OK how about more than 1 out of 5 on offense? Also it's not about checking message boards and you know it. -
EJ vs Derek Carr - perception

The point is that we don't have a suitable alternative and screaming that he sucks and is worthless is ridiculous. Some people might argue that this type of criticism might motivate him to step up, but I disagree. It's verbally abusive and I don't believe it helps a thing. When a suitable replacement arrives or is available and the bills don't start or pursue that person, we can complain about the front office, but that savior qb isn't out there. My take on the whole situation is that I know our defense is on a timer but we have a developmental qb and we just have to deal with that, and give him all the tools he needs to get better. It is funny how we complain and agree about the poor o line play, which led to worse than normal rb play, lack of a big tight end, and lack of a decent coaching staff. All of that directly impact qb play as well. Since our savior qb isn't here or developed yet, let's take advantage of our 100 million dollars in cap savings, and improve all of those areas. I bet we see an improvement in qb play when we do. -
People are ridiculous, he would be a perfectly fine 2nd or 3rd receiver. Last year it almost made sense to let him go when we had Williams. Many people second guessed that because they weren't sure about Williams, and besides him our veteran WR was a 2nd year guy, and it turns out they were right. I am willing to bet if we had SJ this past season (or Williams) playing, we win an extra game or 2 and we are in the playoffs. Now we are looking for a 3rd WR again and people turn their nose up at SJ. People really turn on players quickly.

Yeah. Just so you know we were all rooting for you to beat the Seahawks. I think you would've had a better shot beating the pats*

If they scored 1 td they'd win by 2 tds? No doubt our offense was horrid and their offense played poorly but that should be credited to our defense. Plus it's debatable that it was a td pass. Big yardage yeah but we will never know if it was a td. Thanks for the kind words ice bowl, Packers fans are always decent people.

Fish in process of extending Tannehill
What a Tuel replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still hold to the impression that Tannehill loses 4 in a row for us, and the fans and the former regime, would have been tearing their hair out that he isn't the answer and a bust. He would have been benched for whatever veteran we had at the time. In those first 3 wins Tannehill went: 24/38 for 272 yds 1 td 1 int 23/34 for 319 yds 1 td 24/35 for 236 yds 2 tds 1 int In those 4 losses Tannehill went: 22/35 for 249 yds 1 td 3 ints 21/40 for 307 yds 1 td 19/37 for 194 yds 3 tds 2 ints 22/42 for 192 yds 2 tds 2 ints for clarity in his 4 2014 games Manuel went: 16/22 for 173 yds 1 td 1 int 16/26 for 202 yds 1 td 23/39 for 238 yds 1 td 21/44 for 225 yds 2 tds 2 ints We do not know the answer to your question about Manuel in 2014 because he was not given the time to afford it. Maybe he isn't a 40 pass a game QB, but we were a running team in the first place aren't we? And John may be right, we may not have time to actually develop a QB, but then we shouldn't be drafting QB's with the expectation that they get it right within the first 14 games they play. -

What a Tuel replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see you conveniently attribute the first 3 tannehill wins to keeping him in but the 4 straight losses afterwards certainly wouldn't have been tolerated with manuel. Kind of like how 2 straight losses got manuel benched after 2 straight wins. passer rating tannehill game 1 82 2 107 3 94 4 57 5 86 6 71 7 60 passer rating manuel 1 91 2 98 3 85 4 59 Manuel did not have the same opportunity to grow as tannehill. -

Do a comparison of their first year stats. They were about the same if you extrapolate a 16 game season for manual, with tannehills td/int rate significantly worse. If you don't extrapolate they are at least comparable. was manuel given the same opportunity as tannehill? Absolutely not. Neither would have tannehill I know, I know....the eye test -

Oh I definitely agree, other religions are largely peaceful these days. Christians get bashed regularly, and they just deal with it. One only has to post a picture of the prophet mohammad to see how much of a "minority" of the islamic faith would turn to extremism. What should have happened with the Charlie Hebdo comics, (and maybe it has, but I didn't see it.), Newspapers and media all over the world should have covered the comic strip, published the one that stirred up the extremism, AND published the one after the attack and put them on the front page of newspapers, tv, across the world. Send a message that we will not be intimidated into sacrificing our rights. I know it's easy to sit here behind my computer screen and ask the media to do this, but all the same their reaction was just gutless. If you think the above "would just stir up unnecessary trouble" then we know what boat you are in. Not aimed at you FireChan, but wanted to get that out....somewhere. Edit: Instead we get this kind of crap: What about their disrespect for our core values? Like you know, free speech, and.....life? -

Regardless of whether the Crusades were defensive or not, they were predated by another religious war, and another before that etc etc Is that the stance we are taking in these modern days? Continue the trend of religious violence? Or are we going to evolve at some point? I know, I know, it's improbable. I would have accepted this argument. Instead he tried to justify atrocities by saying "It's just how the world turns guys, it just happens, even by us" -

http://www.businessinsider.com/obama-people-committed-terrible-deeds-in-the-name-of-christ-2015-2 Don't worry guys, the Christians did mean stuff too. We are one and the same. "This is not unique to one group or one religion," Obama cautioned. "There is a tendency in us, a sinful tendency, that can pervert and distort our faith. And in today's world when hate groups have their own Twitter accounts and bigotry can fester in hidden places in cyberspace, it can be even harder to combat such intolerance. But God compels us to try." It may not be unique to one group or religion but when you have to go back hundreds of years to find an event that even compares, then it may be time to admit that a particular religion has a problem and we won't stand for it. -
I'd like to know who we expect to draft at 19 this year. Good or bad it should be on the table so when the next jj watt or whoever becomes evident based on their rookie season we don't have 1000 threads saying "we could have had odell beckham and x player" I think that is the 20/20 hindsight people hate. Obviously it's a little early but yeah that would be nice to know before the end of the 2015 season.

I know this thing has been talked to death but geez people are still arguing about it. Scenario 1 Bills draft Beckham - costs one 1st round pick Scenario 2 Bills trade up and draft Watkins - costs two 1st round picks and a 4th. The difference is 1 first round pick and one 4th round pick.

2015 draft class v 2014 draft class
What a Tuel replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If only it were that easy. Someone would have to have a good reason to give up another first rounder to move up in this draft.....and they would only move up to 19 -
True but I've seen injuries just by people falling on legs for example. I guess it's the off season so he could heal but man this is risky in my opinion. Glad to see it though!

Patriots announce press conf for 1/24
What a Tuel replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Patriots didn't have a history of skirting the rules, or blatently ignoring them then I would be all for "just letting it go". However they skirted the rules and did something questionable just the week before this game too. Their leeway or good will has been spent, and it is about time people start questioning their tactics. -

New England Patriots caught deflating game balls
What a Tuel replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/video/aikman-on-deflategate-i-can-t-imagine-brady-wouldn-t-have-known-012115 I posted this already, but this thread is moving fast. Aikman says he can't imagine Brady wouldn't have known, and that when he played no one would mess with the game balls without checking with the QB. On another note, and I am not defending them, but is there a chance Brady went through "his process" and picked out underinflated balls, and then they went for inspection and were inflated to the appropriate level? And then someone let the air out of them after without Brady knowning? Then he would at least be telling the truth that he didn't notice the difference. That sounds plausible, but then again I watched the conference and he is clearly lying through his teeth. -
