  1. Not sure the Jills were working to get minimum wage. Although they should have at least gotten that by default just as a base. Its the same reason the super bowl half time performers don't get paid. Its not treating them as 3rd world laborers, although some will frame it as such. It is realizing there is implicit value beyond a base pay that they receive. You'll call it BS, but there is a reason why they wanted to do it. They were building their own brands.
  2. The ball was severely underthrown and the wr had to basically like face mask ramsey down in order to get it. It should count but I have no problem saying thats not a feather in Burrows cap. Either way even including it still doesnt show Burrow near Mahomes or Allen.
  3. Better yet: Burrow 4 Games: 97/142 1,105 yards 68% completion 5 tds 2 int 19 sacks Allen 2 games: 48/62 637 yards 77% completion 9 tds 0 int 2 sacks Mahomes 3 games: 89/122 1,057 yards 72% completion 11 tds 3 ints 9 sacks Its simply no contest. Yes I get it, Allen didn't bring the Bills to the Super Bowl, but anyone who watched the playoffs knows that the Bengals defense (somehow) kept the Bengals in the games to steal victory from the jaws of defeat. As opposed to the Bills whose defense snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory, not Josh Allen.
  4. I'm not sure why people think that 1) officials changed how they are calling 2) players thought grabbing a face mask and twisting their head around was green lit after the no call? We didn't see a free for all of helmet twists, so not sure how later on defensive holding calls are wrong and changing the calls?
  5. In regards to your first statement, I think context matters. Sometimes the other shoe drops. Last year we maybe should have lost some close ones, including the Rams game we almost gave away, and the Patriots game with Cam Newton driving to at the very least force OT if not win. This year we fail to win on the 3 yard line of the titans, and the offense plays a baffling game against the Jags. Two game swing either way for both years, small details changing in any of them reverses the situation. I'm also not sure if anyone pointed it out yet but: Last year: Colts->Ravens->Chiefs This year: Patriots->Chiefs->Bengals I get it, the bengals beat the chiefs, but no one can convince me that the bengals would have been akin to the AFCCG against the chiefs last year. Our AFCCG this year was against the chiefs again. If we would have made it to the bengals, it would have been more like playing the Ravens or Colts. We could have won, we could have lost but ultimately the chiefs are the team to beat and we did much better this year coming within 13 seconds of being 2-0 in their house as opposed to getting stomped 0-2 last year.
  6. The Titans scored touch downs on their 3 prior possessions. There was no indication Josh would see the ball again if we lost the coin toss. (ugh i hate the memories that will bring forever) If you have the better QB, why wouldn't you put the game in his hands and end it right there and then?
  7. The Burrow hype is getting ridiculous and in my opinion due for a let down. It almost makes me regret Mahomes losing as this may be worse from a obnoxious fan perspective. Their team as a whole, sure it was successful and made the trek to the biggest game of the year. But giving Burrow all of the credit as an elite passer carrying the team with his cold blood? Absurd. The guy has 4 touchdowns in 12 quarters of play. To put that in perspective, he scored a touchdown in Q1 and Q2 of the raiders game, and Q2 and Q3 of the Chiefs game. The other 8 quarters were field goals and punts, or turnovers (he had two). In arguably every playoff scenario, the defense carried them to where they are now.
  8. Shouldnt we be wheeling and dealing for some of their good players? That Saints team wasnt awful. With a QB they were in the playoffs.
  9. Has anyone seen anything about Daboll trashing Allen? Basically in a roundabout way saying it took a village to make him good? I heard it from a friend but want to see the source.
  10. Im with him, it may happen every season but it is BS. They should have to wait for coaches similar to players with a no tampering date until post super bowl.
  11. Im unclear on this because it waffles back and forth. For the Rooney rule, is the hiring organization supposed to be up front and honest about their intentions? Because it appears that will cause a Flores style lawsuit. Or is the hiring organization supposed to legitimately interview every candidate and then make a decision? I'd think the people who hire, would interview one guy, and think he's their guy, and then interview another and still think #1 is still their guy. Did that mean #2 never had a shot? Maybe #2 just didnt sell himself enough to sway them. In the end, you always have a favorite candidate based on their book of work and resume before you even meet them. It is their job to convince you that they are the better choice and clearly Flores did not. Not to mention the preexisting relationship with the new giants GM and Daboll... The bigger story to me is the paying for losses, and tampering. Thats gonna cost them draft picks.
