  1. Not sure if this was aimed at me. While I don't think conservatives are wrong for pushing this, I do think they are fighting a losing battle though because they are botching the delivery of the message. There are 3 separate issues here that have nothing to do with what people "identify" as. The free for all issue (AKA Target policy) where they openly announce you can do whatever the you want. The High School Locker Room issue (and any other lockerrrooms) where liberals say it is just fine for anatomically male teenagers to get dressed, and shower with anatomically female teenagers. The Bathroom issue is the one they are focusing on. I don't think they should be. I think that trans people have been using the opposite bathroom for a long time and it hasn't been a big deal. It is where you get into the first two issues that it causes the problems, but this is the one they are focusing on, and they will lose if it goes to the supreme court.
  2. http://dailysignal.com/2015/12/21/why-these-high-school-girls-dont-want-transgender-student-a-in-their-locker-room/ Decent article actually giving a voice to other people who are having their rights infringed on for the sake of "equality". And then there's the ACLU “This administration has gone on television and talked about our client’s anatomy,” Yohnka, criticizing the school’s decision to go public with the negotiations, told The Daily Signal. “If they had done this to any other student in this district, the parents would be there lynching the board.” “The school district says at the end of the day that they’re still going to limit unfettered access to locker rooms based on anatomy, which fundamentally still misunderstands the notion of what it means to be transgender,” Yohnka said. “The anatomy in some ways scientifically is the least important indication of gender identity that there is, and yet they seem to be relying so heavily on it.” No one cares about what you identify as. This is why there isn't outrage about sexual preference and using the designated bathrooms or lockerrooms for that. This has everything to do with anatomy, and that the fact is a 16 year old anatomical boy should not be changing in front of, and with 16 year old girls. It is inappropriate no matter what anyone "identifies" as. Otherwise why do we have separate facilities at all?
  3. That is why free for all" solution is not viable. It makes way too many aspects of behavior unenforceable. I do not want my Trans friend changing in the same locker room as my niece no matter what he/she identifies as. That is inappropriate in my opinion and I am not a bigot for that reason. The whole thing is silly, but there has to be a well thought out alternative to the law and free for all methods.
  4. DC Tom nicely laid out the applicable nature of the law. As for the enforcement, you used to be able to throw a man in jail for even peeking in a woman's locker room. Now that man (who saw no harm in reducing himself to peeking in a woman's locker room) can now stroll in, get naked, and observe and you don't see a privacy concern with that. In what scenario could he be removed? Does he have to be obvious in order to be arrested? It is just interesting to note that we are very worried about Trans people's rights and sure that's great, but are opening the door for people to violate privacy rights across the board. I also don't think a grown man getting naked in a woman's locker room is acceptable solution either. But if women are ok with it then whatever, but something tells me they are being bullied into thinking it's bigoted to think it's not ok.
  5. I am curious what you think the solution to this problem is. The trend is no longer about a man dressed as a woman. This goes far beyond that, and into the realm of self identification or even non binary (neither male or female). There are legitimate privacy concerns especially in terms of locker rooms where one may not wish to be seen by someone of the opposite sex no matter what they identify as. Similarly they do not wish to see a member of the opposite sex undress in front of them. I have seen no serious suggestions on how to resolve this besides "get over it you bigot, why do you care who is in the bathroom with you" which is hilarious because they don't care about your comfort in these areas but the comfort of Trans people is paramount! "we would never want to make someone who identifies as a female use the men's room with other men, that would be yucky and a privacy issue for said Trans person!" Why do we currently have separate bathrooms if this privacy means nothing?
  6. I am not sure people realize that the opposition isn't against certain types of people, rather it is against the people who will take full advantage of the normalcy and acceptance of a man in a woman's locker room. God forbid a high school locker room. http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/ct-transgender-bathrooms-aclu-palatine-met-20160510-story.html To say those people don't exist or they are not a huge problem is naive. They probably outnumber the people you are giving the additional rights to.
  7. Who was the Jets leading WR in 2015? Starting QB? Free agent pickups? The decent draft they finally had? It all just boils down to the coach because it suits your agenda. They will be better with Matt Forte too. They are making "win now" roster moves, it isn't just Bowles the wonder coach. My opinion is that they won't end up winning anything in the end, but they will be tough competition until those players go over the hill.
