Appreciating the best GIF of all time

We will just conveniently ignore the other 10 points he gave the Bills. That one damn missed extra point though! -
Marrone/Schwartz to Miami? Nope. Gase it is.

Go back and watch the game. While our offense didn't do us any favors, Carr (a rookie QB) threw and the rbs ran all over the vaunted Bills Defense for a lot of big plays. McFadden 9 rushes for 54 yards (25 yard long) Murray 23 rushes for 86 yards (25 yard long) Thompkins 5 catches for 90 yards (50 yard long) Holmes 3 catches for 73 yards (51 yard long) This was a 2-13 team not including their win to us. Yes, but your original point was that the defense compared to last year was identical and therefore should have played better. There are a number of differences between this years defense, and last years. It isn't the same, 2 key players were injured most of the year, Mario Williams did less than what he could under this scheme, Searcy left, Spikes left. Out of all of that we netted Darby (thank God for that, anyway). It's not letting Rex off the hook, it is just much more complicated than - Last Year Good? This Year Bad? Rex suck. -

And the offense was better this year than last. The defense was hit hard by injuries/mario though. Does anyone remember the Raiders game last year when Dareus went out in the 2nd quarter? And we let the Raiders put up 140 yards rushing on us in a game where we believed we were in playoff contention? Teams averaged 106 rushing yards a game against us that year. The Raiders were the 8th worst rushing team that year at 94 yards a game. While Rex's scheme does need work, and does need more players to fit, can we not imagine what the 3-13 Oakland Raiders would have done to us last year with the injuries we have this year? Throw Mario Williams not trying into the mix and forget it. It's not an excuse, it is the reality of what happened this year. -
The Doug Whaley positives are taking huge hits.
What a Tuel replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are criticizing Whaley for the role of a player in a 2016 defense with a coach that was hired in 2015 that was drafted in 2014? But everyone should tell us again why continuity is a bad thing. -

It's your opinion that it was ineptitude, and an avalanche of public support from the simplistic view that worse than last year means inept coach, and not that there were a multitude of different factors that led to the year that we had. But yeah, Rex Ryan injured Kyle and Aaron Williams, Rex Ryan caused EJ Manuel to blow the game against the Jaguars. Who knows what happened with Mario, but the rest of the line seemed capable of making tackles at least under this "horrible scheme". There are valid reasons why this team is going to be more capable and better next year. Will they for sure? Who knows. It also amuses me that Doug Marrone could go 6-10 his first year, got a second year and improved the team to 9-7, but with Rex that's UNpossible because he is just too goofy in press conferences!! -

Not excusing the coaching staff, but the injury bug hasn't exactly been kind to the Bills at any point this year. There is a difference in that. Harvin, Taylor or Watkins against the Jaguars would have us saying 0-1 games different than Marrone. -

