Updated: The AFC Playoff Picture
What a Tuel replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hard to root for the jets. Hard to picture them winning another game. But I'll be screaming my head off for them to beat Miami next Monday night! -
Jets punt bounced back towards the kicking team, and in their words it "took a (favorable) Jets Bounce"

I would trade away Ebron and next years 1st and 4th for Watkins anyday. And that is exactly what we did. We coulda, woulda, shoulda, had a lot of good players at cheap draft prices in the past. So could every other team. We went out and got exactly who we wanted, and I am extremely happy we actually did that. Mark my words, we will not remember who cleveland picks up with their extra pick in 5 years. It will be a google moment.

Pittsburgh is a playoff competitor. As much as we want to write off the season, a few well placed losses by teams like Kansas City last night, and a few wins in the right places, and we are still in. Steelers fan have an interest in rooting against us if they actually go to the game. A non-conference, non-division neutral site is the best they can do.

Absurd to me that the Justice system decided probation, 80 hours community service, and a $4000 fine fits the crime, but the almighty NFL determines that a 6 game unpaid suspension (I'm guessing 900k a game?) on top of an 9 game paid suspension, on top of therapy (or whatever), on top of probation fits the crime. I guess it is what the masses asked for though.

It's a slippery slope when you start predicting crap, and passing it off as fact. Calling the season over leads to the awesome predictions during the preseason. Who cares if you are right, or wrong, enjoy football season root for our team and the Bills playing. It will be over soon enough and the cravings will begin again. People are always in such a rush for it to be over. Still nearly half a season left.

News Bulletin......its not over until we are eliminated.
-
True, but it was very clear we dominated them the entire game. There is no questioning that. I remember reading the Dolphins forums, and they were saying their team just looks scared and broken lol. Now they are talking playoffs, see what a few wins will do

Misconceptions about Terry Pegula
What a Tuel replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On this you are right. The full impact of Pegula taking over probably won't be reflected by next year, however your OP has the sense of Pegula never having an impact, and we will sustain mediocrity more than just next year. I believe Pegula will have more of an impact than that. No I don't know his plan yet, nor do I think he has one yet, but he is bringing in someone to evaluate, so he does plan on doing something. I think people like the fact that he and Kim don't know, so they will keep their hands off, and put the right people pieces in place to make this team a competitor. -
We did not look bad against Kansas City. We actually looked good, and I was excited...until we gave the game away. In Miami we looked bad. We also dominated them earlier in the year though so who knows. I don't know that we beat New England or Denver, but we could beat Green Bay in our house (Remember the dolphins and jets both nearly beat Green Bay), and Oakland, Cleveland, Jets will be playoff elimination games. That said, losing games to San Diego, Miami, Kansas City do not help our chances one bit.

Misconceptions about Terry Pegula
What a Tuel replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Damned if you fire everyone and guarantee 16 years of no playoffs, and damned if you don't fire anyone, and sustain mediocrity. Doesn't sound as if Pegula can win in your book, maybe he should quit while he is ahead? All joking aside, we have no idea what Mr. Pegula or his wife will do. RIP Mr. Wilson, but we have been 14 years with no playoffs. The biggest change we could make was a change at Owner. Hopefully a new Owner will shake things up a little bit, and get us out of this rut. Maybe he won't shake anything up and we will fumble around as the continued joke of the NFL, that's just too depressing, and I would rather be optimistic. It really is the best chance we have had to break this drought though. -
People are hilarious. Remember Austin Davis? There was even a thread on him on TBD. Well in case you forgot here is what he is up to now: Week 8 150 yards 1 td 1 int Week 9 105 yards 1 td 2 int Week 10 216 yards 1 td 2 int 1 fum This isn't to say he won't be good, or doesn't have the potential to improve, but this is what you get with such a small sample size. Let's wait and see before we rush to judgement on how we should have picked up Mark Sanchez.