  8. Who needs it more? https://twitter.com/KP_Show/status/727597280270802944/video/1
  9. If he was on our team "injury prone" and "concussions" would be thrown around a lot.
  10. I have been wondering this. What's with the tacking on of years? Gillislee is getting up there too! Best not get too attached. I can't believe Karlos Williams is almost 26 either. Why would they draft such an old man?
  11. It's easier if you just list them all out Opponent Rushes Passes Colts 17/41 yards 3/46 yards Patriots 15/89 yards 3/27 yards Dolphins 11/16 yards 1/10 yards 1 td Bengals 17/90 yards 2/4 yards 1 td Jaguars 18/68 yards 2/36 yards Dolphins 16/112 yards 2/7 yards 1 td Jets 19/112 yards 5/47 yards Patriots 20/82 yards 6/41 yards 1 td Chiefs 19/70 yards 3/31 yards 1 td Texans 21/112 yards 0/0 yards Eagles 20/74 yards 4/35 yards Redskins 10/29 yards 1/8 yards Let's apply your logic to the Rams and Todd Gurley. In Gurley's 13 games, 7 were losses, and in those losses he averaged 61 ypg rushing. In the 6 wins, 2 of them he rushed for 48 and 83 yards. It's clear that there is no correlation that Gurley helps the Rams win games.
  12. Don't worry, even if we started winning, it would be the "doomed" sentiment that the window is closing, and we are wasting time. The faces may come and go, but the negativity is here to stay. See it on the Patriots forums, the Broncos..etc naysayers are everywhere no matter the circumstance. As for the topic, I believe Shady is certainly worth it to the Bills. Watkins absence was part of it, but the Titan's game is remincsent of that fact. Would there be similar arguments about Sammy if he wasn't on a rookie contract right now?
  13. every time I see this topic pop up, I see "Brady reinstated" as I am scanning the topics. Not fun.
  14. So that's what scarred EJ!
  15. Kiko was nearly DROY wasn't he? I'd say that poster nailed it on that side. Can't blame a fan for being excited about a QB pick either. Either way, I am sure we can dig up lots of threads of "can't believe we didn't pick that guy like X team did. Same ole' bills", and said player falls into obscurity.
  16. Bills Fish Jets Pats* Jets, and Dolphins are kind of interchangeable. They both made dumb moves after their first good picks in my opinion.
  17. Not only a 2nd, but a 3rd and 4th from Tampa at least. That is far too pricey IMO. Anyone remember Mike Nugent? http://www.ganggreennation.com/2011/4/7/2095517/top-ten-new-york-jets-draft-busts-7-mike-nugent
  18. Sounds good, so long as they have leadership that won't bow to the fan pressure of the unknown QB to what they see on the field. That's my problem with us doing that. Say we pick Connor Cook, how long before fans become a disruptive force of yelling for the "potential" of Cook becomes too much for Management to let Tyrod do his thing? "If you listen to the fans, you'll be sitting with them" Also I don't like their picks on QBs.
  19. How many successful QBs has John Elway drafted?
  20. wish we would've went offense. Was this a bigger need than a 2nd legit WR?
  21. did we move up? They say we still have 18...
  22. A few at the actual draft maybe. Definitely heard one "FREE TOM BRADY" amongst the boos at Goodell Sounds about right. They could be the luckiest SOBs ever.
  23. Thanks! I'll check it out. Edit: So it looks to me like it is for our home games. https://www.primesport.com/d/buffalobills?utm_source=buffalo_bills&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=travel_packages&utm_campaign=buffalo_bills_web_hot_link_menu So I went to the Miami site, and they have a similar program. Hard to tell though since tickets aren't available to the public yet. http://www.donshulahotel.com/miami-golf-packages-en.html
  24. I was going to post something about this precise game. My brother is getting married this year, and we were thinking of going down to Miami that weekend, doing some charter fishing and going to the Bills game with a group of people as sort of a bachelor party thing. Does anyone know the best way to do this? Are there such things as group rates or bundle rates on plane tickets/hotels/dolphin tickets? Any insight would be great.
