This is what no one is talking about. Where is the context? For all I know he is quoting some joke like the person who posted the Modern Family clip said.

Because the reporter is either being used, or is being a total to wait til Draft eve to comment on these things. You'd have to be pretty naive to think this wasn't planned to be pointed to at and publicized at this specific point in time for maximum effect. Its sabotage.

I could see a unspoken deal happening but this one doesn't make sense. At the time the 49ers were 0-8. The Patriots should have taken the Browns 1st rounder right there if that was the plan and not taken the chance that the 49ers have 1st overall and price gouge them now. All for the sake of fooling the rest of the league. Waiting like that could have blown up in the Patriots face.

Why would the Patriots ever risk taking the 49ers "at their word" to trade further up? Heck at the time the 49ers were what 0-8? Why would the Patriots ever risk having the 49ers renig on sending them a potential top 5 pick? Let alone potentially #1 overall? It just makes no sense to keep it a secret outside of the fact that it makes it interesting in your head.

Because he was unproven (and still is) as a legitimate QB. He has a 6 TD 5 INT rate over 5 games. I wish him all the best especially since he isn't on the Patriots, but people need to get off the hype until he proves he can win consistently.

Yeah, I don't get it. I mean it changes from year to year but it seems like every year it is always the same claim of "a tough schedule" for us no matter who we play. This must be a tough league. It is tough to win in the NFL.