  12. I love how 0-6 in close games is taken out of the context and it is only a 6 game sample size because the team blow the other teams out of the water the other 12 out of 13 games. Such a bad take. Also for the others, yes Mahomes has a super bowl ring, but does anyone remember the chiefs almost choked that game away as well? What was it? 20-10 with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter against the 49ers? First 6 KC Drives: Punt TD Field Goal Punt Interception Interception At the start of their 3 td comeback with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter Mahomes was like 17/29 for 140ish yards 1 td 2 int. Not saying Mahomes isnt good, but if this was Allen's performance you all would be crucifying him.
  13. Man, you'd think Bills fans would be sharing the pain right now, but it appears we just have a bunch of %$!#'s on the board. There hasn't been a day this week I haven't subconsciously thought about us playing this week even though we aren't. It sucks and it wont go away until we win.
  14. Its not sad. Its part of the healing process. Rehashing the game over and over again is natural. Let people hash it out and heal in their own way. As for the penalty, I saw there was a huge hold towards the end that prevented a sack on Mahomes. Don't remember if it was OT or the 13 second series and i dont want to look, but man was it blatant. Refs apparently weren't gonna be blamed for swaying the greatest game in playoff history one way or the other.
  15. I'm not that poster, but I do worry about how much mental anguish this team can take being so close year after year. Kind of like Rodgers in Green Bay. Allen isn't going anywhere though.
  16. Good advice, but now im in denial that we lost...
  17. Of course we need to win in the playoffs to do a championship run. I do remember (not really as i was too young) that the bills lost 2 playoff games before that amazing run. However that isn't the argument. You basically said we don't match up to the chiefs. Its simply not true as we showed on Sunday.
  18. Give it up. To argue we dont match up to the chiefs level means you didnt watch the damn game. Last year, sure. This year no.
  19. Did not realize he was that old. Where was he before Mahomes? Edit: Holy cow he is the same age as Gronk.
  20. I get that Belichick (maybe Reid too now?) has put unrealistic demands on all other teams in the league, but come on man. There is only one coach (Coughlin) besides Belichick that has won more than one Super Bowl in the last 20 years. 13 other coaches that succeed throughout the year exit the playoffs too without a win. It sucks and the ultimate goal is of course a super bowl but McDermott and company give us the best chance to do that outside of who? Belichick?
  21. Yeah I think it was reported as voting it down, sensationalist journalism at its finest "Voting against it comes back to bite the Bills" makes for fun clickbait, but when it came down to fact checking it people were finding there wasn't even a vote. Im betting a lot of articles were revised.
  22. As far as I know there was no vote taken. I dont know the procedures for what is decided to be voted on, but sounds like there wasnt even any interest to vote at all.
  23. If he blamed it on the "kick", he is dooming Bass to a lot of harassment and passing responsibility to someone else. Owning up to it as a failure as a team starting with him is the right call for this not to be a media circus. It is frustrating to not know but its the right call not to put our business out there and make it a national story "kicker got call wrong".
  24. 1 or 2 seconds changes everything. We may be talking hail mary, let alone that the returner may have thought that was their only chance and tried to make something happen wasting 3-6 seconds.
  25. Sean Payton 2006 - NFCCG Loss 2007 - No Playoffs 2008 - No Playoffs 2009 - Super Bowl win 2010 - Wild Card Loss 2011 - Divisional Loss 2012 - No Playoffs 2013 - Divisional Loss 2014 - No Playoffs 2015 - No Playoffs 2016 - No Playoffs 2017 - Divisional Loss 2018 - NFCCG Loss 2019 - Wild Card Loss 2020 - Divisional Loss 2021 - No Playoffs (No Brees) Arguably Sean McDermott has performed better on average than Sean Payton in his first 5 years and McD didnt even have a 4-5 year veteran in Brees for 40% of it like Payton did. No McD hasn't achieved the ultimate goal yet, but he will. Your argument to shake it up and tear everything down for a guy that is more likely to lose a playoff game is just plain stupid. Ridiculously stupid. Sean McDermott 2017 - Wild Card Loss (No Allen) 2018 - No Playoffs 2019 - Wild Card Loss 2020 - AFCCG Loss 2021 - Divisional Loss It boils down to the coaching staff unbelievably thinking this game was out of reach for the chiefs. They wont make that mistake again.
