  1. Or people know that trade will never happen, and realize it is just another form of attack on the QB that we actually have. Would I rather have Drew Brees or EJ Manuel? Obviously Drew Brees, but that isn't going to ever happen, and putting down our current QB because of that is obnoxious, and annoying, so sure people are going to return the favor.
  2. Technically!, but we demand a buffer!
  3. Yep, this is why Watkins was so open a lot of the Miami game.
  4. Oh nevermind then. We are going to take out 14 years of no playoffs on players who were in middle school when it began and on the team when it ended. Gotcha. Makes sense.
  5. 13 games left + our 1 loss. A prediction of some sort? Who knows. I hope to God we win this week, so that people won't revert back to suicidal tendencies. Although I look at other fans boards to see what the opponents fans are saying and it seems to be a common theme with all teams after they lose a game. Calling the season before it is over is the cool thing to do these days. Makes you look smart.
  6. EJ spreads the ball around quite a bit with the limited throwing he does. (We are a running team.) 16/22 throws in Chicago: Woods 4/78 Williams 2/36 Watkins 3/31 Jackson 3/13 Spiller 3/11 Summers 1/4 16/26 throws in Miami: Watkins 8/117 (He was literally wide open half of the game) Chandler 2/27 Jackson 2/27 Gragg 1/14 Spiller 1/9 Woods 1/5 Williams 1/3 23/39 throws in San Diego: Jackson 8/78 Chandler 5/74 Spiller 3/37 Watkins 2/19 Woods 3/19 Williams 2/11 Edit: I like how EJ performed in the first two games. In the Chargers game, they were throwing all kinds of twists and such at our line and it was having a definite impact on EJ. That will happen sometimes with a young QB. Hopefully he will settle down this week, and our line will pick up these types of defenses better. Oh and the penalites! That game might have been a bit different had we not gotten over 100 yards in penalties calling back critical offensive plays, and defensive holds.
  7. Patriots at Chiefs is definitely a game I want to watch
  8. Oh I agree, that's why I said he was a good veteran backup. But I think people are putting their hopes in a bench guy who isn't going to turn out to be the QB we all know they want and crave. It is going to go from "Put Orton in, EJ sucks" to "Good thing we gave our 1st round pick away, now we will suck for 3 more years!" when Orton doesn't Peyton Manning his way to the post season. (Of course we would hope he would though!)
  9. They are also delusional if they think Orton is the answer. He is a great veteran backup but there is a reason he has played like 21 games in the last four seasons and is 6-15 across 3 teams.
  10. Agreed. The team has to grow together, especially the receivers and the QB. EJ made a few bad passes but he also completed 23/39 and 238 yards and a TD. I suggest people watch other QB's. They seem to miss the times when they make those same throws. You know, those "amazing, and athletic" catches that the QB placed right on the numbers , or the passes where they overthrow their receivers, or toss the ball out of bounds. Saw Peyton do it a few times today on critical downs. I especially loved tonight, when I could be wrong (watched too many games) but I think Newton overthrew Benjamin down the sideline, and you just saw a burst of speed from Benjamin to get that ball. With the Bills receivers, it would have simply been another bad pass by EJ.
  11. But don't you know, we could be 3-0 if we had Peyton Manning!
  12. The defense is supposed to be our strong point. They didn't look it. The Chargers front four looked better than ours today. It's like it flip flopped. Chargers weak O-line performed better against our top D line, and our O-line did crappy against the Chargers weak D line. It was ridiculous. Where were our blitzes? Where were our turnovers? Why did Rivers have all day to wait for receivers? Why was it 4 on 5 on the line all day long? Yeah come out at the half and let Rivers do an 8 minute drive to put them up by 3 scores. Yeah that was a real game changer/motivator. This was a team loss. The offense folded to an iffy defense, and the defense folded to an iffy o-line.
  13. Employees should have some recourse if the employer is not following the law. That said, these girls know what they were getting into, and deemed it worth it. I won't do them the injustice of assuming they were idiots for working for $2000 a year. They clearly have/had aspirations of what will come from being an NFL Cheerleader beyond the $6,720 a year minimum wage would have gotten them (20 hours/42 weeks a year at $8). Edit: Someone should ask them what would be more worth it - Working at McDonalds for $7,000 a year or being an NFL Cheerleader for $2,000 a year. What does it mean when they pick NFL Cheerleader for $2,000?
  14. Chris Hayes? You mean Peter Parker?
  15. Is it just me or is it too convienent the the bids are due Monday before the home opener? Hoping for outstanding news this week
  16. And thats why I have stopped paying attention. The rumors, and media exploiting this for clicks is out of control.
  17. i havent been paying attention lately, but I thought the Toronto group kicked Bon Jovi out?
  18. I did not notice, but it probably fired our guys up haha. Was it a 71 yard drive for a TD right after that then?
  19. Yeah that was BS. There were a few PI calls where the receiver was mugging our DB's but we get the penalty. There was also the one where Graham I think? reached up and around the receiver to deflect the ball, being very careful not to touch him and he still got called. I know the NFL wants this to be a pass friendly league (Can't have a repeat of last year's SB), but geez at what point will they start calling "interrupting the act of catching the ball" on the DB's.
  20. RG3 getting beat up. San Francisco routing Dallas. Bills beat Chicago without needing the 7. He got the Indy by 8, but boy oh boy was that close. Maybe he will be 2 for 5 after tomorrow night with the Chargers haha, but the best result was the Bills with ten more than they needed to cover.
  21. You should be optimistic because each game is a new game. Else why bother playing the games at all. Go Bills!
  22. We definitely have to score to win this one, so I hope not. Bears averaged 20+ points a game last year.
  23. It starts out as a joke which gets a couple laughs. "Oh the Bills are x Bad, X could beat them!" and compounds with every playoff less season. It simply isn't funny anymore, which is why the more optimistic of us are annoyed with the naysayers. Most of the time it is people who know nothing about football jumping on the "loser bandwagon" which is even more irritating.
  24. Those are good points, but the Redskins were a 3-13 team last year. That game really could go either way. Neither team looked particularly good in Preseason, and we all know how much Preseason matters around here! The Cowboys offense is what you need to worry about when betting against them. Can Kaepernick and Crabtree outscore Romo and Dez? The Dallas D will be a liability in that, but I dont think it is a sure thing the Niners keep up. Rivers last year was great, but that doesn't mean the Chargers win. Dolphins vs Chargers? Take the 3? Lost by 4. Raiders vs Chargers? Take the 3? Lost by 10. If these things were safe bets, I would just bet full time. As for the Bills, we won/lost within 7 points 8 times last year. Giving the Bills 7 points is a good bet. If we look anything like we did in the preseason, OP will lose the money, but Chicago, Washington, and San Francisco also looked bad in the preseason.
