I don't get this. They can get in a huddle and call intentional grounding, or pick up a pass interference flag because a ball was tipped, but they can't talk to each other and say...."well he batted the ball so throw a flag". I understand the can't throw a new flag when a play is being reviewed, but one official was talking like he saw it, and was going to throw the flag but thought it might not have been intentional. To me that warrants a discussion with the other officials. I had Calvin Johnson in my fantasy lineup and while no one cares about my fantasy team, it was a real eye opener how many catches were called back on ridiculous penalties.

The whole touchback rule should be changed either way. If a player fumbles a ball out of bounds, the ball is returned to the team that last had possession at the spot of the fumble. Why should it be different fumbling into the endzone? They really need to change that. Edited to add: why should the defense benefit when they did not or could not recover the ball?

I haven't seen a lot of talk about the picked up roughing the passer call. Not one but two Giants hit Taylor well after he threw the ball. They pick it up because our player "pushed" them into Taylor. I wish I could find a good GIF of that call. It was ridiculous.

The Truth About This Team
What a Tuel replied to Doug Flutie Band's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These aren't excuses why we didn't win, they are excuses why we have other games to look forward to. We are undeniably better with Miller, Glenn, McCoy, and Watkins in the game. Therefore when they come back, we will be a better team. -
Robert Woods Fumble - no forward progress?
What a Tuel replied to Bills!Win!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem I have with it is that although Woods was still fighting for progress, they were holding him up while stripping the ball. Maybe he should have just fallen down on the ground but at a certain point I don't think he could have without losing the football so he just had to try to hold on. No whistle was coming though so inevitably he was stripped. -

Average? After they opened it up through the air he was making very good passes. The first half was awful but that was a combination of play calling and missing 2 starting o lineman than Taylor -
2015-16 Buffalo Bills Negative Thread

Personal fouls and unsportsmanlike penalties aside the refs were calling ticky tack calls on the bills even while the commentary was saying they were letting them play. I guess they meant just the giants. On top of that they pick up flags on the giants. Officiating is horrid. -
Why is everyone so surprised?

Can you tell me which games we win and lose so I can prep myself from week to week? It should be pretty easy for you. -
Watkins Injury Update - post em here
What a Tuel replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haha, I was thinking the same thing. Or Calvin and AJ Green last year. Awful busts of WR's they needed to play for their teams last year! And one was injury prone with a toe injury, and the other with an ankle injury. I can't believe they retained them this year. -
Watkins Injury Update - post em here
What a Tuel replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see WGR is stirring things up as well now. Calling Watkins injury prone and that it is worrisome. I think people just see what they want to see, the guy isn't injury prone. and I think that term is overused for whenever a player you don't like is injured. -
Spiller M.I.A. in New Orleans
What a Tuel replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You forgot a stat. Spiller - 672 carries, 205 pass targets McCoy - 1,349 carries, 338 pass targets McCoy is clearly the better RB, but the picture you painted is incomplete, and seems manipulated to show comparable attempts/targets. An argument could be made that CJ didn't deserve more carries/attempts but it still should be disclosed. That said, what is with the told ya so? the guy just had knee surgery, just came back, and had 4 total carries, and 3 targets over 2 games. They are obviously bringing him back slow. -

I was talking about this yesterday and came to the conclusion of a tie as well haha. -
Sammy - Time for this dude to start playing ball.
What a Tuel replied to jumbalaya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't misconstrue that you were bashing Sammy. I was pointing out that last year with an inferior offense, and QB, he put up comparable numbers to the three elite WR's you listed's rookie years. Just like Mario Williams, fans have ungodly expectations for the players we pay a lot for. I agree though, nothing needs to be done, we need to be patient and wait for Tyrod to build a rapport with Sammy. He seems to have a special connection with Harvin, probably because he practiced with him all offseason while Sammy was recovering from hip surgery. -
Wife of Brent Grimes arrested at game
What a Tuel replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't she call out the police at some point? I may be mistaken now that you guys referred to her calling out the NFL, but I thought she was getting mouthy with the whole anti police thing going on. -

While Tyrod has been great so far, we don't quite have a Matt Ryan, Ben Roethlisberger or even Andy Dalton type QB to throw him the ball. Everyone will openly admit that (Plus our line) for his rookie year at least. Also stats from those 3 WR's in their first 2 years (3 for Antonio since he didn't play most of his first year) Julio Jones 13 games played 96 targets 54 rec 959 yards 8 tds 16 games played 129 targets 79 rec 1,198 yards 10 tds AJ Green 15 games played 116 targets 65 rec 1,057 yards 7 tds 16 games played 164 targets 97 rec 1,350 yards 11 tds Antonio Brown 9 games played 19 targets 16 rec 167 yards 0 tds 16 games played 123 targets 69 rec 1,108 yards 2 tds 13 games played 105 targets 66 rec 787 yards 5 tds Sammy Watkins 16 games played 128 targets 65 rec 982 yards 6 tds On par for 70 targets 37 rec 528 yards 5 tds Does anyone realistically believe that Sammy is a 528 yard receiver? Can we please acknowledge other factors beyond "Sammy just isn't good enough"? Geez for the love of god just look at the tape. -

Seriously? Up 27 to 0 and you want Sammy to play banged up? Sammy isn't here to pad your fantasy stats guys. I realize he will never be "worth" it to some people, but it's time to let it go. The game tape proves what he is capable of. -
Is everyone happy Brady got to play us?
What a Tuel replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we have to be careful along these lines. There are a few games this season that we might have started taking lightly such as jacksonville in London, I think this Patriots game brought us back to reality a bit. Every game is it's own match up. -

What a Tuel replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was along the lines of he should be suspended and that is life if they have to play us without him. We had to play against the Colts without Dareus. The only caveat was the National Media would have given us little credit. But this was months ago and I was wrong, they are actually doing pretty good with us despite the bad loss, (maybe because of Rex). -
I know I have been warned, and I know this is trolling but really? Evans? Didn't give 110% by putting his foot down in bounds for his sole catch this week. 0 catches 0 yards Odell is great and all, but he does not catch every Eli Manning overthrow. Also targeted 20 times in two games to Sammy's 11. (Not saying we need to target Sammy more, but those are facts). Kelvin Benjamin is out for the year so you are living in the past. But having watched a lot of Carolina games last year, he was certainly targeted a lot by Newton, and he certainly had some drops.

Yep that's what we saw too. The safety may have recovered, but not before Woods catches it for a huge gain
-
I think it would have been a touchdown had it been intended for Woods, meaning the ball was thrown to him in stride. I was at the game, and initially I thought "this is it!" until it became obvious it was going short. An argument could be made that the Pats D wouldn't have come off him then, but I believe he had a few steps on him. Edit: And looking at the post a few posts above mine, I can see maybe it woudn't have been a TD, but still a big catch, He has to fall out of their graces before they start calling him out for that stuff, plus he didn't cost a 1st round pick so it doesn't bug them that much. I think both of them are on the same level and they can both be decent QBs when they want. That said I think Tyrod had a lot of the same problems EJ had the first 4 games last season. Dancing around in the pocket, taking sacks, and dumping it off every single play whether its working or not.

At one point I saw him lining up and waving his arms around at Tyrod. I don't presume to know what he was saying or trying to get across, but it was something.
