  1. Sean Payton (60%) has a worse playoff appearance record than Sean McDermott (80%) and he had a Drew Brees with at least 6 to 19 years experience his entire tenure. McDermotts single season missing the post season was Allen's rookie year. There is no reason to believe Payton would do better outside of grass is always greener on the other side. What we don't have will always be attractive to you guys for some reason, but sorry, the grass is pretty green over here so i think we will just stay put.
  2. Yeah, I thought that was a little overboard though haha. But it is a scenario.
  3. So unless the Broncos or Raiders pull off upsets, the playoff picture is going to look like this with Steelers/Dolphins/Patriots switching in for the 7th seed. Although if the Patriots win and Bengals win we get kicked to 3rd seed and play the Ravens. Really rooting for the Raiders tomorrow.
  4. Isnt Miami starting Mike Glennon against the Jets?
  5. Right and even then I don't want the neutral field either if the Chiefs have the winning percentage. Its not righting the inequity of not playing the Bengals/Bills game, its saying "hey chiefs won but we feel bad so the chiefs dont get ALL the benefits of the 1st seed" which doesn't fly with me. If we would have lost the Bengals game, the Chiefs would rightly have it and if we had won, we would rightly have it.
  6. You also lost the chance at 1st seed as if you beat the Bills and Ravens you'd be 13-4, if Chiefs lost to the Raiders they'd be 13-4 and if the Bills beat the Pats they'd be 13-4. 3 way tie went to the Bengals. I keep saying it but im so damn mad that they are going to ham fist the solution for this problem.
  7. The game should certainly be replayed. Can't believe they officially ruled that out.
  8. Well it is a Bengals fan on a Bills board trying to convincingly argue with Bills fans that the Bengals would have won a game that was not played 😂
  9. You weren't up by 4 scores man. You were up by 4 points. Tampa started out hot too 17-3 and it looked like you couldn't stop them. this is why they play the full 60 minutes.
  10. It doesn't matter if they didn't control their own destiny. Neither did the Chiefs who were depending on a loss for the Bills against Bengals. Fancy that #1 seed gift wrapped for them with a win over the raiders. Meanwhile Ravens can't win their division but can win HFA with a coin flip. Its just a inconsistent ***** show. I surely hope these are all just ideas in the press release and they release something more thorough and consistent tomorrow.
  11. Thats in the release? Why a coin flip for the Bengals/Ravens but KC gets bye (rightfully I guess by win %) but neutral site for AFCCG if both make it? I sure hope they write up a more consistent and well thought out set of conditions tomorrow that applies to all teams, not AFCCG gets this treatment and AFC North division gets this other treatment nonsense. Still wish the game would have been rescheduled instead. Would be so much more fair and easy.
  12. You have to consider Bengals Ravens if the Ravens win, I know everyone is discounting them winning but crazier things have heppened. 11-6 and 11-5 records. I believe they'd play against each other in the Wild Card. Neutral site there too?
  13. They could if they didn't cancel the bengals/bills game and the Bills won. So by announcing the game as canceled, Baltimore has 0% chance to win their division. So yes, that is the complaint. If this were the Bills and the Pats or Dolphins, we would be unimaginably pissed.
  14. The unequal number of games part contradicts the full 17-game regular season part. Id say the former takes precedence but the NFL is fudging this up royally.
  15. That's the other thing. They are instituting this decision and giving the Bengals the division championship before the game Sunday? If Ravens happen to pull off an upset it is going to be a shitshow.
  16. of course but I am referring to if the Chiefs win and the Bills win. Then Chiefs still get the bye week (win percentage) but AFCCG is played at neutral site? So we get special consideration why? Chiefs have the better win percentage in that scenario, they should get both. This picking and choosing the advantages of being #1 seed is just ridiculous. Just make the Bengals/Bills game up. Kick the playoffs a week back and move the pro bowl to week after Super Bowl.
  17. We do have to play a wild card game though? Nice. Really hate this method.
  18. It was a decision by both teams to stop playing. Bengals players were also affected. That said, I agree, I don't want any special consideration, I just want the game to be played. It is silly to me that we may change all the rules and split advantages for being the 1st seed solely because we can't just make up this game. I do think if we did win it all with help from a split advantage like home field advantage then there will be quite a bit of trolling about the Bills having to have that advantage to beat the Chiefs. Its not a huge deal but it will be annoying. Really dislike this idea per the above. I will surely be pissed if we get knocked out in wildcard when we surely could have claimed the #1 seed legitimately. Its just silly. This is an advantage rightly earned by one team or the other. Just replay the damn bengals bills game.
  19. Am I missing something? Isn't winning percentage for a 14/17 (.8235) team slightly better than a winning percentage of a 13/16 (.8125)?
  20. If the Bengals beat the Bills, and the Chiefs beat the Broncos then the Chiefs don't play until Jan 29th. I don't have a problem with that but some people do. I think it could actually be a handicap to them.
  21. Not a bad idea but that potentially gives the chiefs the 2 week bye that everyone is complaining about. Unless we have strength of victory tie breaker? Then it still gives Chiefs a bye week before wild card weekend which everyone is up in arms about. Edit: Oh that also potentially leaves the AFC North division winner undecided.
  22. Last year the Bengals rested their starters to get 4th seed instead of 3rd seed and effectively avoided the Chiefs until the AFCCG. No such luck for them this year unless they get #1 seed, so they will look to get homefield advantage. I looked at this a little while ago and 2020 we played the Dolphins with our starters and obliterated them for the 1st half. We were contesting with the Steelers for 2nd/3rd seed. Last year we played our starters against the Jets because the Chiefs played Denver and if they lost and we won we'd have had the 2nd seed. Denver almost beat them if it wasn't for a Melvin Gordon fumble if i remember correctly.
  23. Yes, its fair. The Ravens have to play a rested Bengals team this week for their division? If the most harm done is an extra bye week for some teams, then this is a good solution. The only other solution that doesn't have a "it's not fair" caveat is making Buffalo and Cinci play 2 games in the next 6 days which wait for it....isn't fair. Affecting bye weeks is the least problematic option.
  24. Cinci would play its starters to get #2 seed and avoid having to go anywhere but KC.
