  1. It sounds like Pegula is going to build one, so we better get over it quickly. He didn't go into this teetering on the edge of whether or not to replace our soon to be 50 year old stadium. My bet is he gets it built by the time the lease expires, and we move right in. Also he seems like a very down to earth guy, and it's just my opinion, but I can't see him bullying the government into paying more than a fair share for a new stadium. On top of that he has no leverage to bully them anyway. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-rumors/2014/10/7/6934579/buffalo-bills-owners-kim-terry-pegula-downtown-stadium
  2. That's the media these days, anything for a buck(or a click?). Love how the Justice system isn't getting flak for dropping charges, and letting these "bad, bad people" walk away (I know they have to sometimes), or it just takes so long with the justice system to pronounce guilt, so people want a private organization to enforce justice in their own way. That's fantastic. Why bother having a justice system? If someone (insert crime here), can I track them down and tell their boss to fire them, or else I am going to protest outside their workplace, because obviously they are a bad company who employ criminals? Also said Boss should resign.
  3. This injury report scares me. I assume from the lack of concern on the board, that a lot of these guys are expected to play? http://www.buffalobills.com/team/injury-report.html TEAM INJURIES NAME POSITION INJURY WED. THU. FRI. 4. Isn't that exactly what they are saying about LeSean McCoy in combination with the Eagles O line? I wonder what they would say if they ran Sproles repeatedly up the middle.
  5. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/transactions/trades Except when they do happen. You are right on the fact that noone will make the OP trade. People are ridiculous.
  6. The 20 yard throw? You mean like the identical albeit shorter 14 yard out he made to Watkins in the 4th quarter, 6+ minutes left in Chicago? (Holding on Seantrel but Manuel made the throw) Listen, I admit Manuel needs to work on his play, but if we would have lost this game, we all know we would of had a "Glad we gave up our 1st round pick and don't have a QB for years to come" thread rather than a "Orton comeback of the year" thread. And we very nearly lost this game.
  7. He dropped a few balls last week, but besides that his hands are like glue for the ball. I don't understand how some of those passes sunday stuck with him. Great trade, I don't think I would be as excited for Ebron, and who knows who we "could of" got next year. Hopefully it will be a high draft pick It certainly wouldn't have been low enough to get one of the "top qb's" that everyone thinks we would have had a chance at.
  8. Which throws specifically? Orton can be a competent QB (he wasn't in the first half), and still not be the reason we won the game. A veteran reading the defense is better than a young developing QB. Not so surprising, but he wasn't "comeback player of the year or even week" either. As you stated, I would give the most credit to the defense, and possibly their kicker/our kicker. Edit: Also just to be clear, I am all for going with Orton at this point, and back to our original plan of EJ developing behind a veteran.
  9. Yeah, I am curious too. It was green. Check out the video I quoted from another poster. You can see it very clearly in the holders eye.
  10. Orton isn't the reason we won this game. Just like EJ wasn't the reason we beat the Bears, and Miami. Bad field goal kicking and a good 58 yarder won this game for us. I didn't see any throws Sunday that EJ could not have done or has not done. The first half was abysmal, but he got better in the second half. It seems the experience is what really helped the team, like how Jackson said, "a veteran presence in the huddle reading the defense".
  11. Jesus Christ, I don't know much about lasers but to be so far away, and have a green dot that large.....no wonder Orton and Carpenter were pissed. They are very lucky we won. Edit: That is clear video evidence of a game being manipulated. Are there any NFL rules on this? Would they just say too bad if we lost?
  12. Bottom line is that there were a ton of factors that led to today's win. EJ's play in the first 4 weeks were a factor (good and bad) of our win/losses, but so was our defense, running game, etc etc Just like when EJ won and lost we don't put it all on him, so when Orton does the same we won't put it all on him. It is always a team effort in a win or a loss. Plus the Lions kicker was playing for our team There are plenty of plays of passes that were behind our receivers, and I guarentee the lot of you were pretty pissed with the team effort (specifically offense) in the first half with little hope to shutout the Detroit offense in the 2nd half and come back for a win. You can't really extract a two players and compare them across two different games, other players performance affect them. It is a team game. For those of you criticizing Manuel because we had so many rushing yards in his wins, are you taking into account all of the rushing yards we had against the Chargers (59) and Texans (93)? Funny how Orton gets a handicap for the poor running game but Manuel doesn't. Not to mention the Oline complaints that are suddenly credible under Orton. Regardless, I say let EJ develop like we originally planned and keep Orton in. We can't be flip flopping or else we will have 0 effective QB's.
  13. Yeah something changed. His accuracy wasn't perfect last year, but he was able to make throws that weren't at the receivers feet. Give us 2013 EJ back!
  14. This article\ also made me think of the people everywhere criticizing the Wilson family for hoarding the billion they were getting for the team, and how they were such greedy people who would sell to the highest bidder with little concern for fans care so much for this team. Not only do I believe they played a role in keeping the team here, but they then went ahead and gave a good portion of the team's value back to the Detroit, and Buffalo communities. Amazing. It won't end though, watch for the tax argument now.
  15. Wow. Bravo Mr. Wilson. Bravo. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/wilson-leaves-millions-to-western-new-york-20141003
  16. Saints fans are complaining that they throw too much
  17. I had whatsoever written but it was underlined and spell check suggested Once soever. So I went with it. Now that the grammar lesson is out of the way..... We are speaking on the injury alone. Kiko hasn't given the Bills squat this year. Sure its a bad analogy because he is on a rookie contract, but he was still a 2nd round draft pick. Could the Bills have picked up someone else who would have been actually playing instead? Please note, that I do not agree with the above thought process at all, because it is absurd and ridiculous. Kiko is still a valuable 2nd round pick despite the injury. Byrd was never injury prone and started 73/80 games for the Bills. The Bills had no foresight on this injury and should not be credited with it being a "good move". If you want to talk about his performance on the field prior to the injury, then fine. But flying off the handle patting ourselves or Whaley on the back because the guy got injured is ridiculous.
  18. What does that even mean? Was drafting Kiko Alonso not a good idea? The guy got injured, this doesn't credit the Bills with any foresight once soever.
  19. How is this a win for Buffalo? Would he have torn his lateral meniscus in Buffalo? Sounds like just bad luck.
  20. He's trying to get his receivers killed!
  21. Reads quicker than who? Comes out faster than who's throws? Not that I think there is a problem with Sammy's comments. If Orton translates to improved performance by Sammy on the field then I don't care what he says.
  22. They wouldn't have made the change if Orton was winning though. That said I hope Orton exceeds your expectations this week.
  23. Although I don't think Orton is the answer, there is no way our current offense out scores Detroit. Especially with our liabilities at CB. Orton is worth a shot, just so we have a shot against Detroit next week.