class action settlement for bills text messages
What a Tuel replied to joepa722's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well anyone can make a lawsuit so that's nothing special. http://www.cnn.com/2...f-duty-lawsuit/ I could see them winning because of the fine print. "We will only send you x number of messages" or whatever. The penalty of $60-$75 dollars per person up to millions of dollars? Prove to me you had $60-$75 worth of damages, and maybe we will talk. Otherwise, they should have been forced to pay for any overages they caused. And if you want to be stingy, the per text fee from cell phone providers for using valuable texts. Either way, you will never get near that for 7 extra text messages. As for any other types of "damages" you should be awarded? You shouldn't get any. Because you weren't harmed. You. Just. Weren't. Edit: I forgot to address "let business run amok". If the courts want to take on spam, there are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar, better violators than a service that you voluntarily subscribed to (for free) that sends you alerts about things happening with your favorite team. -
I don't know if any of you follow the Buffalo Bills Facebook posts, but our fans are usually pretty awful after a loss. The comments on the posts gearing up for the regular season during the awful preseason were horrid. People want to get their amazingly funny, cool/sarcastic remark in so everyone can have a good laugh and see how funny/clever they are! It's what happens when you give millions of people a microphone.

class action settlement for bills text messages
What a Tuel replied to joepa722's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It may not be hurting the Bills in the long run sure, but I think the more irritating part is the lawyers, and the class action representative that cashed in on this. For every suit like this that may not be technically hurting the defendant, there are a whole lot more that actually hurt real people who have businesses. I guess I would have liked to see such a public case be slapped down for the benefit of those people. -
class action settlement for bills text messages
What a Tuel replied to joepa722's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a good thing there weren't any misdeeds to be punished for. Like I said originally, the Judge should have put the hammer down and made the Buffalo Bills pay for any overages the guy or any other claimants had. "That will be $0.03 for you. That will be $0.03 for you." This is the definition of a frivolous lawsuit. I thought someone had to prove they were harmed in some way. Can I sue the local penny saver for hanging it on my door even though I never even signed up for it! Seems like 3 times a week! Wooest me! -
It isn't about running up the score. Most people are referring to the two (3 and out) punts after the 2 Geno INT's when we were only up 7-0. If you can't see that after 4 turnovers in one half, and the Jets were only down 7 as a bad thing, then I don't know what to tell you. Let me ask you this, if we somehow get 4 turnovers on Peyton Manning, and we are leading into the half by only 7 points. Do you feel comfortable going into the second half? Or even Hoyer for that matter. We won't get 4 turnovers on Peyton Manning. Our offense needs to do better. Please do not act like conservative play calling means our players weren't actually trying to score. 1-10 Brown right guard for 3 yards 2-7 Brown left guard for 2 yards 3-5 Orton incomplete deep to Watkins 4-5 Punt We were up 7-0 at that point. That play calling is no different than "super conservative, let's not run up the score, we are winning 27-17, play calling" 1-10 Dixon left guard for 5 yards 2-5 Dixon left guard for 3 yards 3-2 Orton sacked 4-7 Punt Both of those drives, the Bills were playing to win. The offense DOES need to do better.

Havent Seen Bryce Brown do much...
What a Tuel replied to Braedenstearns's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Certain people project Brown and Dixon being suitable replacements for Jackson and Spiller (when Jackson retires, and we supposedly lose Spiller). I disagree, but at the same time, I think all 4 rbs would do better if our line could run block worth a damn. -
Anybody see Bradham's taunting penalty?

Havent Seen Bryce Brown do much...
What a Tuel replied to Braedenstearns's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It does mean that if Bryce Brown doesn't do well, maybe there could be other reasons why our running game isn't up to snuff. Or we could just go your route. "Bryce Brown sucks, 3 years and he has done nothing! get him off the team!" -
Rewatching the game, and reading the JETS forums (I know, it isn't healthy), we gave them hope repeatedly, when there should have been NONE. Why is it so hard to admit that our offense should have looked more capable even during a win? Our defense won't get 6 turnovers (we can hope though) against the Broncos, Patriots or the Packers. Will 17 points be enough to beat those teams? Our postseason run may come down to one of those 3 teams, if we don't run the table on the other teams we think we can beat.
