4. They certainly need some ammo though. Currently the 6th spot isn't enough to trade up to 3rd. So they'd need to likely give up next years 1st at least to move up 3 spots. We can simply outbid them and we shouldn't wring our hands about an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick to do it. No way they ask for next years 1st. Maybe Indy plays it up, maybe they don't but it helps that the Giants and Browns are potential alternative trading partners that we can play up too.
  5. What do we do to fix our pass rush this year? Does this help it? It was severely lacking last year.
  6. Oh knock it off. They play the games for a reason. I say its a guaranteed win. See how that works.
  7. Its kind of weird how you frame Luck as very questionable, and how the Colts could just get their guy and some other big name in the top 4. I feel like that means its an awful move for the Browns.
  8. Absolutely because if you don't play the game, you don't get the QB. The odds of 1st and 2nd rounders being a success are much better than the plethora of 3rd-6th rounders and the few that worked out. Much better odds to take one of the top guys.
  9. "No top end QB talent" I feel like I hear that every year. The one year it was actually true, and we drafted one. At some point we need to try again and this year is way better than next. Especially since we have the capital now. That is all gone next year.
  10. Eh, this one is an idiot. Taylor had 4 ints to Kizer's 22 ints. There are a few voices of reason clarifying this on the board I looked at.
  11. I think they split it up between years, but yeah, this.
  12. This video seems like a comedic parody of someone making the racial bias argument, not a serious argument
  13. This makes you sound small. No offense.
  14. If they don't move up for a qb I will be pissed. We have the ammunition to get this done. Find your QB and get him. In 3 years I won't give a crap about using how many ever picks to do it. I certainly don't care that much about what we gave up for Sammy right now. Just do it. That said I won't abandon the team as a result of them botching this pivotal moment.
  15. I am not a huge fan of the tax plan, I think they could've done much better for the middle class especially when they tote it as being so great for the middle class (I get a whopping $100 in savings). However you have to conduct business in a different manner than private taxes. Corporations consistently look to the long term and may not trust that the taxes wouldn't go right back up in less than 10 years. That would affect their behavior and defeat the purpose far more than private citizens thinking their tax cuts would expire. And as someone already mentioned, those individual tax cuts will be much easier to renew when it comes time.
  16. So the debate here is not if the Patriots would cheat or not? The debate is that they would definitely cheat and other teams should know that and not be dumb?
  17. While I absolutely think that they should have run it on 1st down, the biggest impact was the penalty and not the play call by Tyrod to throw it. Don't take a penalty and we try again from the 1.5 yard line with 2 more runs. Penalty is what killed that potential TD.
  18. Definitely need much better special teams all around. It seemed like we didn't even attempt blocks on every punt yesterday. Our return game is poor. Punting was ok to poor. Coverage is ok for the most part at least I think.
  19. I read somewhere that like half of their sack total were against the Colts and Texans.
  20. Benjamin will want to get paid too, but Carolina did the smart thing and accepted his 5th year on his contract.
  21. I can't wait for the Benjamin trash talk next year when it comes to re sign him. He is on target for a 600 yard season here as well projected over 16 games. It'll be: "Guess he wasn't who we thought he was" "Bust wr" "Nothing to do with our passing attack or QBs"
  22. That's a joke. Watkins injuries certainly were. Let's not rewrite history. No one thought Watkins could stay on the field and that's part of the reason you all disliked him. If Watkins got hurt this year, you guys would be all over that. However he ends up playing 16 straight and Gaines (who had an injury history) plays 11 and Matthews plays 10. Now Gaines, and Matthews are up on free agency this year. Are we going to pay them? If not, then we traded Watkins, Darby, 3rd, 7th round picks for Benjamin and a 2nd and 3rd rounder, and 21 games combined from Gaines and Matthews.
  23. We would have Zay Jones (a rookie), and Thompson as WR's right now if it weren't for the Benjamin trade. I am OK with it after the Benjamin trade, but the Watkins trade made no sense when we had no one for Tyrod to throw to. Matthews would've been great if he could stay on the field which deserves the same criticism everyone gave Watkins flak for. There is a reason WR's stats take a nosedive when they come here.
  24. Good one. That the flaming table tailgating culture is indicative of how Buffalo fans generally act and not isolated instances of extreme intoxication. Edit: Although now that it is a "thing", I assume it'll happen more frequently.
  25. isn't there some site that tracks how long Tyrod has in the pocket?
