No team has patience to let someone sit anymore when they don't have a viable option at QB. The pressure of the unknown QB that could be discovered if only "they just played him" is going to be too great for the Jets especially. Unless Fitz has some awesome games, and transforms into a starting QB, they will throw Petty in at some point either this year or after parting with Geno, or Fitz next offseason, they will put him out there in 2016. I do wish we would have kept Fitz despite the price instead of picking up glass kolb to fill the gap while Manuel sits.

My biggest problem is that the Redskins passed him up. I think the whole round would've went differently had they not. I can't believe the Saints, Browns, and Vikings all passed up picking Parker too.

What was wrong with Watkins stats last year? Seemed pretty good to me, nearly a 1,000 yard season in his rookie year. As for next year? Are you saying he won't do as good? Better? the Same? Better will make him outstanding, and I can't see him getting worse. The same? Maybe, but I think it's doubtful, we will see though.

Niners getting new alternates? Figured I would throw this in here rather than clutter with a new thread. I'm not sure I like them. Black is great and all but when has it ever been associated with the Niners?

I think there is a myth out there that good QB's don't need good WR's. There is something to be said about your QB making your WR's better but decent QB's also tend to suffer without good WR's. Any QB is better with Sammy Watkins out there than without. Bills fans seem to have ADD when talking about QB's. They give up and move on to the next prospect as soon as the current one doesn't pass the eye test. The Bills are setting up their "project" QB's to succeed even though you already gave up on them. Until a better QB avails himself, this is exactly what they should be doing. They are also certainly keeping their eyes open for another QB.

I think the answer is in your post. He managed put up great numbers for a rookie, and did it under a deficient qb, and an offensive coach that used him as a "decoy". He was also hampered a bit by injuries, but that is also an excuse. I'm reiterating what you said, so I think you agree, but 982 yards 6 tds is nothing to sneeze at under those conditions. I also look forward to seeing an amazing year from him!

It isn't kool aid. Watkins is a great and talented WR and we went up to get him. Odell Beckhams talent has no impact on that, and if anyone would have suspected such talent, we might have traded up for beckham. Either way we trade up for a WR. You can't have it both ways. You can't allow the Bills to be the only team that saw Beckham as the best WR in the draft, and still draft him at 9. It only works like that in hindsight. That said, the book has not even closed yet, on who will be the best WR in that draft.

Yeah I can't imagine Tom Brady would not be trying. There is an argument for Gronk and others being out, but Brady doesn't ever want to lose. Didn't they have him doing 4th down scrambles?

Maybe, I don't know if it counts postseason. 2nd best against Belichick is certainly not bad either though. I think you have to give Rex a little credit for taking it to the Pats, especially last year with that squad.

I don't have time to find the exact stats, but I read somewhere that Rex Ryan has the best win percentage against Belichick of any coach, and the games he loses are very close games. So yes, he has a losing record against Belichick, but he puts up the biggest fight, and with crappy teams as of late to boot.

ODB was great his rookie year. Spectacular even. However, we are constantly reminded that we do not have a great QB or even decent one. Why is it so hard for people to comprehend that Watkins would have done better, with a stable/solid QB? Let's just give it a few years before we declare Beckham the "best". So no, we aren't saying we would've screwed up anyway, we are saying that no one rated ODB that high, and we had a different target in Ebron (who might still turn out) in mind. Just like the other 10 teams who didn't pick Beckham.

I believe that the Chargers really want to re-sign him, but the ball is in his court on it, besides offering a ton of cash/franchise tag, they don't have much of an option. The trade option with the Titans despite their GM squashing it seems the most reasonable for Chargers fans, who will be left without Rivers, or Mariota in 2016, and will be just good enough this year to have to trade up for a QB next year. If they don't trade, Rivers will hit free agency next year, with a significant bias towards Tennessee if he really has connections there.

Not sure when it originally aired, but NFL Network just predicted us to be 12-4. Heath predicted the Cardinals perfectly 16/16 last year.

Why aren't our reporters so bias and unreasonable? Given the slightest chance, ours will use the "yeah but..." line to say we won't succeed or win. Their reporters say stuff like: "Amaro catches the winning touchdown pass in the final minute, costing the Bills a wild-card spot. Ryan fires his headset into the ground and later remarks, "I wanted to kick their a--, and they kicked mine." He responds by abolishing team captains for 2016." It sounds like something a fan on a comment board would say. "The Chiefs will welcome back their former starting quarterback, Matt Cassel, now with the Bills. Things won’t go much better for him." Really? Is that your expert opinion? How about Alex Smith going 17/29 177yds and 0 tds 0 ints last year against the Bills defense. Things likely won't go well for him either.

Geez, I haven't been able to get tickets for the Home Opener in awhile without going to the secondary market. What are we looking at for this section if we get them, or what was the going price last year?