Schwartz already said he doesn't want to go to Miami as a DC didn't he? Is he a huge fan of Marrone? http://national.suntimes.com/national-sports/7/72/1951007/jim-schwartz-doesnt-want-coach-ndamukong-suh Edit: The article clarifies that decline a little bit “Taking the job in Miami definitely would have chewed directly into the money he’s getting through the end of his Buffalo contract, which means he would have been working for free in South Florida.” -
Is Mario playing tomorrow or sitting?
What a Tuel replied to TAinLack.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why did Corbin Bryant have 21 tackles and Mario Williams have 3 tackles over the last 8 games combined if Mario Williams didn't quit? Why did Mario Williams have 19 tackles across the first 8 games if his 3 tackle performance was due to scheme? No one doubts that the defense didn't do as well this year because of adjusting to Rex's scheme, but the drop off in production from Mario Williams in the second half of the year is telling. Edit: To answer your question, they should bench him, but we are shorthanded as it is. -
Sammy Watkins DeAndre Hopkins & QB's
What a Tuel replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a mixture of both types of people. The ones that think Watkins isn't good enough are flat out wrong. The ones that think he is under utilized are half wrong and half right in my opinion. I think Tyrod is capable enough to get Sammy Watkins the ball more, and if Sammy is open then why not. I also think that Sammy isn't super human and he isn't open every play though. We need a real #2 WR to help with that like Harvin was supposed to be. -
East Carolina Fan LASHES out at Bills over Ryan Comment!
What a Tuel replied to Vinaccia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How does one obtain a letter addressed to Rex Ryan unless mailing it to journalists as well? Manufactured news haha. -
Maybe he was misused, but stones to call Rex out are one thing, not trying after the midpoint in the season while we are in playoff contention is quite another. Mario will perform well on another team sure, but it isn't like he was performing on this team anyway.
-
Clearly Mario at this point, but I am not sure he doesn't deserve to be sacrificed.
-
Just pulled that play up, and Dallas got a delay of game on that play. The way Mario was twitching, I want to say he was going to rush anyway. I have no idea why he was lined up there. When they lined up again, the offense showed an identical look, and he lined up closer to the D line and did rush. No one got there in time, and a 22 yard first down was thrown to Williams on 3rd and 19 Edit: A great effort by Dallas' Williams to get the 1st down.
-
In the second half of the season Mario had almost a quarter of the statistical tackles (a quarter is being generous) that the rest of the D line had individually, and only a portion of production he had the first half of the year. He did get injured, and did miss a game in the second half of the year, but that reason has taken a backseat to complaints about the scheme. If he was too injured to be productive then he should've been benched, but then again we were already shorthanded, maybe Rex had to make do with what he had.

Looks like we'll have to draft a WR #2

I don't know, he led the team in first downs last year. People act like he is an invalid. He can still play, and does play for Seattle. The leadership is a fantastic bonus. -
Belichick Indirectly Takes a Shot at McCoy?
What a Tuel replied to Vinaccia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
See, I can see this point, there is a difference between coaches perspective, and a fans perspective. However McCoy hasn't had a history of injuries, and Belichick would have to be commenting on the fact that McCoy would have gotten injured anyway under Chip Kelly, and therefore would not have performed consistently over the entire season. McCoy's history has not shown that, and I hardly think that is what Belichick meant (assuming the OP is correct). I especially don't think he was talking about McCoy because Chip went out and got Murray for about the same price, and he didn't perform well. They would have been better off with McCoy over Murray for the time he played. Regardless I don't think the OP is right, I think it was more of a general jab that Chip didn't make all the wrong moves because a lot of the players he got rid of weren't the superstars people made them into. That isn't necessarily a jab at McCoy, I would say he is one of the few that performed well out of the bunch. -

You may joke, but I would dread to see the 2014 offense without Fred. -

Well in that case then Edelman should be on Belichick's cut list. Same with Blount, Dion Lewis..... Edit: On another note, if Belichicks word is gospel, then shouldn't we be heeding his word about coaches and 1 year contracts? -

I am sure you are going to say winning despite the fact that without McCoy we likely would have been worse. We will just assume that going with a 5th round rookie in Karlos Williams would've been the smarter idea going into the season. -

Jackson was injured half the year but he has had a decent year when he played. Put up 8 for 87 yards and a td against the panthers. 2015 McCoy has 895 yards on 203 carries (4.4 ypc) and 3 tds this year - Karlos was a vulture for a lot of the time 2014 McCoy had 1,319 yards on 312 carries (4.2 ypc) and 5 tds last year - Sproles and Polk were definitely vultures when Chip wouldn't put McCoy in in the redzone 2013 McCoy has 1,607 yards on 314 carries (5.1 ypc) and 9 tds in 2013 - Chip played him a lot more in the redzone Yes he didn't repeat 2013, but statistically he was just as solid as last year when he played. -
The thing is, although the d line did perform worse under Rex, releasing Mario isn't even about the scheme, it is because he simply gave up. His stats post bye week are way below the standard for the rest of the line under Rex's scheme. You can't pay a guy $20 million a year at the risk he will just give up half way through the year because he doesn't like the scheme.
