The biggest problem isnt that they called the holding. They called it right. The problem is that they didn't call probably 20 other holdings of the same nature earlier in the game. They magnify big moments through inconsistency which makes fans unhappy.

Its nice when you can put everyone in their own little buckets but its not realistic, nor is it perspective, its just convenience. I remember when people were saying Luck/RG3/Wilson were the "new gen" and everyone predicted years upon years of success. 10 years later and 2 have been retired for several years and the 3rd is a shell of what he was. I don't know if bias is the right word but what would you call it when a different QB (in this case Lawrence) adjusts and makes a great play, and Collinsworth just can't resist mentioning Patrick Mahomes. "We've seen Patrick Mahomes King Patrick throw a few of those". Like wtf even is that.

Not trying to discredit them. Just saying it isn't super impressive when the bye week is considered. If they won 8 games to get there then sure, but 4 games (1 each year) against the leagues weakest playoff opponents? No, not super impressive. Give them credit for being 1st or 2nd seed all 5 years though.

Yeah those Colts/Texans/Browns/Jags teams were 4 tough wins to make 4 of those conference championships. Its not so impressive when you need to win 1 game to make it there. Especially when you are gifted the 1st seed due to a tragedy. The bye week needs to go especially after they narrowed it to one team. 1st seed gets a bye and plays either the worst division leader or the worst wild card seed to make the championship game. 🤢

Can't blow it in the playoffs if you don't make the playoffs. Fans always look to the unknown mystery candidate to solve all our problems. So long as we consistently make the playoffs and win playoff games, no changes need to be made. Its that simple.
