FanDuel and DraftKings Banned in NYS
What a Tuel replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't read your whole thing, but the first few sentences sounded like a FanDuel Ad.... -
:Like I said, we would not be out, outside of a 5 win streak to end it. KC and the Steelers would have to win their games. We would be dependent on them, but we would not have to win out. Obviously we would be better off winning out, but there are situations that can occur if we don't, and we will still make the playoffs. I know people want the quick ultimatum of win or we are done, but it just isn't the case at this point of the season. It certainly makes it much more difficult, but it feels like this was the same talk after we lost to KC and Miami late last year and people said we were done too. Time will tell. It was different 2 weeks ago, and it will be different 2 weeks from today.
-
True. I was just pointing out that they aren't 4-0. They started out 1-5 and are now 5-5. They will burn out eventually or else it will be one of the best comebacks to make the playoffs in awhile.
-
All I know is this is a must win against the Chiefs. A loss to them means we would be dependent on them losing 3 of the last 5. I can see Oakland putting up a fight, but like people have said Baltimore is beat up badly, they dismantled the chargers away already, and the Browns...well they are the Browns, I'd rather not depend on them Week 16. Win this week and improve our odds this week dramatically.

FanDuel and DraftKings Banned in NYS

There is a lot of difference. Season long fantasy is a 4 month long investment and you may be rewarded for your effort in the end. Daily fantasy is dumping money on Sunday, and regretting it when they lose on Monday. Too much money has been changing hands in an unregulated system. This is why it has gathered government attention. Gambling laws are not there to prevent gambling, they are there to prevent the abuse that results from reckless gambling. I know, I know, state lottery, indian casinos, etc but that is the reason hypocritical or not. -

I believe that was quoted by John Oliver in his Last Week Tonight episode and was only referring to the first half of the MLB season. I haven't seen any other stats of that kind, but if anyone has them I would be interesting in taking a look! -
People have short term memory. It was just 4 games ago they were on a 5 game losing streak.

The James white touchdown...

You guys think this poster has it wrong? Check out the other Patriot fans. They are convinced that play call was an effort by the NFL to ensure the Patriots do not have a Super Bowl run -
6 targets 3 catches. 1 was the one you guys are knocking him for not coming back and getting. 2 was the one he came back and drew the PI call 3 was uncatchable On the other side 1 was the one handed grab that he pulled through a defender 2 was the one he came back for and "gave himself up" to end the game 3 was a catch for 16 yards that he somehow stayed inbounds So one out of 6 he didn't do what he was supposed to. Do you realize these other WR's do not have a 100% catch rate? edit: I mean the evidence is pretty plainly there if anyone looks at Pittsburgh and Antonio Brown. He very clearly isn't the same WR without Roethlisberger giving him the chance to make the play. 4 games 8 targets for 59 yards 0 tds a game without Roethlisberger 6 games 14 targets for 113 yards .6 tds a game with Roethlisberger

Fair weather isn't the right term. Bipolar is more suited I think.

So he didn't fight for 1 of 2 catches and that is the difference huh? I think the difference and people earlier nailed it is that Tyrod doesn't make the kind of throws that enable Sammy to go up and fight for the ball because he doesn't make those throws to begin with either because he doesn't see them, or he fears INT.
-
Alex Smith doesn't really tear up team's secondaries very often. He is currently the 21st ranked QB in QBR. 26th in TD's, 24th in yards per game. He is 34th in INT's with 3 so I will give him that, but Alex Smith is not a QB machine.

If you look at it that way, then we have only played 2 good teams, and played pretty well against one of those 2 last night. Comparing teams beat to each other is ridiculous. Every game is it's own match up. It is why the Green Bay Packers lost to the Denver Broncos who lost to the Indianapolis Colts who lost to the Buffalo Bills who lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars

Mike Pereira: Bills should have had one more play

More and more of these penalties are coming out to be incorrect despite being initially thought correct. I think it would have changed the entire game. -

I haven't read all the pages, but I just read the following explanation.Absurd I know, but it is what the officials were thinking I guess. The problem I have is that somehow Brady and Belichick would've gotten that 2 seconds back if it was them through arguing or special deliberation between the officials. Could you clarify what was seen on the last play to rule the player [in bounds]? GS: What we had as far as the last play with Buffalo’s reception was that the receiver gave himself up voluntarily in the field of play. When that occurs and we deem that the runner, which he would have been after he maintained possession after his reception, he was now a runner, had given himself up in the field of play. Then [the] fact that he scoots out of bounds is not as important. We wound the clock. It was a judgment call by that head linesman that he felt like he gave himself up in the field of play. It’s not a reviewable play. So winding the clock or stopping the clock is not something we review. So, in his judgment, he deemed that the runner gave himself up in the field of play voluntarily, which does put him down by contact in the field, so he wound [the clock]. -
This sounds about right. Maybe this is why there was a rumor that Roman wanted Cassel more than Taylor. It might have fit his offense a little better with a prime running back, and a QB who can make the short quick passes that Cassel can. (I am glad he lost on that) Although I don't think Taylor has chemistry with Watkins for some reason either.

The camera view was awful too. Almost the entire time you couldn't see half the field.
-
I hate to admit it, but Taylor sucks

New England's defense actually measures up pretty well against the rest of the league. Not excusing the offense, but the NE defense haven't been as awful as you are implying. Look it up. -

The fickleness of bills fans and their QB's is hilarious. They would be calling for EJ if they didn't throw him under the bus already. I'm surprised I don't hear Josh Johnson talk lol. In your opinion has the defense failed if they allow any points? Has there been a single shutout this year? -
When targeted he made amazing catches. Was it no targets in the first half? It is Tyrod or the game plan, not Watkins abilities. If you'd stop hinting at Watkins not being up to the task you'd see we actually agree, but so long as you continue to, then I will continue to disagree with you. Yeah it was like he pulled the ball through the defender with one hand. Can't wait to see it in slow motion on gamepass.

If there is a good pic of it, it will be my new profile pic. Amazing!

Hey get out of the Watkins thread with your QB, and season ending talk! this thread is supposed to be bashing Sammy! I came here to witness the hilarity, but not of your variety.
